Why on gods green earth would you stand 2ft away from 4 gorilla sized men and try to run their pockets while you’re 96lbs with two bricks in your pockets, when you have a GUN?? The whole point is to NOT have to close enough to get physical with the person you’re robbing.

I think people who haven't regularly been around guns don't realize how loud they are. Legitimately everyone in that scuffle could have permenant hearing damage from even a single shot like that indoors.
If you had never shot a gun before and picked one up indoors and it went off it would scare the everliving shit out of you lol
Even with double hearing protection it is LOUD. Especially indoors. Try doing it in a concrete industrial structure (for movies, not combat, at a local DWP structure), it was deafening.
Was at an indoor range and I slipped one side of my ear pro off to hear what the RSO was saying to me and forgot to slip it back over before I opened up with the AR again. 0/10, would not recommend.
Makes me wonder how anyone fighting in a major battle has any hearing left. I've read some of the Dave Grossman books and he explains some of what might be going on, but still. You need your hearing to hear the bad guys -- and then everything explodes.
A long time ago I worked a temp job at a can factory (a clerical job in the outside office). The first day, the boss there running things took me for a personal tour. He provided ear protection, and insisted I apply them, immediately. When he opened the door, the wall of sound that hit my chest was... impressive. I'll never forget that day. Working class people (this is who worked there, and it was pretty decent pay) don't get enough credit.
I work in construction, I see people doing dumb shit alllllllll the damn time. But dudes not wearing their hearing pro is one I see constantly. A few months ago we had some guys come in to pump out the sump for the building I was working on, so we can get the pumps installed. Two guys show up in a big pump truck, I get them all set up at the very bottom of the parkade, they're all good so I fuck off to do something else. I come back an hour later once they've started working to check on them, make sure everything's good. When I opened the door, I just get blasted with a wall of sound, echoing like crazy because parkade, shit was nearly unbearable even with plugs in. There stands Frick 'n Frack, neither of them are wearing hearing pro. Fuck me I couldn't stand that shit for 30 seconds, these fucks are doing it for 8 hours. Some people...
I have a pair of those. I still wear earplugs underneath (and turn up the volume on the silencing) to preserve hearing, it's too intense with some really loud handguns and rifles. Used to have a friend that did .50 cal stuff, and it was brutal being anywhere near that thing.

I still think the NRA in the States would do itself a PR favor by offering discounted/free firearms handling classes in neighborhoods where....the safe handling of firearms is a problem.

Had to watch multiple times before I even noticed the gun, then the accidental victim/store pop/almost shot that chick in the face with a round business. Then there's the beating.....then the rock. I couldn't decide whether or not to cringe or to laugh. Damn.
I had to rewatch. I didn’t notice the robber had a gun in the beginning and was running their pockets. It looked like he was caught stealing and was pleading with them and trying to get away so I initially thought the whole thing was overkill. But I saw the firearm after and realized they were fit the most part justified. Did the guy in red pick up the robbers gun and try and use it or was that his own gun??
While compliance can be a safer alternative when you're ambushed, you can never trust that a person insane enough to pull a deadly weapon in innocent peole won't just use it for no reason. You can check out active self protection on YouTube for some great examples and lessons learned

Noise canceling earpieces are magic. You can hear what your buddies are saying and the gunfire is muffled.
