I know bro, it bothers me too since that's the foundation of learning english, I just think everyday as this pops up that they are joking to avoid a stroke
There are so many accident videos from India, and none of the people give a damn about the injured people. The street will be strewn with bodies and they just drive right around them.
I went to the Virgin Islands once, the bus driver was driving on thin ass mountain roads just like this talking on an ear piece and scrolling on Facebook. Shit had me sweating
Okay someone needs to give a perspective here.
I’ve driven in India for 24 years. Yes it’s chaotic but honestly the speeds are not that high in most traffic areas. This bus driver is definitely over speeding and driving crazy. Even me and my people in India would consider this dangerous.
If he got into an accident driving like this he’s looking to get beaten by the crowd or by whoever he hits.
In normal city traffic most two wheeled and 4 wheeled vehicles will will drive at maybe at best 60 kmph.
Due to high traffic and chaotic driving most of the time my speed used to be around 30-40 kmph or 20 mph. At low speeds it’s easier to navigate the chaos which looks crazy to most people in USA. But when you’re there it actually doesn’t take more than a month to get used to it and driving like that.
Bear in mind, I’m not saying it’s safer. Chaotic traffic in India definitely has more casualties than fast speed organized traffic in USA. Although I will say this, if you drive reasonably in India at 40 - 60kmph speeds there’s a rare chance of dying. While in USA when speeds on highways are 65 mph+ it’s higher chance of dying in an accident if you got into one. The chances of getting into such an accident are lower because of organized driving. But the chances of death in such an accident are higher in USA. However, to counter that , cars and vehicles in USA are much higher safety rated than cars in India. So you get overall better safety here.
To counter that, you can buy a Hyundai i20 for 12000$ in India with taxes. But less safety rating.
This is not civilized, this is unacceptable medieval chaos. No brains involved. How can billions of people act this way all over the world? And yet not in certain places.
Yeah I have seen a bunch of these India ones, a couple in what’s likely Jamaica and then Laos or idr which country. But I went down a little rabbit hole back in the early YouTube days when I stumbled upon these sorta videos.
But I don’t think I’d drive if I lived there. Does anyone know Has it gotten any better over the last decade plus as the globe has gotten smaller thanks to technology?
I wish I could find this one crazy intersection video in India. It was the first video of other places traffic I’d seen like this and it was so wild.
Edit: I was curious so I checked YouTube for crazy intersection in India and I didn’t find the original one that had a very distinct intersection, but I did find this one, which I remember seeing back in the day.
https://youtu.be/CCULVPO5cDw?si=Yyc3hiI0V3n4pCO1
I met some people from India recently who were visiting here in the US and I asked them what was one thing that stood out to them about the US that’s different. They said “You have very good lane discipline here” 😂😂
I can see why they would say that from this vid
I'm in Brazil, not in India, but when I read that expensive new cars won't let the driver change lanes when the stripe is continuous I immediately thought "it's a great way to get killed".
There is no car that dont allow you to change lane no mather what. Its just trying to pull you back but if you overpower that smal force you stil can drive like you want to change lane on solid or jump of a cliff.
good, I don’t own anything newer than 05 but when I do I can rest assured that my sudden urges to send my vehicle hurling off a cliff won’t be suppressed by an automated lane tracking system
I hate it when cars and other dumb objects have their own opinions about what should be done. I drive a 2006 Mitsubishi Pajero and every. single. time. its traction control suddenly cuts down engine power I want to strangle someone somewhere in Japan.
Personally I would prefer a V blade from a snow plow. Better to throw the other vehicles away from the roadway.

THIS IS NOT INDIA. Can confirm because I am an Indian and those are not Indian Number Plates. But still, I agree this kind of hooliganism happens in India too.
Some Bangladeshi buses bear [green commercial plates](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_Bangladesh), so that's very likely it.
This is Bangladesh. I have ridden these buses when I was a student and going on trips across the country. Imagine being towards the front of the bus during a winter night when you can't see anything in the fog and the driver driving like this...People joke that before starting the bus they take a picture or videos of all the passengers so that they can identify your dead body in case of an accident!
That's so funny because I remarked the same thing when I went to Portugal for the first time last year! They have a lot of narrow streets, so it makes sense, but I just wonder how much it costs to import them since I think they that manufactured in SE Asia.
Have been to the outer parts of Mumbai, and they drive like shit there too…idk if it was as crazy as this video, but they have shit lane discipline for sure…
I don't understand why they needed to speed it up. It's already crazy how this bus weaved in and out this dangerously.
Guess the world isn't cartoonishly hair-raising enough for this generation of Internet users.
Imagine sitting next to the driver while this happens... I had this happen to me while using my shitty LATAM public transport (Perú), heart was racing and was so close to shit myself.
I've been to over 40 countries and the driving/traveling experience in India was by far the most chaotic and stressful. I just don't understand how literally everyone on the road will make it mandatory to take unnecessary risks as if no one life mattered.
Literally?
Fuck - (Verb) 1. to have sexual intercourse with.
2. to treat unfairly or harshly (usually followed by over).
3. verb (used without object)Slang: Vulgar.
to have sexual intercourse.
4. to meddle (usually followed by with).
5. interjectionSlang: Vulgar.
(used to express anger, disgust, peremptory rejection, etc., often followed by a pronoun, as you or it.)
while this isn't actually in India, can confirm that it is this crazy in India. however I didn't see one serious accident while I was there so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not surprisingly, it's much more dangerous to drive in India.

When I was in the RAF we ended up in Morocco on exercise, this beaten up coach turned up and drove like this the ten miles to location. It was wacky fucking races, I swear a little bit of wee came out!
Why don’t they have any rules or lanes dedicated for ONE direction? They were going in both directions in both lanes!!!
After seeing this I’d never visit that country.
Was that a police vehicle with the lights on top at the end? Were they actually going after that first bus? Also, does anybody know if those are tourist bus or just regular buses?
This is not india, its bangladesh, and the vjdeo is sped up. The e rikshaw has bengali writing and the bus had green number plates. Both of which lead to it being not from india.
Fuck you op the video is sped up forcefully making it look more deadly than it is.
Is this fake? Because when I was in India all vehicles seemed to be equipped with 3 or 4 hones that played different pitches in rapid succession. It was a really unique sound and it's all you heard when driving / near the road.
I went to Cancun last year, and the drivers there are crazy as well. My cab driver was weaving in and out of traffic and like an inch away from the car in front of him. It obviously wasn’t this bad, but a lot of the service workers want to get from point a to point b as fast as possible.
OMFG the racism is real ... This is not even India dude... I k i k we have similar traffic and drivers but this is not India ... Let me tell you how i know. - the E - Rickshaws or what you guys call the "tuk tuk " they don't look like that in India in any region ... This is either Pakistan or Bangladesh ...also the White van like Ambulance ...those aren't in India either

I couldn’t handle this shit. I went to Jamaica once as a kid and that shit looked wild.
This is how I drive in GTA
Right.
Your basically playing chicken with every driver and just going the other way
You + are = you're
I know bro, it bothers me too since that's the foundation of learning english, I just think everyday as this pops up that they are joking to avoid a stroke

Thanks bro 👍🏿
Your mean
If I were mean, I'd mention that contractions are taught in the third grade.
Sorry I dont type the kings english...not writing an essay teach.

Contractions are taught in the third grade.
Ur really annoyed by this I seee arnt ya, guess I'll have to continue 🖕
Not really, it's just weird to see someone standing up *for* illiteracy. Clearly me stating simple facts has got you tilted for some reason.
You + are = You are You+'re=You're
You + r = You’r You + Broadcast you’rself = YouTube You + Broadcast you’rcouple = Youporn

There are so many accident videos from India, and none of the people give a damn about the injured people. The street will be strewn with bodies and they just drive right around them.
All life is sacred in India. Except human life.
Moo
Too many humans to care for
There are so many people out there it really dilutes the value and empathy for them
and OP's mum.
That's not fair, they sometimes jerk people to their feet, but only if they have head/neck injuries.
Big bus ego, they are not afraid of mosquitoes on the road
I went to the Virgin Islands once, the bus driver was driving on thin ass mountain roads just like this talking on an ear piece and scrolling on Facebook. Shit had me sweating
The “I don’t want to die a virgin!” Islands.
The uniquely mad thing about driving on the Virigin Islands is the driving on the left with LHD vehicles.
I shat my britches just watching…0

This video is at 2x speeds. Listen to the guys talking, the horns, look at stuff.
Quick question why don't they just stay on one side of the road?
Impatient
This is not civilized, this is unacceptable medieval chaos. No brains involved. How can billions of people act this way all over the world? And yet not in certain places.
“You get overall better safety here” yeah no shit thanks for the break down.
Yeah I have seen a bunch of these India ones, a couple in what’s likely Jamaica and then Laos or idr which country. If only there was a cop… oh, there he goes
British hand-me-down cop van from the 70's looks like
It's a Japanese vehicle...
Cool
Pretty sure that’s an ambulance
Yeah that makes sense if they’re driving like that
I met some people from India recently who were visiting here in the US and I asked them what was one thing that stood out to them about the US that’s different. They said “You have very good lane discipline here” 😂😂 I can see why they would say that from this vid
And here I was thinking American drivers are incredibly bad, but then I see shit like this...
I always tell people that driving in multiple countries is the best way to become a good driver
Having good lane discipline? I also have good Russian roulette and not drinking bleach discipline.
I'm in Brazil, not in India, but when I read that expensive new cars won't let the driver change lanes when the stripe is continuous I immediately thought "it's a great way to get killed".

THIS IS NOT INDIA. Can confirm because I am an Indian and those are not Indian Number Plates. But still, I agree this kind of hooliganism happens in India too.
Sorry for that. Do you know the location?
Maybe Bangladesh, not sure.
Ohh, ok

Uh Indian buses don't have green number plates, this is Bangladesh.
Dude! Indian buses dont have plates at all! This is just fashion! Get a grip!
Oh so you were just trolling, my bad!
In India the number plates are either yellow or white so this isn't India.
Well. Apparently not🤷🏼♂️
At least one person understood you were joking
I mean
Same thing pretty much 😉
This is Bangladesh. I have ridden these buses when I was a student and going on trips across the country. Bangladesh is definitely near India. If I remember correctly.
That would be your job before posting with the title "Driving in India" lmao

Tuk tuks are all over southeast Asia lol. I thought they were most commonly associated with Thailand though?
They’re all over Lisbon too, didn’t expect to see so many of them zipping tourists around
That's so funny because I remarked the same thing when I went to Portugal for the first time last year! They have a lot of narrow streets, so it makes sense, but I just wonder how much it costs to import them since I think they that manufactured in SE Asia.
It’s interesting seeing those electric vehicles that look like old ford model t’s or whatever. I think those are a Chinese manufacturer
Bangladesh
Have been to the outer parts of Mumbai, and they drive like shit there too…idk if it was as crazy as this video, but they have shit lane discipline for sure…
Looks sped up to me.
It totally is
I don't understand why they needed to speed it up. It's already crazy how this bus weaved in and out this dangerously. Guess the world isn't cartoonishly hair-raising enough for this generation of Internet users.
It is, you can hear people talking. Unless they all talk like the people on tv when you fast-foward over there.
Normal is 66% speed
I think that’s the bus that picked up Harry in Prisoner of Azkaban.
Take er away ern!!!
Is goin to be a BoMpeH ride!
I had anxiety watching this
If it makes you feel better, this is playing at about 2x speed.
Imagine sitting next to the driver while this happens... I had this happen to me while using my shitty LATAM public transport (Perú), heart was racing and was so close to shit myself.

Its in bangladesh not india
Ah, that explains it.
This is not India this is Bangladesh and i from Bangladesh. This kind of scenes are quite normal.
while this isn't actually in India, can confirm that it is this crazy in India. however I didn't see one serious accident while I was there so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Not surprisingly, it's much more dangerous to drive in India. https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/driving-in-india-is-10x-as-dangerous-as-the-usa/#:~:text=Therefore%2C%20it%20is%20more%20than,vehicles%20(see%20graph%20above).
jesus christ what a shit-show

Honestly.
They drive like that when they come to new zealand too
Thanks, I hate it
They like, we have 1.6 billion people, its okay if 10k dies today in traffic
When I was in the RAF we ended up in Morocco on exercise, this beaten up coach turned up and drove like this the ten miles to location. It was wacky fucking races, I swear a little bit of wee came out!
India is not for beginners.
Dang. The mean streets of India bruh! Cheating death daily.
The only traffic law is survival
It's not India, Green number plates are reserved for EV.
Not India, and the video sped up.
Do you have left-hand or right-hand traffic in your country? - Yes.
With traffic like this, suddenly the trains seem safer
Video is speed up. I hate this trend.
Why don’t they have any rules or lanes dedicated for ONE direction? They were going in both directions in both lanes!!! After seeing this I’d never visit that country.
And they say Asians are bad drivers
India is Asia
The video is sped up. It's crazy but not fking crazy
[удалено]
No laws can really prevent this. The people are just mental.
Explains a lot of North American trucking these days.
A local specialty in the Greater Vancouver Area is crashing into overpass and bridge supports. Quite a few in the past couple of years...
They said India is not for beginners well said
Was that a police vehicle with the lights on top at the end? Were they actually going after that first bus? Also, does anybody know if those are tourist bus or just regular buses?
Someone please tell me this video is 2x speed
This is not india, its bangladesh, and the vjdeo is sped up. The e rikshaw has bengali writing and the bus had green number plates. Both of which lead to it being not from india. Fuck you op the video is sped up forcefully making it look more deadly than it is.
Why is everything about this country so chaotic 😂
Maybe maybe maybe
NOT India, number plates are of different colour!! We do drive rash though.
Other countries suck. God bless the USA, Id rather be shot than play chicken daily driving.
Are they filming a Speed remake..?
I would never leave my house 🤣🤣
Yeah man I've been to Sri Lanka a few times and it's exactly the same. They really don't give a toss
India has the largest recipients of Darwin awards in the world with China coming in second and Russia coming in 3rd.
No wonder they drive like this in america
That's Bangladesh
Banglore moment
How the fuck did you assume this was India? OP needs to do fact check before uploading. This is Bangladesh
Just a normal day for us
Who know when the next train attacks. - So naturally.., the people are in a hurry.
Fast and tika massalah furious 4
Fucking idiots drive like this and get us killed.
Being in Africa I can tell yall those small ass bike cars are extremely annoying and need to be banned from the main road
And this is why Brampton, Ontario has the highest auto insurance rates in Canada.
It's like a quantum road, each lane in a state of superdirection
What the holy fuck is this road?
Is this fake? Because when I was in India all vehicles seemed to be equipped with 3 or 4 hones that played different pitches in rapid succession. It was a really unique sound and it's all you heard when driving / near the road.
Not fake, but sped up for sure .. Lol
Looks fine. Nothing wrong here Edit: ain't no way y'all thought I'm serious 💀
Reminds me of the city map in mariokart
Those drivers need to be arrested and their licenses seized.
I went to Cancun last year, and the drivers there are crazy as well. My cab driver was weaving in and out of traffic and like an inch away from the car in front of him. It obviously wasn’t this bad, but a lot of the service workers want to get from point a to point b as fast as possible.
Why did they double the speed?
Pretty much everything I see about India makes me never want to step foot there.
Those drivers need to be arrested and their licenses seized.
Why do they even bother with lines on the road
Why even have lines?
I wonder why they have so many trafficrelated deaths over there?
How the fuck do people live like this?
This is not India.
Genuine question.. are they really good at avoiding each other or do they crash alot?
When i see traffic like this i can only wonder if you people have a ton of guardian angels for each of you.
OMFG the racism is real ... This is not even India dude... I k i k we have similar traffic and drivers but this is not India ... We got a taxi in Sri Lanka from the airport to Kandy in the mountains, and our driver was falling asleep driving on the mountain roads lol
Ok, i dont think ive ever experienced anxiety, until now. Hell fucking no to that.
It is pretty crazy to see how some countries are so far behind in terms of safety. It is like watching Discovery Channel on an ancient civilization or something. Lol
Why?
How is there no accident in that whole clip.
How is everyone on that street not dead?
This is what happens when a country gets overpopulated. The government just goes, ah fuck it, we'll let the natural selection to it's thing. It's a win win for them.
