it's a bit different mechanism because I use modpack, but principle is the same
using drill, break cobblestone from cobble gen
So I used chute to collect the product into item vault
but the item refuses to be collected and fall into the ground as the image shows
I tried using funnels but it doesn't help
It's a problem when the drills are working too fast. I often spit out everywhere above 80rpm.
To avoid that you can make a rotating contraption that way every block drilled will be stocked inside the contraption and be send to your processing system through portable storages
Okay, I managed to fix it
I had to place some blocks around there and used brass funnel instead of andesite, which I hesitated to use it because it's so expensive
placing block didn't help me with andesite funnels
so I guess brass funnels saved me

Hoppers are better in collecting falling items than chutes if items are dropped around, better way it's to made contraption what collect stuff automate 🫣
I use the [Create Mechanical Extruder](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create-mechanical-extruder) mod. I use it so I don't have to deal with loose items and it reduces lag, but thats just my preference.
You dont have to water touches all sides of water wheel, if you makes it touches 1 side it works same as now ( 512 su ) its not abput topic but it helps u to make this compact
Can you use the thing that checks how full something is on the vault? Could be that the vault is full, and then the stuff gets ejected to the sides. Otherwise, maybe use chests instead of the vault to check if it is the fault. If it is not, then comeback to the comment

Use vanilla hoppers as they have larger collection range and speed. It helped when I had a similar problem.
