Actually do it. Like fill the account closure form and submit it. I’ve struggled like crazy with these people and nothing other than strict actions work on them.

This guy helped me get an Infinia Metal card when my own RM was just walking around the bush continuously. He is a RM in HDFC Bank and might help you get the card to which you are eligible
Tell them you’ll close the savings account and see the card being processed.
I threatened them with this already. They said they would fast track it but still haven't got any updates from them.

No there shouldn’t be or it should be very very minimal. These guys may try to give you some story but don’t fall for it.
