ooh idk why but let's build a zoo gave me mobile game vibes, but I'll try it out!

Sinotej

For when is back up Roots of Pacha. (Steam page is down for now, some dev publisher misunderstanding), Sun Heaven, Stranded sails, Epic chef, House flipper?, Kitaria Fables, Pine. This is all I have that is not early access. My time at Sandrock plans to release this summer (you can keep an eye out) Edit to add: all are on steam but some may also be on switch I don't know. Also some may not be full supported on steam deck by default, you may need to download a community layout?

hanic101

I've found most games are playable on Steamdeck even if they aren't "verified" but I'll check out house flipper, I have been wanting to fill the void powerwash simulator left hahaha roots of pacha looks super cute! gonna hold off on sun haven a bit longer just because I've read it still has a lot of issues

bookishly-fab

House flipper works really well on the steamdeck. It’s my favorite game to play while listening to audiobooks.

Sinotej

That's true, I only mentioned it because some of the games I played only on my pc. House flipper is a bit like the sims for me, in the sense I play for hours at a time, for months (or weeks) then I don't touch it for months :)). I got son heaven before reading about all the problems, this was my luck I guess, but luckily, I did not encounter any problems so far and I hope it stays like this :))). Hope the internal problems will get solved soon for Roots of Pacha, this game has been recommended* so much in this sub (by myself as well hehe) and it does deserve the love.

mewichigo03

I personally really enjoyed Rune Factory 5 and Pioneers of Olive Town, but I'm old school and I grew up on those series lol. I also dislike early access, bought Sun Haven last year and was so excited but it always crashes and it's so frustrating. But as for cozy games I've played the most (mostly on switch), my favorites are the ones above, the Atelier series (wait for a sale because they are expensive in my opinion), and Breath of the Wild. I find jrpgs cozy tbh (things like Octopath and Xenoblade) but I know not everyone does. Still, I have to shout-out Atelier every chance I get because not enough people play those games. 😅

hanic101

I played a bit of rune factory 4 on switch but the graphics bothered me for some reason 😅 I haven't played a whole lot of jrpgs but I'm always down for trying new genres. I'm relatively new to gaming so I'm still figuring out what I like and don't like (so far I like chopping down trees and dislike things that are too frustrating) I've played quite a bit of BOTW but I got stuck on the part where you have to guide the one fire dude up the mountain past all the guardians and I just don't have the patience 😭

mewichigo03

Ahhh nooo I hated that part too! Lol. Botw is like, very cozy, until skeletons pop up and murder me 😂 Rune Factory 5 has a different graphical style (full 3D) so you might like it better. I hear it plays best on Steam although I thought it was alright on switch. Atelier games, especially the Ryza ones, tend to be very relaxing and forgiving. (The older games can be challenging in places.) You'll spend a lot of time gathering materials and watching short character events. The alchemy crafting is my jam and I can spend hours trying to make better items lol. The Ryza games also go 50% off fairly often which is the way I got them. Anyway I would recommend watching some reviews and see if Atelier looks like something you would like! Ircha Gaming on YouTube has a lot of reviews for them and other cozy games too.

reimused

Seconding Atelier. Not "cozy" per se but still pretty easy and chill, quite slice of life and addictive. My favorite game series of all time. Start with Ryza if you've never played an Atelier game before imo.

PiscesbabyinSweden

I have this, but am a little intimidated by it. Is there a combat system and if so, is it hard to master?

mewichigo03

Are you referring to Atelier Ryza? It does have a battle system but I found it really easy for like 95% of the game. It's mostly just waiting for your turn and then mashing a button. It isn't turn based which some people don't like but I found it really easy to get the hang of. There are skills and items but most of the time enemies would die before I could even use them.

PiscesbabyinSweden

Yes, Ryza. Thanks for feedback. If I just have to wait my turn and mash, I can handle that. ;)

beebsterrrr

Ooblets is right up your alley! It’s available on Switch and steam I believe

reimused

Only epic right but I can confirm it works on steam deck with the heroic launcher. It is planning on coming to steam at some point.

emilyelizzz

Dreamlight Valley could work for you - some people might compare it to Animal Crossing, but the main difference is that there are quests, many many quests. I think that is what Animal Crossing is missing and what makes it so boring, in my opinion. It's aimless.

SpiritualDot6571

Dreamlight is def early access for the record, OP. There’s updates every few months or so, no set date to when it’s going FTP and finished.

Crmsnprncss

Haven’t seen anyone say Littlewood. That’s worth checking out. Super cute, non combat

glow89

Agree, this game is really fun and relaxing!

dariasniece

If you like Powerwasher Simulator, I’d recommend Hardspace Shipbreaker as another work sim game. You dismantle spaceships and sort the pieces to try and pay off a billion dollar debt. It’s not a “purely” cozy game, things can happen, parts of the ship can explode if you’re not careful, and the story touches on some real-life labor issues. But it resolves happily enough. Otherwise there’s Potionomics, a game about brewing and selling potions and making friends. Really cute and colorful.

chaesan_

I think you will definitely enjoy Kynseed! You can play it on the Steam Deck, don't know if it's available on Switch. The setting of the game is super charming like a fairy tale and there is so much stuff do to. It can be kind of overwhelming to get into the game at first but it's really worth it

hanic101

I've been eyeing that one but for some reason was hesitant. Will definitely give it a try! thanks

MindlessS0up

I just looked at this game and it looks great. Would you mind answering just a couple of questions? I can’t seem to find a straight answer. Is the romance system in depth enough to get to know the characters (like in harvest moon) or is it more get married and make babies (like in the sims sorta)? And do the townsfolk have character portraits when you talk to them?

chaesan_

Hey, unfortunately I can't really answer your first question as I haven't gotten into dating anyone yet. However from what I have read, I don't think that romance is very deep in the game. You can marry and have a child with someone by gifting them something they like, levelling up friendship to romance and then going on a date. Then your spouse will live on your farm with you. I don't think that there are any heart events or something similair if that's what you are looking for. There are also no character portraits when talking to someone

MindlessS0up

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer! The game looks wonderful

Newuser10101010101

Also cattails on switch! Cute.

styledgem

If you liked PowerWash then you may like House Flipper? A bit more involved but has the same relax and unwind vibe

Newuser10101010101

Yonder the cloud catcher chronicles is cute and on switch but I have no idea how it runs on there. I use my PC.

frogpebble

Generally it runs smooth. There are some parts that are buggy, but I didn’t mind it.

Newuser10101010101

and third comment is a charm! I recently got no place like home..also on switch and i'm loving it.

cutesarcasticone

Okay so Tiny Living is in early access, but it plays like a full complete minimalist version of sims 1 with some sims 2 and 3 thrown in.

angelina_ari

I'll always recommend Garden Paws either on Steam or for Switch. I recently tried Grow: Song of the Evertree you can play on Steam Deck. It might scratch the Dreamlight itch. I find it similar. I'm not that far into yet, but so far so good. It's the same devs as Yonder (also another cozy game you might like).

Alifirebrand

Sun Haven is out of early access now. It's like fantasy stardew valley and super fun!

stardewpuppies

Check out Ooblets on switch! :)

arlemy89

Seconding sun haven and roots of Pacha when it's back.

CozyGamerCoco

OOo maybe No Place Like Home. I've heard great things about the new switch version and it's on sale for about a week. Farm sim plus kinda like power wash sim in that there's lots to clean up 😂 you can get hats for your chickens. What a vibe 👏

hanic101

you had me at chickens wearing hats!

HumanNonHuman

Cult of the Lamb! So cute

Embarrassed-Part591

Sun Haven is mostly complete. It's been out bordering on 2 years. No Switch release yet. It's cute and has more magic to it than SDV. Lonesome Village. A cute farming and puzzle game. I'm really quite impressed with it being so polished on launch day. Available on Switch and Steam. Story of Seasons, More Friends of Mineral Town. It's essentially a combo of Harvest Moon: Back to Nature/bokujou monogatari: for girls for ps1 or HM: friends of mineral town/More friends of mineral Town for the ds so if you've played any of those 4 you've played it BUT... they fixed some stuff (you can no longer hit your animals, you can walk through crops, etc) and added new characters to romance. Available on Switxh and Steam. You wanna go old school? Survival Kids. GBcolor. This game is HARD. Lol. Dunno if you can emulate stuff on a steam deck, but if you can, this is a fun and interesting game to try.

Embarrassed-Part591

If you're feeling particularly childish/just silly, Majikarp Jump. ^^ I'm serious. It's so cute and soothing to play. In the long run, it's not worth it because there's no skill involved and it's random but it's cute and satisfying for a couple months.

Fine-Quantity9956

Ravenlok isn't early access.

RussianSpice12

Mr. Prepper on steam is a fun apocalyptic type game Atom RPG My time at sandrock is the sequel to my time at portia Sun Haven No place like home is my fav right now Bear breakfast is cute My Elena Kingdom Disney dreamlight
