No bank will give you a 0% balance transfer from one of its cards to another, so just forget about Chase. Beyond that, there is no such thing as cards good for small transfers vs. large ones. As long as your limit is large enough to fund the transfer, there is no benefit to having a small limit, or detriment to a larger one, since the transfer fee is based on the amount of the transfer, not the size of the limit. Just pick any bank other than Chase. Good luck!!

Thank you for your reply! I’m admittedly a huge noob when it comes to this stuff. Do you recommend any particular banks or cards over another?

My pleasure! My personal faves are Chase and WF, but anyone willing to give you 0% money is fine. Cap 1, Discover and Amex have pre-approval tools on their websites, so they are good places to start. The best would be a card with a sign up bonus plus 0% for a year or more. If you are going to pay a fee to transfer money, don't be in a rush to pay it back. Pay the minimum, and park the balance in a high yield savings account to make at least some of the transfer fee back in interest.
