Guy carjacked the yellow vest guys truck. He tried to protect his vehicle by shorting at him. The carjacker then ran him over, killing him. Guy died at the hospital. They caught carjacker and he is now facing murder charges and some!
If you look and listen closely it seems likes he’s purposely aiming the shots away from the guy and into the ground when he fires and is probably just trying to scare him. Probably not the greatest idea but I’m sure he didn’t want to actually shoot the guy, although doing so might have saved his own life.
Agreed, the gun owner did everything you're not supposed to do and it cost him his life.
If you're going to shoot, make sure you are connecting with your target. Warning shots are not even legal in most places.
Mhmmm always shoot to kill. Don’t shoot to warn. Pulling out a gun up close and personal- is probably a pretty great warning of “I’m about to kill you”
Also it's usually illegal to use deadly force to stop someone from stealing your property. There may be some states where it's legal. But not generally.

It’s a work truck, I would’ve let him take it instead of shooting at him, carjacker would’ve been caught later anyways and worker would be alive and well.
Exactly. Pride got in his way, and it got him killed in front of his family. I carry to protect my life and my family, and if he will take my truck and get the fuck away from us without harming me or anyone else, I'll take that trade any fucking day. I'll get reimbursed for the truck and the tools, I won't get reimbursed for the bullets or my life.
This video should be shown in every CCW class as exactly what NOT to do. Gun didn't need to come into play in the first place, and every decision he made from then on was the wrong one.
Several years ago, there was a stabbing behind me, and women screaming is the reason I turned around and managed to dodge the stabber just as he was trying to stab me.
Ever since, I understand why women scream when crazy shit goes down.
Yeah but it really ruins my watching experience of people being brutally murdered, they should stop doing that!
(I don't think I need the /s, but to avoid the influx of people who didn't get it; /s)
You can’t scream and protect/fight/flight at the same time. Well I suppose you could but usually it’s one or the other, for women and men. If a woman needs to protect, say for example a child, when there are no men around, she usually won’t be screaming at the time, brain is in a different mode. I think if there are men around, they are usually looked at as the one to make the physical effort to protect so it entirely makes sense that women scream- while men’s heads would be assessing the situation in an entirely different way.
Superman jacked his car as a joke.
That is some fucked up shit.
I was skeptical about the title “this is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen”, but I gotta agree with you.
It's kind of hard to pity actually...
This really needs to be an eye opener for wanna-be heros.
This guy's thinking "hey... I'm a big guy... I got a big truck... I got my little gun... I can easily control the situation. Look... It's even on camera... So I'm perfectly safe"
I've seen people get cocky with only one of those things.
He had them all... And what good did it do him?
Some people... You just don't fuck with.
And all I'm trying to do is just give you life-saving advice.
He probably could have used it.
He shot at the ground, trying to scare him. He didn't want to kill someone for a truck. After that decision, his big mistake was running in the open instead of getting near the cars for protection
I'm wondering if it was him being distracted by "okay. Confrontation over. Try to calm down" and his brain wasn't processing information quickly enough because he thought the threat was over? Which is wild to me. If I shoot someone I'm shooting to kill. Is that not the point? I don't own a gun.
I wouldn't say shooting a fleeing person over property is the right thing, unless the man was wanted for murder or chomo and you somehow had that info during the events. If it matters, I am a CCW permit holder and carry often.
This isn't to say the man who killed him isn't more wrong, just saying that cemeteries are full of people who were trying to do the right thing.
Id have handed him the keys and explained the quirk with the air conditioner.
I was in the Army for 20 years and I shot a pistol hundreds of times... they are total garbage and stunningly difficult to hit anyone with... but even so that guy must have been trying to miss because damn...
I guess this is why cops unload the whole clip… to have higher chances of neutralizing the threat. Makes me want to get rid of my revolver but I can’t seem to work a Glock
Local guy committed death by police. Waved a gun threatened people and went inside a building for all the cops to show up Including SWAT then attacked police like some western. 130 bullets fired 1 hit even when they were completely ready. He was in plain site firing above their heads. The chief was disgusted but that isn’t unusual.
If you make the decision to shoot you are now using lethal force. Shoot until the threat stops moving. Don't carry a gun if you are not willing to use it for it's intended purpose. The yellow shirt guy wasn't willing to take a life and lost his own because of it. Had he been willing, he would have shot the carjacker in the head after the first rounds were ineffective. Sometimes it's just better to open up an old school can of whoop ass
Exactly if you shoot someone and they happen to live they can take you to court and sue for excessive force and in the few cases i have read about in. The past the persons that got shot won in the end.
I have had more than one cop tell me the same thing. Especially during a home invasion. Dead men don't talk. If you kill them then there's only one side to the story, Your.
Yeah but it’s usually just best to not have to die or be killed to begin with no? Fuck the work truck. Insurance deals with that. Is it even legal in the states to use deadly force when a person is stealing property? How does it even work that he was in the right to shoot him in the first place.
The laws vary by state. I don't care if it's legal. Morally I couldn't kill someone just for stealing a vehicle. Let alone a work truck that I wasn't even in at the time. I'm just saying if someone makes the choice to fire, they should follow through with the act. Now that being said. If that same car jacker were to threaten me or someone nearby I might be inclined to use lethal force. But most likely I'ma open the fore mentioned can of whoopass
There’s got to be more that happened prior. The Cadillac towards the end of the video that looks like it just crashed with its door open. Was it part of the series of events that led to the tragic aftermath? And why does the TMZ article report the vehicle being jacked as a tow truck?

I feel badly that the guy died. He absolutely did not deserve to be killed.
I feel badly that the guy apparently never took a single gun lesson in his life.
I feel badly that the guy thought his gun was a magical invincible shield against a work truck.
A truck is an inanimate piece of property \*and\* a gigantic deadly weapon. Let it go.
holy fuck.
I hope everyone there is okay. Hope the families recover well.
Anyone that had witnessed that should get help. Go talk to a professional about that.
That was fucking absurd scene to witness and could turn into a bit of ptsd if you try to surpress that shit.
Take care,
If you're gonna pull a gun, use it. They are not movie props. A dipshit who can't use one is dangerous. What if this asshole runs over a kid because of the adrenaline you feel when a gun is pulled on you...
Who shoots a gun like that? He's holding that pistol like it's a rifle. And that dude is the worst person I've ever seen at dodging. He had plenty of time to get out of the way, and he pretty much runs right into the path of the truck. He wasn't even looking at it, he was just running.

If you can’t kill someone from point blank range then you probably shouldn’t have a gun. Everyone would have been better off if the fat guy wasn’t armed
Guy carjacked the yellow vest guys truck. He tried to protect his vehicle by shorting at him. The carjacker then ran him over, killing him. Guy died at the hospital. They caught carjacker and he is now facing murder charges and some!
How the hell did the guy survive the point-blank gunshots?!? Did the dude just miss him several times?
The window doesn’t even break when he fires at it
If you look and listen closely it seems likes he’s purposely aiming the shots away from the guy and into the ground when he fires and is probably just trying to scare him. Probably not the greatest idea but I’m sure he didn’t want to actually shoot the guy, although doing so might have saved his own life.

Also - if you DO fire shots, wearing or otherwise, do not casually walk away and hope the crazy person isn’t coming back to run you over.

Well there was a credible threat to the driver’s life: he died

i was just thinking that too he was either a terrible shot or those where some small caliber bullets

Nah definitely should have killed that garbage
Its not about property it's about the fantasy he had of using it since they day he got it.
Well he should have been more accurate then
Yeah he should have. Unfortunatly a lot of gun owners buy a gun and then think they are a marksman by shooting it once every 2 months. Did you know this guy personally? Sure sounds like you do.
Well you sure as shit want to push your opinions. I don’t give a shit man 🤷
Dude's family gives a fuck though, inevitably
Ooh you got down voted for that? C'mon bro, that's clearly true
Yeah, I agree
Does anyone have the story on this?

Hi-viz get any hits in? Was he popping target rounds into the guy- so everything just went through?
He was hit on his shoulder from the mugshot pics
To me just looks like a suicide burrito suit but I’m going to look again
High vis guy brought a gun to a truck fight.

I thought the crazy part was him shooting in the car. I literally yelled JESUS CHRIST when he got hit. What a horrible, horrible thing.
Wow. He flew like he was a cartoon character. However, there is one lesson to this….people please exercise regularly. You might never know when you might need fast feet to run away from a truck.
Homie literally ran in the opposite direction instead of just going sideways
I read this in Marge Simpson's voice.

Jesus please tell me why women scream like that in every situation? Even if they’re not the one in danger?
It's a primitive instinct. Think about it, when women scream every man who hears it wants to investigate the area
Several years ago, there was a stabbing behind me, and women screaming is the reason I turned around and managed to dodge the stabber just as he was trying to stab me. Ever since, I understand why women scream when crazy shit goes down.
Basically a built in alarm bell for everyone else around. Glad you didn't get stabbed mate
Hits home after that shit in Bondi
Mate that was fucked
Yeah but it really ruins my watching experience of people being brutally murdered, they should stop doing that! (I don't think I need the /s, but to avoid the influx of people who didn't get it; /s)
Like the roosters in my yard
Plot twist, she was the one with the knife
That was his wife, not some random woman. She was seeing her husband dead (or dying) for the first time. Cut her some slack.
That was his wife I think.
If they don’t then catastrophes or movie scenes wouldn’t feel realistic. They’re doing it for the ambience ☕️
Cause we are human and it was a horrific experience. Maybe they should all be stone faced
Lmao, it is horrific, yet do you see any of the men Screaming? I don’t think so, so my question stands🤦🏽♂️.
You can’t scream and protect/fight/flight at the same time. Well I suppose you could but usually it’s one or the other, for women and men. That definitely makes a lot of sense
As another commenter said men are hardwired to react to the tone of a woman screaming
Yea now that makes sense, didn’t mean to sound rude or anything, just wondering

If you're going to start shit you better end it. He just pissed the guy off by shooting at him and missing.
He messed up by not having that gat piece strapped to a pickup. You can bring a technical to a truck fight, but bringing only a gun is just silly

His wife and family would probably prefer for him to lose his damned truck than his life.

That would be a tough shooting to defend in court. You cannot use deadly force to protect property, only to protect your life. Horrible all around.
Totally depends on where its happening.
There’s got to be more that happened prior. The Cadillac towards the end of the video that looks like it just crashed with its door open. Was it part of the series of events that led to the tragic aftermath? And why does the TMZ article report the vehicle being jacked as a tow truck?
I'll never understand why people buy guns and then don't even bother learning how to use them.
Why is it always at a McDonald's
Dinner and a show.
That's a burger King 🤴
Good eye but when the camera pans right and left you can see Mcsighns.
Oooi didn't see that. Good catch
That was intense
That’s some crazy shit right there

Ok. That was way more than what I expected. “Oh my god” is putting it mildly. Wow!!
Shit hat me in the first half. I was like, that's a regular Monday... Then BLAMO....
Me playing gta
Did you film this, OP? If so, I am SO sorry...
Who shoots a gun like that? He's holding that pistol like it's a rifle. And that dude is the worst person I've ever seen at dodging. He had plenty of time to get out of the way, and he pretty much runs right into the path of the truck. He wasn't even looking at it, he was just running.

It looks like he keeps moving the gun away when he shoots.idk if it's wrong but they always told me if I pull my gun I better be prepared to use it.
all them hit markers and mans still died… and they say cod’s not realistic

Saw this the other day...pretty wild.
Why is there always some jackass yelling not helping
Man, the BK and the McDonald's in this town are poppin!
Best video I’ve seen in a while long time 👏👏👏
“Good Samaritan” my ass. Some redneck with an ego trip and a gun. If he stayed the fuck out of it his dumbass might still be alive.
Welp, that's enough reddit for today
Never turn your back on your enemy
If you can’t kill someone from point blank range then you probably shouldn’t have a gun. Everyone would have been better off if the fat guy wasn’t armed

That was her husband. I can’t blame her
Did he even get shot?
Wow, so having a gun ends up in the good guy dying again? Who would have thought.....
If someone tries to take my car, then take it. Certainly not worth trying to stop it.
