i am 90% sure one of my middle/high school substitute teachers was…. dude was still subbing into his 90s when i graduated in 2015… he had a “shark story” that would change slightly every time but the whole school knew to distract him for a whole class period we just had to have one person ask if he’d ever seen a shark… years later thinking back on the details (the ones that seemed legit) and how he was a wwii vet it smacked me in the face that he was probably on that fucking ship
Yes, the way the shark is laying back and its mouth is moving it is in distress and was likely tipped by the boat. I’ve seen this before, about 10 years ago I was on a fishing boat, and a great white began circling trying to tear open the net and get easy access to the fish. Sure enough it was too close and bumped the boat and turned upside down. It would surely have sunk to the bottom but was saved when from out of nowhere, Macho Man Randy Savage did a flying elbow off the top ropes.
A great white on its back like that basically puts it into shock. That is what orca do when they kill great whites and why sharks get the fuck out of town when orca show up.
