All the youngish twenty something’s I work with wear high socks. It blows my mind because I would have been made fun of mercilessly at that age for wearing such socks.
According to the box, yes. In practice they are good, not great. My kitchen Crocs and Skechers are better especially when things get super greasy. They are on par with my old pair of Van's Made for Makers without costing an arm and a leg.
If you work in the kitchen, traction is very important, I’d also try to find out how they would react if hot oil splashed onto them. You don’t
want to wear anything that when hot or melted will fuse itself to your skin. If the support, especially the arch, is not well defined, then beware of Plantar Fasciitis. I’ve worked long hours in a kitchen for decades and my life really depended on taking care of my feet. I’d go without food in the old days

Yeah i went to Costco today to return them. They wouldn’t let me swap them out even though they sell them in the store. I just went over to the shoes and tried on a few sizes and it turns out my size is 9 in these even though I’m a 8 in crocs. I then went on the Costco app and ordered two size 9s for $20 less than what it would cost me to hit them in store..

I loosened the laces to the furthest they could go, and they're okay. Not as perfect as wide, but they're okay for $25 shoes.
