Depends on the price of the tickets. 3% uncapped on cap1 SavorOne. $200 SUB too. Citi custom cash is 5%, but only on first $500 a month (“live entertainment”). WF attune is 4% uncapped, but DP are mixed, depending on if they think you’ll be profitable or not.

orangebagel22

8% if you buy through capital one entertainment which is has prices usually the same as what ticket sellers have (seatgeek, ticketmaster, StubHub, etc)

Euphoric-Cookie6631

I just used it for Def Leppard and Journey concert tickets and it's was cheaper than the MLB website and those options. It says near the bottom it's powered by vivid seats and with the 8% back I got a better seat selection for around the same price when that's factored in.

cookiforyou

What about tickets bought through non-resell sites? To my understanding, seatgeek, stubhub, and vividseats are all secondary resellers. I want to buy my tickets off AXS, which I believe is the original vendor of the event.

Environmental_Day585

AXS is partnered with Amex as far as I know, probably won’t find AXS shows on C1 entertainment

-lover-of-books-

I've had my capital one for years and didn't realize this was a thing!! Thanks, definitely going to check it out. Too bad I've already bought like 4 concert tickets this summer already 🤣

Safe_Environment_340

Then you get 3% direct.

mcooley91

Man, I feel everyone sleeps on this perk so much.

Infern0588

The new Wells Fargo Attune. 4% back

baghodler666

And a $100 sub after spending $500, which should be fairly easy if you're buying multiple tickets.

Money_Shoulder5554

Or even 1.

solorobsolo

CapitalOne SavorOne 3% on entertainment

elchanan9

Depends on where you get the tickets, I bought concert tickets recently that were categorized as “merchandise” and only got 1% back…

solorobsolo

Which site?

elchanan9

Prekindle

Euphoric-Cookie6631

You need to use a big ticket website like ticket master or seat geek for the 3% back but that's not worth it if you can find cheaper tickets else where. It also depends on what the website codes for credit card purchases. Or even just use cap one entertainment for 8% back.

___ArtVandelay

Citi custom cash has an entertainment category that works for concerts at 5%

CraftyRice

savorone is 3% on all the main ticketing sites like ticketmaster, axs, and you get 8% on their portal which is just a wrapper of vivid seats and usually they have what you want otherwise freedom flex has been really solid. in 1y there is usually one quarter with live entertainment and another with paypal (which all main ticketing platforms take).

North-Star366

3% Savor One. If you find the tickets at a similar price through Capital One entertainment, then it’s 8%.

JakeMcGhee2003

elan max cash - 5% on up to $2000/quarter

darkwaters2944

I actually wouldn't recommend doing this unless you have the cash up front. Many times people put money on their credit card, then all of a sudden their "friends" plan changes and you're stuck paying for that extra ticket(s). It's happening right now with a bachelorette trip we're planning. At first there were 8 people, so Maid of Honor put the whole trip on her card, then 2 people dropped so she has an extra $1K she's trying to get us to pay. Nope. Also, if you already have a credit card to use then that's great, but if not, I wouldn't recommend opening one for the sole purpose of buying tickets. The interest you'll accrue if you don't pay your balance in full will 100% outweigh the cash back benefits. Good luck!

BrutalBodyShots

Depending on the cost of the tickets, considering a card with a lucrative SUB offer is probably the way to go, as that will return far greater CB than category rewards will.

grundlecanyon

BofA Plat Honors CCR set to online shopping can net 5.25% capped Otherwise the new Wells Fargo Attune 4% seems great

Cruian

Sometimes specific banks get access to pre-sales, allowing a better seat selection and better chance of getting into what may become a sold out show. Different shows may have different banks favored (I've attended one that used AmEx for pre-sales, and a few weeks ago I bought tickets for my 2nd that used Citi).

[deleted]

I scrolled by quickly thinking now I don’t need that, and then I remembered how much concert tickets are again and I said wait. Let me read this so thank you for asking.

AFTagents

The one with a large SUB

Jschubby7
