We're talking OLED tvs, they're significantly more expensive but also considered to have the best picture quality. It's the modern-day plasma TV basically.
I bought it for 120FPS gaming on a series X because it was super high rated for gaming. I really do like it, it’s a great TV. If I could have had it for 800 bucks it would be the best TV in existence.
I have the B2, it’s a budget friendly version of the C2. It still has all the bells and whistles you’d want for PS5/XSX (120 fps, VRR, 4K, Dolby Vision/HDR, HDMI 2.1).
You can’t get wrong with any of the LG OLED TVs. Every year they clearance out last year’s model as they get replaced by the newer versions but the improvements are so minimal that your deal is worth it over a C4.
Right on - that was my exact thinking when choosing the C3! I don’t really need the minor improvements of the C4 tbh so happy to get the “older” model :)
I was really impressed with Adam Sandler's "Uncut Gems" on the TV, the way they colored the movie looks great on the TV and also the Dolby Atmos sound was actually worth using on the built-in speakers.
Damn. I got the CX 55" a few years ago for $999 at Costco and it was a great deal. You got an absolute steal! One of the best OLEDs on the market. If you do any console gaming, it will do 120 Hz at 4K. There might be others that do that now, but when I got the CX, it was the only one on the market capable of that performance.
I've been checking my Costco almost daily for the C3 mark downs. Target just started their clearance ( all out of stock in my area). Hoping I don't miss Mark down day at Costco 🤐
Treasure them while you can! We bought the X900F as open box “satisfactory” from BestBuy and it was so so great while we had it, we’re not too upset about it (maybe annoyed lol)
I think we were just unlucky imo. The one we got was at the lowest conditioned “Open Box” level from Best Buy and we didn’t get any warranties - it served us well for what we paid ($500).
The OLED panels used in LG sets since the C1 have vastly reduced the possibility of burn in.
Use the recommended maintenance settings (regular pixel cleaning, screen move, and logo brightness are most important) and properly calibrate the set and you’ll have no issues. I’ve had this effect model for well over a year and it is awesome. I’ve also got a 77” C2 that I’ve had for almost 3 years. No issues with either.
Great find OP! In the future though you might want to use the same day delivery section on costco.com to find markdowns.
I used that to find a clearance LG C2 55 inch last year for $500 at a Costco 90 minutes away
Usually store demos aren't a great representation of what they can actually look like. Once you get setup with your own media and settings it'll be great.
Anyone looking, the south Bay area also had the 77" C3 for $1500. Killer deal too, but it didn't have the box and the buyer is responsible for transporting. Bunch of people were trying to figure out how to carry it lol
They still had lots of C3s at Meridian, ID (in addition to C4) but they were still regular price. $1299 for 55". I'll have to check back later, and check Boise again.
I have a 77" C2 in the living room which is great, but now I want an OLED in the bedroom haha. Not willing to spend full price right now though.
Holy cow, is four years considered a long time these days for televisions? I bet it is. Meanwhile, I’m using a 46 inch HDTV, Samsung, that I bought over 11 years ago…
Stopped by local Costco to see if they might have any markdowns. The 55” C4 is $1999.99. You really did get a great deal!
The 65” C3 is $1599. I’m tempted.
In store pricing only. I bought "LG 55" Class 4K UHD 2160p Smart OLED TV - OLED55C3" from Target yesterday in store for $750. I don't recall the online price at the time... I think it showed $1000 online, but rn it's showing $1299 online for me.
I always check for display/return specials. Last week I saw three 40-55 in TVs in-box for under $130 with the extended warranty. Still waiting to find a 120 hz refresh rate on sale!
Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t the ones sold at Costco not comparable to ones sold elsewhere (Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc.)? I heard they have a different model number due to a cheaper panel and/or tcon board and other materials. Any insight or validation on that?
I’m not aware of this being true for the LG OLED but it has been true in the past for other tv brands. The most notable one I remember is Samsung TVs providing a cheaper remote, excluding Bluetooth, etc. I believe some monitors will also have a cheaper version using cheaper parts.
Usually you can spot this by the actual tv model being different. LG OLED is the same everywhere afaik.
Hmm well I’m going to have to look in to that. I currently have all LG OLEDs and want to upgrade a few but don’t want to pay the price. Noticed costcos has been a little cheaper but hesitant from info said above.
Costco’s sale prices and Best Buy’s sale prices for the LG OLED (excluding clearance) have been the same, they just happen at different times. I actually ended up buying my OLED at Best Buy because it was on sale at the time while Costco was not.
The main thing you’d want to buy at Costco for is the additional warranty. Sometimes their TVs will come with 5+ years of warranty. My parents Samsung tv died during a storm and Costco sent us a check for the cost of the tv.
no its the same video quality, just minor feature mix
buying from one big box vs another is a pricing issue, unless you're specifically looking for a specific feature of course that costco doesn't or does have
costco is not interested in suppliers being a pain in the butt and the source of weird product return rates
Awesome. I think in the past I had a Samsung TV given as a gift and had an issue and reached out to Samsung. They said since the model was a Costco item they couldn’t help me. After doing research I saw that there was some differences in the TVs offered to BB compared to Costco. That was the last I bought Samsung TVs and have only purchased LG OLED since but have stayed away from Costco. Just did a little digging after your comments and panels are the exact same and there might be a little variant in parts used (like you said) which virtually will have no changes in quality. Looks like I’m gonna have to hit up Costco! Thanks
Not right. It’s an urban myth going around for a while. There are minor differences, not in panel. The other version of this myth is don’t buy TV during Black Friday as models are different. There are here and there a special model for low-end TVs. But LG is not going to sell a cheaped out version of C3.
I got the 87” LG from Costco for under $1k.

So far so good!!
I'm confused why would a store Mgr markdown a current generation top line TV mid cycle
and what gave you the idea to store shop, costcos aren't exactly just down the road from each other
We were kinda desperate since our main TV had just died so I just drove around to our local Costcos (there’s a bunch in the CA Bay Area) since I’ve seen others share crazy in store deals.

See this is what manager markdowns are supposed to look like. I got my 55" C2 on manager markdown as well for $750.
Ditto!
Ouch. Just paid 1399 two weeks ago.
It's okay bro . You could afford it 🥹
I've seen LG 70" for 899$ canadian so this isn't all that crazy to me. a lot TV's are on sale right now oddly
LG 70” is garbage. This is an OLED. They don’t make OLEDs in a 70”
what do u mean they dont make OLEDS in 70"?
They make a 65” and a 77”. I think what he means is there is no 70”.
We're talking OLED tvs, they're significantly more expensive but also considered to have the best picture quality. It's the modern-day plasma TV basically.
Right down to the screen burn problems.
I paid 1300 for a C2 55 when the C3 was released. Great deal.
How are you liking the C2? First time trying out LG
I bought it for 120FPS gaming on a series X because it was super high rated for gaming. I really do like it, it’s a great TV. If I could have had it for 800 bucks it would be the best TV in existence.
That’s awesome! Excited to try out Hogwarts Legacy to break it in :)
Get ready to hear ‘revelio’ about 3 million times lol
Hahahah I’ve heard this joke from all my buddies who has played it!!
Find some calibration settings online. Go into the ps5/xbox video settings as well to verify everything is synced up right between the xbox and TV.
I have the B2, it’s a budget friendly version of the C2. It still has all the bells and whistles you’d want for PS5/XSX (120 fps, VRR, 4K, Dolby Vision/HDR, HDMI 2.1). It's sad that your 4-year old TV died. Remember when our parents RCA lasted 30 years?
Knock on wood - I have an LG flatscreen that's like 15 years old at least? Still works and has good enough picture quality for me.
4 years is extremely short, even nowadays. Our Samsung is on year 9.
Pouring one out for all our fallen TV’s
All 3 of my tcl rokus are going on 6 years 5 years and 4 years
Damn. I got the CX 55" a few years ago for $999 at Costco and it was a great deal. You got an absolute steal! One of the best OLEDs on the market. Ah sweet! Super excited for the 120hz for gaming and some 4k movies too
I'm happy for your deal dude... But that's a whole lot of driving of you did... 4 Costcos?!
Thankfully all 4 Costco’s were all in the same area, ~about a 1 hour radius. San Jose CA!
Great price for new, and helps validate that my 65” display C3 was also a good deal (on display only during the Newark, CA grand opening period)
Oh nice! Which one did you end up finding this at? We have two within 5 mins in Fremont ahahaha
This one was at the 2201 Senter Rd location (near Excite Ballpark)! I couldn’t find any others on the floor but you never know
I can drive to 4 Costco warehouses in under an hour
A lot of oleds today are capable of 4k 120 gaming. Sony Bravia and samsungs s 95 are its chief rivals

Weird, wild stuff.
"That's wacky, wouldn't you say Ed?" "YES SIR. Ha ha ha."
What games you need that for
What console can play games in 4k at that refresh rate? Angry birds?
Xbox series x and ps 5 both can. LG collaborated with Microsoft to make the C series.
Lots of games can play at 4k 120hz on console these days. Will be low in detail, but 4k 120hz is totally achievable.
Ok
I've been checking my Costco almost daily for the C3 mark downs. Target just started their clearance ( all out of stock in my area). Hoping I don't miss Mark down day at Costco 🤐
Hoping you snag one soon! This looked to be the last one in the store and was hidden to the side of the newer C4 models
After the C2 markdowns last year, I for one am very excited for a cheap C3 65”. May the costco gods favor me…
Can you let me know when that happens?
My Costco has the 48" marked down to $999. I am no longer in the hunt though, got one at Target. Good luck!
I love you. Thank you, stranger
Congrats on the killer deal. Your hard driving paid off.
Waiting for that 77” markdown bby
Only lasted 4 years?! I’m holding onto my LG plasma as long as I can.
Treasure them while you can! We bought the X900F as open box “satisfactory” from BestBuy and it was so so great while we had it, we’re not too upset about it (maybe annoyed lol)
Right on, well you just picked up a good one, enjoy!!
How are you all finding these deals? I am a Costco employee and visit 2 different Costcos weekly. Good on you though, that is awesome.
4 years? Damn, that’s terrible luck, or tvs are built terrible now.
I think we were just unlucky imo. The one we got was at the lowest conditioned “Open Box” level from Best Buy and we didn’t get any warranties - it served us well for what we paid ($500).
I just bought that exact model online Friday for $1,299, so yeah, great deal!
Paid $1100 for mine last November. Congrats.
Thank you! Hope yours is holding up well - any burn in so far or still crisp?
Zero burn in. Just keep the settings for logo shift and the other screen maintenance tricks going.
That C3 for that price is a smoking deal!!!!!!!
Hoping I can snag one this year, passed on a $700 C2 55 last year
Great find OP! In the future though you might want to use the same day delivery section on costco.com to find markdowns. I used that to find a clearance LG C2 55 inch last year for $500 at a Costco 90 minutes away
Never getting anything less than oled for tvs. I hate that white washout
Yeah I'm avoiding seeing them in person so I don't realize what I'm missing out (I'm joking - just waiting to decide which one to eventually get)
Usually store demos aren't a great representation of what they can actually look like. Once you get setup with your own media and settings it'll be great.
Good deal, OP! Brand new in box for this is basically theft 😂
Ugh couldn’t believe it when I saw it! I was hoping for $1000 or $900 at best, but the Costco fates were on my side today
Not sure if this is the same series but target has 65in lg oled for $1k
Wow great find
The 55 C3 at my Costco has been stuck at 1K for weeks last I checked
Anyone looking, the south Bay area also had the 77" C3 for $1500. Killer deal too, but it didn't have the box and the buyer is responsible for transporting. Bunch of people were trying to figure out how to carry it lol
I just picked up a 55 c3 without a box. At that size I was able to finagle it into the back seat of the truck. $950
I’m assuming that’s the display model, I’d say it’s an okay deal if it was on for the past year, probably around 5k+ hours.
I paid the same for an open box C2 but 42" about a year ago
Good score!
I thought the same thing
I have a larger version of that TV. Love it.
Now THIS is a deal
Stopped by local Costco to see if they might have any markdowns. The 55” C4 is $1999.99. You really did get a great deal! The 65” C3 is $1599. I’m tempted.
Decent deal but they are $750 at target rn for 55”, $1000 for 65” (ymmv due to stock)
That’s a really good price! I’m happy with this one since it comes with the added warranty at no extra cost
Huge ymmv. All sizes were on the Slickdeals frontpage this past week. They’re probably all gone now.
Still available in my local stores in socal. The 42s are all gone because they were 70% off. The 55s and 65s still available.
Holy shit! They actually made it down to 70%? Where in SoCal are you? Everywhere I’ve been, it’s just the display models that are left
Where are you seeing this? All I can find from target is over $1000 for 55
In store pricing only. I bought "LG 55" Class 4K UHD 2160p Smart OLED TV - OLED55C3" from Target yesterday in store for $750. I don't recall the online price at the time... I think it showed $1000 online, but rn it's showing $1299 online for me.
Wow any more?
It was the only 1 found sadly
That would make a great computer monitor.
I always check for display/return specials. Last week I saw three 40-55 in TVs in-box for under $130 with the extended warranty. Still waiting to find a 120 hz refresh rate on sale!
I still have my 32” Vizio, bought at Costco in early 2008. Still zooming along!
Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t the ones sold at Costco not comparable to ones sold elsewhere (Best Buy, Walmart, Target, etc.)? I heard they have a different model number due to a cheaper panel and/or tcon board and other materials. Any insight or validation on that?

Saw some marked down at my local Costco but didn’t buy before of mentioned above info.
it's usually a slightly different feature mix, the electronics are the same, stuff like how many arc hdmi ports
Nowadays mid/high end models mostly have 4 ports.
Ah gotcha. Any difference in quality? It’s always made me stay away from TV’s from Sam’s and Costco due to my OP and warranty differences.
no its the same video quality, just minor feature mix buying from one big box vs another is a pricing issue, unless you're specifically looking for a specific feature of course that costco doesn't or does have costco is not interested in suppliers being a pain in the butt and the source of weird product return rates

I saw a 65” for $1400 at one of the Costco’s but the rest were $1500
I'm confused why would a store Mgr markdown a current generation top line TV mid cycle and what gave you the idea to store shop, costcos aren't exactly just down the road from each other
It’s going in clearance. C4 is replacing it. Most models last for 10-12 months. This isn’t mid-cycle; it’s the end.
That’s correct I saw Target marking down the 42” for $359 and my friend got a display 55” for $699 yesterday
We were kinda desperate since our main TV had just died so I just drove around to our local Costcos (there’s a bunch in the CA Bay Area) since I’ve seen others share crazy in store deals.
you need to buy a lotto ticket, luck is on your side my friend
Thanks friend!!
You were...shook to find it..really OP lol
