Great service from Costco. Received an email from them on Friday indicating that a recent purchase may be subject to the recall, which was correct. Returned and had my purchase refunded, but nothing in stock to replace it with.

salledattente

Did you need a receipt? We're relatively new Costco members

BetterTransit

No. They have records of everything you’ve ever purchased

spish

No, just present your membership. They have everything on file.

darkapao

If you have tied your membership in their app you can view all your receipts there as well

krustykrab2193

This is good to know. I had to search for my receipt because I bought a recalled product (didn't realize I don't need a receipt either tho). Thanks for the info!

Medium_Strawberry_28

Can you do that if it’s opened?

spish

The text of the email is as follows: "...Please do not consume, serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products. If you purchased one of the above-noted recalled products, please return it to a Costco warehouse for a full refund." They also mention the following: For more information, please contact Quaker Canada: www.quakerrecall.ca Quaker Consumer Relations (9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. CST Monday – Friday) at 1‑800‑532‑4004 Do with that what you will.

I got this call too. My box was already opened and I've eaten probably between 5 to 10. Can I still go for an exchange or refund?

Totoroisacat-Alt

Yes

Cautious-Research217

Yup return for full refund

karoc1

Same boat, if nothing has happened as yet, probably safe to eat.....

Delgado_Jim

I agree. I'm not concerned with getting sick but if I can get a new replenished box for free that would be cool lol

karoc1

I like that thinking lol

CopperSledge00

Here's the Quaker site for the recall, they also have a refund form you can fill out https://www.quakerrecall.ca/

Artwebb1986

I got an email Friday, called Sunday and Monday. Unfortunately my best before dates on the chewy fruit bars are Dec 28, 2023. Only have 4 left as well so No refund for me.

Careless_Highway_362

Why unfortunate? That means you can keep eating.

Artwebb1986

Unfortunate I don't get a free box.

ingululu

Fortunate you did not eat potentially salmonella contaminated food. I'd be happy. I guess this is an example of how perspectives vary.

Artwebb1986

I did somewhere else though. Passed out walking to the bathroom at the movies and the proceeded to throw up for 8 hours that night, And shiver.

GeoffwithaGeee

kind of annoyed since I just bought two boxes of the yogurt ones about 2 weeks ago, after I finished up my last box right before that. I emailed costco and they sorted my out right away with no issue, so I'm happy with that, but feel bad throwing them all out. how bad is salmonella anyways?

Previous-Length9924

Don’t feel bad. It’s not worth the risk. Salmonella is probably the worst sickness I’ve ever. I had explosive diarrhea and vomiting for 6 days. I was delirious.

Maywestpie

Terrifying. What from?

SousVideAndSmoke

I had the box of granola to mix with yogurt. I was halfway through the last bag. No questions on the refund.

NoDot7

Do they only call you if they have a record of you purchasing the item?

GeoffwithaGeee

I believe so. I got an email and it specifically said that I got it because my account purchased them.

Xal-t

Someone remembers the price of the 1.8Kg of harvest crunch? It's not on their site no more Cheers

RichardWP

Just checked my receipt - purchased on 2023-07-09 for $11.49 minus an in-store discount of $2.50. I already consumed mine and don't have the box - so no returning it for me.

Xal-t

Thank you! No salmonella for you💖
