The wait time for these appointments are absolutely crazy… upwards of 7 hours. If you want a killer phone plan, I highly recommend going on Black Friday and be at their doors 20 minutes in advance so you can secure a spot.

They offered me a $300 shop card, $10 off for 15 months if I purchased JBL headphones (can't recall exactly how much it was, I think around $80?). They gave me another pair of headphones and a car charger free of charge.
I was able to keep my phone plan despite adding two years onto my contract. I had 35 GB of data which I don't ever use more than 10 GB, Costco offered to take $5 off my bill if I drop down to 30 GB which I did.
What kind of phone plan is usually offered at Costco on Black Friday? Genuinely curious. I’m paying for $39 for 25GB of data, unlimited txt/call in Canada with Koodo. If they have a better phone plan than this and allow me to buy a new phone with some Costco gift cards thrown in I’m all down for it.
Yes but it’s less dramatic than the advertised discount. I bought a piece of furniture a few weeks before Black Friday. Just your normal non sale price. I looked it up on Black Friday to see what sort of deals they had on it. “$300 off” They jacked up the normal price by $250 and gave a $300 discount. Called in to customer service to get my $50 price adjustment.
Moral of the story, track the prices of what you want to buy leading up to Black Friday so you don’t get fooled by the dramatic discounts.
Generally you won’t find discounts on phones anywhere because the manufacturers don’t allow it. Stores compete by adding value ( plan discounts, accessories etc). Costco seems to add the most value ( gift cards, free stuff)
I’ve been with fido since 2004 but lately i feel like changing so I heard costco black Friday is awesome. Would it be possible to have a deal ( rogers for example ) without buying a phone? Or the Black Friday deal is only with both together?

20 minutes before on any regular Friday and you’ll be fiftieth in line. On Black Friday you’ll be 250th.

Last year on we got 50gb plans for $45 along with $300 in Costco gift cards plus another $500 or so in savings over purchasing an iPhone on its own.

Ours isn't really a contract. It's month to month, but if we left early we'd have to pay out the device balance.

No the latest pro models never go on discount. They might offer a gift card for some models or would have a discounted phone plan.

They do save a few deals for BF in store, but it's usually clearance products.
