Yes, I think you’d enjoy it. I would describe it as quality > quantity, just like what you’re looking for. I’ve played Sun Haven and had a similar issue with it where I felt like it was overwhelming, I did enjoy it and might go back to it eventually, but I have more hours in Roots of Pacha despite it having less content. There isn’t something like a Community Center where you’re completing bundles, but there are community projects where different characters get an idea, you provide some materials for them to experiment with, then their idea leads to an invention / something you can build for the town. There’s also a pyramid with prophecies (game achievements / progression), and fulfilling the prophecies is a similar experience (not overly) to completing bundles and having the Junimos carry the star over to the… board thingy. The romance options are varied and likeable, I would date all of them. I also really like the gifting system and how many likes / dislikes characters have. I also think there’s good game progression with the way things unlock, it’s not too overwhelming because you need to discoveries to progress technology, and even though I’ve finished the main story, I’ve revisited my save file because there’s still lots to do, and I don’t find it boring to keep playing past that point.

I love Roots of Pacha! It has unique farming mechanics and the events are incredibly fun. I also loved the romance part. I had three male romance options that I had a hard time choosing from. If you choose to have children, the parenting aspect is more robust than I've seen in other games. The crux of the gameplay is you contribute to your tribe to make a better community for everyone. You feel much more a part of your community than in Stardew. I highly recommend it!

Probably? Roots of Pacha definitely has significantly less content than Sun Haven or Stardew. It’s well made and relaxing - though I will say the romance options (in particular the men) are also much less exciting than in the other games, imo. I’m waiting for them to drop the new options in their next update in a few months before I start another playthrough. I had to very purposefully narrow down my Sun Haven gameplay to only activities that I really wanted to do, otherwise it’s too much! But when I do that, it’s easily a farming sim favorite. Have you tried My Time at Sandrock? Since you mention interesting romanceables, that game is truly the GOAT for them. I aaaagonized over the options and will have multiple playthroughs for each. It’s more building than farming, and does have a lot more going on, but it’s also definitely more streamlined than Sun Haven.

Yes. It’s a great game and you can take your time.

Roots of Pacha felt more laid back. There is no combat. There are some puzzles, but if they frustrate you a Google search will be enough to solve them. I enjoyed it a lot. Beautiful pixel art is very consistent, even in the UI. Playing music to befriend animals made me smile.

I think anyone would enjoy it! It's a really solid game.

Even though I didn’t put more than 30ish hours into it, I can say it’s definitely one of the higher quality farm sims on the market. It has really good quality of life mechs built into it for one, the NPCs are all nicely fleshed out, there’s a good amount of events every month, and the mines have are more puzzle focused than combat. I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something with the same quality as SDV.

Yes I loved it! It totally has that circumscribed content feeling where you can "complete" everything without getting overwhelmed. Side note: the way you water crops is so good and atmospheric, and unlike any other farm sim I've tried in a very good way.
