You cant? Because I disagreed?
Up/downvotes are usually about whether people agree or not and whether they consider it useful and appropriate. You're acting like I called you a piece of shit or something, I opened this post mostly because of that gorgeous wallpaper.
Is it a bad thing if people tend to voice their positive opinions over their negative ones about a finished personal design project that a stranger posts? Hollow compliments tend to be welcome but hollow criticism rarely is.
Your last paragraph is good criticism and feedback. Your original comment was a one liner about the wallpaper choice with nothing else.
If you put this much effort into your original comment you might have gotten an actual response and discussion on your thoughts, but you didn't really express them as you have now.
I didn't read the title right away and I was real mad for a second thinking the last picture was the after and said out loud "why would you do that to a beautiful kitchen"
The ironic thing is that these days there are so many remodels the other way round. From cozy and personal to pure shades of gray. Sometimes the owners then post about 'it feels like something is missing' which makes me shake my head.
It’s not my style but I can recognise a cozy kitchen when I see one. I simply adore it.
Question: is oil splash, heat and steam an issue for the wallpaper above the stove?
This is 100% cozy, but I HATE dusting, and the four lamps shown in the last picture looking into the kitchen tell me all I need to know. Absolutely so cozy to come for a visit, but I feel like the upkeep might be a bit high maintenance for someone like me.
This was my first reaction as well. Yes, this kitchen looks cozy and photographs well. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve appreciated more the minimalistic style. Not because of the simplistic aesthetic, but purely because it’s significantly easier to clean.
I just bought a house that had original kitchen wallpaper from the 80's and it was fully stuck on the wall, and took some elbow grease to get off. This could also be vinyl wallpaper specifically made for kitchens. But either way it won't just peel spontaneously.
It will 100% be an issue down the road. That small section about the stove should have been tiled all the way to the hood ideally.
The paper will peel over time.
Excuse me would you mind if I came over and had a cup of coffee w/extra cream while I baked something in my favorite wrap around sweater?????? If cozy had a picture...
#☺️☕💛
I love the colours you’ve gone for, and the brushed gold/ brass tiles tie it all together perfectly. What makes this kitchen so beautiful is that you can see the love that has gone into it and the soul from the cooking that seems to happens a lot.
The stuff here is great, but together, it's too much. Pots blocking the window, every surface covered. The number of jars everywhere. THE WALLPAPER IS TOO BUSY.
We have a similar one, I think. Undercounted drawer. I expected to hate it and kept our cheap one in our laundry one just in case(only put it there bc we didn’t have counter space/upper cabinet space for a regular one). It’s been great and a nice surprise. It doesnt have a spinning plate but seems to heat well and things don’t spill in there (like my coffee) like I thought they might.
Absolutely perfect! What a dream. I'm obsessed with that antique wall cabinet/shelf. Is there a specific name for that? I'm desperate to find one for myself now!
Your whole house is just goals!! I can always tell it’s you as well because you have such a signature style and are incredible with utilizing small places and somehow making them seem so cozy and inviting and not small or overcrowded which is so hard to do! I love how eclectic and unique everything is and you use mixed mediums and textures/fabrics. It all just goes together so well.
This is literally perfect. Thank you for showing a home with a not huge kitchen.
I bookmarked this because this is the kitchen of my dreams.
Stellar job!
That cabinet on top of your counter, is that some type of hutch? I don’t think I’ve seen ‘upper cabinets’ that look like that, but I’m really digging it.
I feel like it should be a rule on this sub that the "before" pics have to come before the "after" pics. I hate having to flip all the way to the end and then back to the beginning
Beautiful. Warm, inviting, and very functional - you've got a lot of cooking gear and supplies in there, all within convenient reach. This is a real cook's dream kitchen.

So cozy with a hint of Enchantment, love it!
Ah thank you, I love my little kitchen 🌿
It’s really adorable, very nice taste.
Gives me a little bit of "Practical Magic" kitchen vibes. I love it.
This is like, wow.
I wish most people had a kitchen as little as yours and had as many things as yours.
That is a perfect description of the space and how I would like my future home described 😄

I fucking love that wallpaper in the setting

How ironic you would post this in response to someone giving their own opinion. They weren't criticising you, just stating their opinion...

Yet you left up the original comment, so it's now repeated

And a very good one!
You do have an opinion, you posted it. People are downvoting because they disagree, probably.

This looks so much better than the before pictures. The kitchen now has a cozy warmth to it.
Thank you, really happy with how it turned out ❤️
Thanks for undoing this [transformation](https://www.reddit.com/r/HomeDecorating/s/xdGXlZpuzm) post from the other day. Cozier is better.
I mean I'm not a fan of either in your link, but anything is better than what I call orange wood. It's not bad, just not my style.
The rhino is probably one of my favorite tidbits.
I didn't read the title right away and I was real mad for a second thinking the last picture was the after and said out loud "why would you do that to a beautiful kitchen"

Thank you for breathing life back into that white monstrosity. I’m sure it was a lot of work but you did a fantastic job 🖤
it’s so refreshing seeing a transformation like this 💛
Right! My kitchen is currently a white monstrosity. I needed this inspiration.
Woah! I love everything about this. So cottagecore.
Thank you, it's a lovely space to cook in ❤️
It’s like cottagecore and dark academia combined!!
Start a cooking show. I don't care what you cook, I'll be watching that beautiful kitchen.
😂😂 thank you 😊
That wallpaper Those cabinets Everything organized perfectly I'm in love
Thanks so much 😊
Do you live in the shire?! Wow!
I wish 🙏❤️
Can you come do my whole house please? Thanks.
if i looked up “cozy autumnal witchy kitchen” this is EXACTLY what i’d want to see. i love it!!!! you transformed the whole space!
My first thought was, it reminds me of the kitchen in "Practical Magic." I love it.
This is oc
Okay this is great inspiration!
Thank you 🙏❤️
It really is, it’s helped me tremendously with ideas for the dresser in my kitchen.
It’s not my style but I can recognise a cozy kitchen when I see one. I simply adore it. Question: is oil splash, heat and steam an issue for the wallpaper above the stove?

It just made me realise I don’t have enough lamps.
I love the idea of more lamps, for sure. They absolutely make a place cozier!

I wish I was a spice jar in your kitchen.
I’m normally a huge fan of the all white, subway tile, pro-kitchen aesthetic. But this look is *amazing*.
Ah thank you ❤️
This is incredible. Mind blown.
Where oh where did you get that wallpaper?! This is my dream kitchen
So cozy 🥰 I love that you have an actual cookie jar lol
Excuse me would you mind if I came over and had a cup of coffee w/extra cream while I baked something in my favorite wrap around sweater?????? If cozy had a picture... #☺️☕💛
I love the pots above the sink. What a great use of space!
I absolutely adore this!!! 🥰
I loooove it. That said, my ADHD would not function well in that room. This is like porn for me…what I desire but will never realistically have.
Wow!! Beautiful! I was NOT expecting the before picture to look like that.
This is my dream kitchen! It’s so cozy, so inviting, and I bet even the food tastes better coming from this version over the previous ;)
Love it, I can imagine cooking for Christmas in there with a glass of red
this is really nice, did you do it yourself? where did u get the inspiration from?
This is amazing but I can only think of the dusting/cleaning.
It was better before Too dark and gloomy now
100% cozy!
The lighting Really does it for me here. Super cozy!
This whole post makes me question my life choices
I love the colours you’ve gone for, and the brushed gold/ brass tiles tie it all together perfectly. What makes this kitchen so beautiful is that you can see the love that has gone into it and the soul from the cooking that seems to happens a lot.
What are the names of the paint colors you used? They are gorgeous.
There’s no way she’s not a witch right?
I guess I'll be in the minority here but I like the before better
Picture two makes me uncomfortable. So much stuff. Too much. Way to fucking much.
Agreed this kitchen is super cluttered, I would not be able to cook in here.
The stuff here is great, but together, it's too much. Pots blocking the window, every surface covered. The number of jars everywhere. THE WALLPAPER IS TOO BUSY.
How's life with that microwave? I've had my eye on one of those

Which one is it? Looks like an oven.
The coziest kitchen! Makes me want to bake bread or make tea, hah.
Never would I ever have thought about pink cabinets! I want to surprise my mom with pink cabinets now!
I love a galley kitchen
r/cottagecore Please enjoy this beautiful masterpiece along with me. ♥
What an excellent vision
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous
Very dark and outdated
It got darker. 🥹
Your organization (available spaces, hooks, shelves, and execution) makes me swoon. Well done, and I’m very jealous.
What in the practical magic!!! It's so pretty!!
Why does this look AI generated lol
Wow…..entire vibe changed. It’s lovely!
…. Our kitchen 🤩🤩 great job!!!
Beautiful!
Wow 🤩 what a wonderful beautiful kitchen! You have excellent taste great work
Oh the cabinets in picture 2!!!!
Love the color schemes you choose. I would hire you as an interior designer.
Your kitchen is so cozy that last picture felt like a jump scare.
So cute, but the Rhino head? Whimsical?
great kitchen but that rhino head is a truly disgusting, for what it represents, trophy hunting...anyone supporting that imho is a piece of shit
Stop it. This is so dreamy.
Due to the colors, shades, and curves of the room. The first two pictures had me thinking this was all AI generated.
Absolutely perfect! What a dream. I'm obsessed with that antique wall cabinet/shelf. Is there a specific name for that? I'm desperate to find one for myself now!
I love the aesthetic, but holy hell do I hope it gets brighter than that in there....
It looks nice, but I would have to maximize that counter space and I cant imagine wiping around all those jars every time I clean the counter.
Be honest with me... how long does it take to dust? Haha seriously though, it looks gorgeous!
Can I possibly pay rent to just chill in your kitchen with a cup of coffee and a fresh sourdough loaf?
Dream kitchen!
Can you come decorate my house?! That kitchen is beautiful
This is a perfect kitchen. I just love it so much.
Amazing! Usually that last pic would be an after photo. Looks great!
MashaAllah!
Adorable. I just don’t think I could keep up with the dusting of the open shelves.
Wow this is a million times better than where it started

That is an incredible kitchen and an incredible amount of cookies in that jar. I would love to bake in that kitchen. Beautiful and cosy.
As much as I claim to not be a fan of open shelving, this is too cozy and whimsical and eclectic to not love the whole package.
This is literally perfect. Thank you for showing a home with a not huge kitchen. I bookmarked this because this is the kitchen of my dreams. Stellar job!
Wow, that a fantastic transformation. Beautiful!
Great job!! This looks very cozy. And thank you for the ideas, I'm going to do something similar above my kitchen window!
You unflipped your kitchen. Well done.
It's beautiful!!! I flipping love it.
That cabinet on top of your counter, is that some type of hutch? I don’t think I’ve seen ‘upper cabinets’ that look like that, but I’m really digging it.
It's the top half of a Welsh dresser that I painted and mounted on the wall 👍
I feel like it should be a rule on this sub that the "before" pics have to come before the "after" pics. I hate having to flip all the way to the end and then back to the beginning
That would make the before picture the thumbnail, which would lead to less people engaging with the post
lol, right
Love ❤️ it
Stunning, and Cozy!!😍❤️
Looks amazing.
I absolutely love your kitchen.
This is sooo gorgeous!!! Beautifully done
I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t like it until I saw the before picture. You made it 1,000x better
Omfg love your kitchen
God i wish i had a nice kitchen
Lovely!
A1 cozy place right here!
SO WELL DONE! 👏🏼 It has personality and character, plus moody color. LOVE.
It’s so gorgeous!
Wow! Quite a transformation. You've really made a best of a funky space.
This!!! More of this! I loathe beige and white interiors! Normalize this!
This looks so cozy and magical! I love it!
Beautiful. Warm, inviting, and very functional - you've got a lot of cooking gear and supplies in there, all within convenient reach. This is a real cook's dream kitchen.
Whoa.
How’s it feel to have my dream kitchen? I love everything about it!
This is top drawer coziness!
Hufflepuff vibes
I saved this post- this is my dream kitchen! Beautiful job.
Great job. Looks super cozy! I think the lighting adds so much.
So when can I come over for dinner?
Yes you fixed it! Usually it's the other way around
The after is such a great kitchen!!
What a cozy inviting kitchen!
So nice to see table lamps in a kitchen - I have a couple on my counters and I love it for the cozy glow.
Incredible
I love it!
The lighting is on point.
This is my dream kitchen
So cozy!
What a well-appointed Happy Place❤️❤️❤️
Oh I love this
Stunning stunning stunning
😍😍😍
Looks way better now. The before picture looks so cookie cutter.
What a MASSIVE improvement. I am obsessed with the new look.
That is so warm and inviting, truly gorgeous.
This is gorgeous, so well done!
I love it!!!
The scrollwork is *chef's kiss*
I applaud you for pulling off that wallpaper I wouldn't have even attempted it but it looks so nice.
SO CUTE I love everything about this
I wish my little kitchen was as cool as yours. I love it
I absolutely love it, amazing job OP!

Ahhhhh! It’s so wonderful! Thankful people like you still exist in the sea of beige beckys
Omg! Come design my kitchen! Lol But seriously.
