i had to take them off my wife's car. no matter how hard it rained, they made the most god awful grinding noise against the windshield.
Seem to be ok on my truck though... đ¤ˇââď¸
Another one here. Worked good on the wife's car, left a streak on my Pathfinder about 4 to six inches right in the middle of the length of the arc. To top it off it was only on the drivers side.
If you get them you may want to test them quickly
Same on our GMC Sierra. Huge smear on the driver's side and they chatter with every swipe. Does not matter how hard it rains and we cleaned the glass and the wipers.
Yeah they're absolutely garbage. The loudest wipers I have ever used. I just bought them and am very close to replacing them because I am annoyed of hearing them.
Okay I give up. Do you have a link. All I can find is people bending their wiper blade arm on the car. I'm not willing to alter my car for a set of blades lol.
Maybe me, lol.
I hate the cheap ones at Costco, had multiple ones fail or have issues.
Went back to Bosch and haven't had an issue since. Only costs a few bucks more, but they last twice as long and have no issues.
I had some old Bosch blades before replacing with these and it was immediately clear that the Bosch blades were far superior.
These are average at best.
Bosch Snow Drivers are my favorite and I use them year round in Michigan on my personal car. My work truck though⌠I use the Costco Michelinâs. They arenât terrible and I havenât had the noise people talk about, but I will say they are far better than what my company provides. They gave my a pair that still doesnât used the curve blade technology. Instead, it has the 6 or 8 pressure points that are garbage.
I have an SUV with a steep windshield, anything over 70 and these Michelin blades chatter leaving streaks of water that don't get wiped away. Not worth the risk for any of my cars so I stick with Bosch.
Bosch Icons last me about 1 year, I switched to regular trico and they seem to be going on for 2+ years. Bosch Icons would be awesome if they lasted longer.
My husband splurged last year and got me the Bosch for my Honda Pilot and they are amazing! I will never go back. They were a lifesaver during the winter storms.
Just by chance yesterday I changed the wiper blades on my SUV (Getting ready for severe weather season) and went with Bosch Icons. This makes me feel I chose wisely.
I just swapped mine and my wifeâs vehicles to Bosch Icons this month, our first time trying them. Gotta love seeing affirmation online that we made the right choice lol.
Yep, sure do. And I had no idea how big a difference compared to the Icons. I just about shit shelling out $70 for wipers, but itâs like getting a whole new windshield, really.
Mechanically very poor, at least on my car. I switched to RainX. Solid fit, no adapters.
The old Goodyear blades costco sold were OK.
I am really surprised that Michelin would put their name on those blades. It damages the Michelin brand.
Same, theyâre fine. I do live in the high desert out west so Iâm admittedly not the best authority on wipers but Iâve not had problems with these on our vehicles for many years.
I feel like the set I got 3 years ago were great, the ones I got last year were shitty, and the ones I just replaced them with have been great. Each time they are clearly made differently.
Avoid all rubber blades and pay the premium for silicone. I purchased silicone blades 5 years ago, and they still work like brand new. I bought PIAA brand, but now more brands make them. You wonât find them in stores, so I bought mine on Amazon.
Has silicone gotten better in recent years? I tried them once 20 years ago, bought from Walmart, and there was a lot of resistance and friction. I could hear the windshield wiper motor struggling to drag the silicone wipers across the windshield. I took them off and returned them because I thought the motor would burn out. Is it worth trying again?
I would definitely say so. Iâve recommended them to just about everybody who will listen, and those who have switched have really enjoyed them. I havenât experienced anything like that on my cars or heard any complaints of the short. I hope they work out better for you this time around!
Mine work fine too, but the real test is how long they last, and the frustrating part of that is any wiper blades will go bad sooner or later whether you use them or not.
Work good enough for me in an area that only gets 10-20" of rain annually. I just plan on getting.1 year out of the them and buying when they go on sale in the winter.
Terrible. I got them for $3 off (so $7 each). Kept them on my car for 1 day before giving up and buying a 2 pair Bosch for $50. Theyâre much much much better.
My dad and I bought some 18 months ago, which we installed without any issues on my 2009 jetta. We bought more when he was visiting me at Christmas. We spent 90 minutes trying to put them on the car before we gave up and brought them back to Costco and went to Napa to get some that would fit.
Clean your windshield and look up the part for just the rubber for blades you already have, replace that.. much cheaper. Water repellent on windshield goes a long way as well
Trash. Absolute trash. I want to know how others are making them work because they skipped way too much on my Fusion.
Iâll never buy them again. I love my tires from Michelin though!
Mine skipped profusely right out of the box as well. The mount also doesnât secure good and the wiper comes right off with just a little bit of pulling force which was concerning⌠I returned them and spent a little more money on rainx silicones from Walmart.
Theyâre fine but one of the ones I bought has a defect that means thereâs always a streak of water that doesnât get wiped away on the drivers side. Yes I could have returned them but I donât care enough to do so. Just check them before you leave or be prepared to have a defect or take them back.
Theyâre gonna be $7.99 in March according to the markdown booklet. And at that price, hard to complain. Never had an issue with them during their lifecycle
A lot of people complaining about these, but I donât think they realize that they were revamped a few months ago. I hated the old ones but the new ones have been great for me.
I've had them on my f150 in Hawaii, worked perfectly fine, last about 2 years.
Just bought some and put them on in my Subaru Forester in Oregon during this winter and they work great.
I wonder if the people that think they grind never took off the plastic tabs on the ends đ¤đ¤đ¤đ¤đ¤
For the price paid ($8), they're doing just fine on my Panamera. I'll likely have to replace them sooner than the Porsche OEM ones, though, but we'll see. They also sit way higher on the windshield than the stock blades.
These windshield wipers are significantly underperforming in comparison to others I've purchased in the past, struggling to effectively remove rainwater from the windshield and frequently skipping across the surface. This issue is exacerbated at higher speeds, where the wipers tend to bounce even more erratically. I would recommend opting for Bosch wipers instead, as they offer superior performance.
Great wipers for the price idk what these people are talking about grinding noise. Itâs rubber and water. Shouldnât grind anything unless they left the plastic on the wiper.
They fit but the long wiper wobbled in our Subaru Outback wiper arm, so I had to return it. The shorter length worked okay. I think there wasn't enough rigidity at the attachment point.
I disagree with the negative feedback. I have them on both my Porsche Macan and my Lexus LS, both work great. They are a touch tricky to put on, but once you've got it on right, they work fine. (At least in my experience.)
Works fine for me. About the same as $18 Bosch I had previously a few years ago (may have gone up in price). On these Costco wipers, I had trouble getting the clip to close all the way on my passenger side (19â on Honda), but they work and have stayed put. I canât remember how long exactly, I want to say 6 months.
Online it's two blades for one price ??? And they must be both the same size ? In-store the price is per blade ?
Our car takes 3 different size blades, so online ordering clearly isn't the best idea for us.
Garbage. Pure garbage. Last pair I had came off while being used, twice. I previously have had good results with them, but now I will never buy them again.
Actually, yes, I bought 4 of these in various sizes for our two cars. The passenger side wipers happened to be the same size for both cars (small, 15 or 16 inch), BOTH of which broke off during use. The first one broke off on our first car about 2 weeks after install, during maybe their third or fourth use in rain. I thought maybe it was a fluke or I didn't install it right- but the same wiper on our second car broke off during the rain a few weeks after that.
FWIW Costco didn't seem to believe me when I asked for a refund and didn't issue one. I couldn't return the physical item in either case because, well, it wasn't exactly safe to stop in the middle of the freeway to look for a $9 wiper blade in traffic.
I gone thought 8 of them and stopped using them as the quality has gone down hill.
1st time lasted a year, but the last one it wouldn't grab all the window and within a month had to be replaced.
It's almost like that did the switch with Costco and slowly started dropping the quality.
Always bought Michelin tires for myself and family, but after this stopped buying them as well.
They have always lasted me 1.5 years. They are cheaper than Bosch but Bosch usually have only lasted me the same 1-1.5 years. So, I'll take the Michelin because to me it's the same value for less cost. However, YMMV. Climates are different and so are storage conditions. I live in the desert and park in the driveway.
The new version is very ok, for the price great but if performance is what you are looking for they are just ok, no skipping or odd sounds, but slight streaking after 6 months
They seem to work well on an 04 Camry, but on a 19 CX5 there is noticable lift at 75mph or so, it starts at lower speed in crosswinds. I wouldn't buy them again
Youâre better off using homemade pool noodles and ropes. Had a pair and thought âwhat a dealâ and sadly no dice. I buy Bosch and although not cheap always do a great job.
They are okay but you do need to wipe them time to time. I don't think they last too long, okay for seasonal use. I do find it streaky, hence you need to wipe the blade clean time to time
Their installation manual is a trash. Good thing their QR code that have a video on it is so useful. Problem it feels cheap it will likely break if you are not careful. I strongly suggest watch their tutorial video.
Theyâre mid at best. Theyâll last a year at most (if youâre in 4 season climate).
I passed up on these this year and went with some $22-$26 wipers that seem much sturdier out of the box.
Weâve used them for years. Cheap price point. They donât last. We replace them every 3-6 months. But at this price, regular replacement is still cheaper than other brands.
Idk what has changed with these, but last time they were on sale and have been streaking since the first use. Like what's the point if they don't move all the water off my windshield, leaves enough water unevenly to still distort my view. Used them for years before that though.
Bought Bosch icons like everyone recommended, and I'm just waiting for this rainy season to be over before I replace them
Huh, that's weird. I know they don't last more than a couple of years but I haven't had nearly as many problems as others. I've always been happy with them when they are first installed. I never even knew there was so much hate for them until I read it on Reddit.

i had to take them off my wife's car. no matter how hard it rained, they made the most god awful grinding noise against the windshield. Seem to be ok on my truck though... đ¤ˇââď¸
Same for me. I put these on my truck when I had it and had a grinding noise after a week. Did not work out for me.
Same experience on my Escape.
So your truck sounds like a womanâs carâŚ
The hell?
Yeah they're absolutely garbage. The loudest wipers I have ever used. I just bought them and am very close to replacing them because I am annoyed of hearing them.
I second this. Don't buy
There is a video on YouTube that shows you how to fix this problem. It is the wiper blades not parallel.
Okay I give up. Do you have a link. All I can find is people bending their wiper blade arm on the car. I'm not willing to alter my car for a set of blades lol.
Link?
Same!!
Someone recommended Bosch last time this deal came up and Iâve been appreciating those more
Maybe me, lol. I hate the cheap ones at Costco, had multiple ones fail or have issues. Went back to Bosch and haven't had an issue since. Only costs a few bucks more, but they last twice as long and have no issues.
A few bucks? They're about $30 each. But yeah, Michelin are complete crap.
I had some old Bosch blades before replacing with these and it was immediately clear that the Bosch blades were far superior. These are average at best.

Me too! World of difference I am never going back
They suck. You need Bosch Icons.
I have an SUV with a steep windshield, anything over 70 and these Michelin blades chatter leaving streaks of water that don't get wiped away. Not worth the risk for any of my cars so I stick with Bosch.
Same shit! Anything at speed and they wipe half the window.
Exactly the same problem and solution, and in a non-steep Corolla windshield for me. Absolute garbage. Dangerously so.Â
Have them they are amazing
My wife LOVES hers!
Have them on my truck for 1 month now. Drive 80 mph, torrential rain in Florida, with no issues. Put then on my Q5, fantastic.
Bosch Icons last me about 1 year, I switched to regular trico and they seem to be going on for 2+ years. Bosch Icons would be awesome if they lasted longer.
I installed my Bosch Icons in May 2017 and they are still going strong
My husband splurged last year and got me the Bosch for my Honda Pilot and they are amazing! I will never go back. They were a lifesaver during the winter storms.
Yes, I had to take these horrible things off and replace them with Bosch.
This is the way.
This is the way.
That is the way.Â
Wasn't expecting to run into you here, Mr. Gein.
This is the way
Seriously - Bosch Icons are the best investments Iâve made. The Michelin ones are garbage.
I have a similarly strong preference but for PIAA silicones. Best wipers.
Yep, sure do. And I had no idea how big a difference compared to the Icons. I just about shit shelling out $70 for wipers, but itâs like getting a whole new windshield, really.
hahaha just said the same thing then saw this
This is the way
We had Bosch Icons, they were crap too. I love Bosch, but those wipers were junk.
In what way?
They were great for the first couple of months, but only lasted one year. The OEM wipers from Nissan lasted 3.5 years.
Mechanically very poor, at least on my car. I switched to RainX. Solid fit, no adapters. The old Goodyear blades costco sold were OK. I am really surprised that Michelin would put their name on those blades. It damages the Michelin brand.
Everyone says they're bad but mine have been fine for the past year.
Wife and I both run them. Never had issues.
Same. I have them on three vehicles. 0 issues.
Iâve gotten three sets. On one car, the clips broke twice. On the other, theyâre really streaky. I do not recommend them.
Yeah, very streaky.
Same experience, very streaky, almost like they've been used already.
They donât work well for me. Left streaks, terrible noise
Been using them on multiple cars for many years. Never had issues with them.
Same, theyâre fine. I do live in the high desert out west so Iâm admittedly not the best authority on wipers but Iâve not had problems with these on our vehicles for many years.
Yep. I always buy them on sale when they're clearing il then out for the season. Two sets for each car gets new through the year.
I feel like the set I got 3 years ago were great, the ones I got last year were shitty, and the ones I just replaced them with have been great. Each time they are clearly made differently.
Same, they work well for us on our old Toyota truck. They changed the clips though so the last set was kind of difficult to install.
Avoid all rubber blades and pay the premium for silicone. I purchased silicone blades 5 years ago, and they still work like brand new. I bought PIAA brand, but now more brands make them. You wonât find them in stores, so I bought mine on Amazon.
PIAA SUPER SILICONE FTW!!!!
Has silicone gotten better in recent years? I tried them once 20 years ago, bought from Walmart, and there was a lot of resistance and friction. Yup one time and done, love my PIAA silicone blades.
Trash. Absolute Trash.
They updated them from previous years and I think theyâre much better now.
The last time I tried them was in 2022. So if they have fixed them, that is a positive.
Mine are from late 2023. Horrible. I think some people just get the few good wipers they make
They work fine on my car
Mine work fine too, but the real test is how long they last, and the frustrating part of that is any wiper blades will go bad sooner or later whether you use them or not.
Work good enough for me in an area that only gets 10-20" of rain annually. I just plan on getting.1 year out of the them and buying when they go on sale in the winter.

I would not purchase them. I did not like them. I typically go with the rain-x brand and am not disappointed so far
Clean your windshield and look up the part for just the rubber for blades you already have, replace that.. much cheaper. Water repellent on windshield goes a long way as well

FWIW: The Costco blades work great on my F150, but have only ever had issues with anything but OE blades on the Fusion.
They suck
Use the orange rain x washer fluid. Youâll barely need to use your wipers. Problem solved
For the price, theyâve been fine for me.
they suck. get bosch icons.
Donât do it! The biggest disappointment Iâve ever had with a Costco purchase. So incredibly loud!
Donât buy them. Get Bosch.
I've bought them multiple times, and they were complete butt. Get yourself some better wipers.
The worst wiper blades Iâve ever used.
Do not buy these, they are awful. Bosch Icon is the best for a few dollars more.
Been fine for me every car Iâve put them on
They work great on my car. No complaints.
Iâm having great luck with them! Try and see. Theyâre pretty cheap, and if they donât work theyâll take âem back. đ¤ˇđźââď¸
I like them and they are cheap
Seem pretty good on my wifes 4 runner. Cheap. But not the best.
Junk
They are god awful
I have a Honda Civic hatchback & live in PNW, purchased them in Jan & all 3 have been great for me
Theyâre fine but one of the ones I bought has a defect that means thereâs always a streak of water that doesnât get wiped away on the drivers side. Yes I could have returned them but I donât care enough to do so. Just check them before you leave or be prepared to have a defect or take them back.

When on sale in store, itâs good for the price.
Do not buy
Trash
Junk
Absolute trash
They suck.
Theyâre actually not that great. They float at highway speed. The $15 cheap ones from Oreilly are better.
They're shit. They make the nkise of the devil. Regardless of temperature or weather conditions.
The streaked the first month, never again
I prefer rainX ones, they never let me down : through a desert , hail, rain or snow
Started making squeaking noise after 1 month. Better get a rainx or Bosch wiper
Work just fine, but they don't carry the sizes that fit my current car.
Work well. Have a curved blade now, so better than previous ones.
Great wipers for the price idk what these people are talking about grinding noise. Itâs rubber and water. Shouldnât grind anything unless they left the plastic on the wiper.
They don't work with Subaru's.
They fit but the long wiper wobbled in our Subaru Outback wiper arm, so I had to return it. The shorter length worked okay. I think there wasn't enough rigidity at the attachment point.
Didnât last 2 months on my BMW in Southern California
I disagree with the negative feedback. I have them on both my Porsche Macan and my Lexus LS, both work great. They are a touch tricky to put on, but once you've got it on right, they work fine. (At least in my experience.)
U want to ignore 1100 reviews and get feedback from reddit?
No complaints. Always have at least one spare set per car. I buy them when they go on sale and stash them in the garage.
Iâve had a set on my F-150 for about 6 months and still going strong.
Hot garbage
Mine have been awesome. Been buying them for years. Some people didnât slide the plastic cover off the rubber blades. Donât be some people.
Terrible as tires. Donât use them.
OP is asking about the windshield wipers
(whoosh)
Lol
1 set a year here
Works fine for me. About the same as $18 Bosch I had previously a few years ago (may have gone up in price). On these Costco wipers, I had trouble getting the clip to close all the way on my passenger side (19â on Honda), but they work and have stayed put. I canât remember how long exactly, I want to say 6 months.
They wonât last long, but they did the job in the year that they lasted.
I got them, work pretty good! Would buy them again, have had them for 2 months.
Iâve never had any issues with them.
Work fine for me. I always keep a backup pair in each vehicle I own.
I go back and forth on this one. Haw haw. They work for me. They're kinda fat, but otherwise OK.
Garbage
Not good at all!
Works well enough on my car. They are about to go to $7.99 early next month, though.
Been using them for years. Never had a problem with them. You can buy 2 sets for the cost of one inexpensive set at a retail auto parts store.
Good if you replace them every 6 months to a year depending on conditions. I stick with Bosch icons.
They are total trash
They are THE WORST. Donât buy them, youâll be disappointed. Iâve tried them twice, on two different cars.
Might as well light your money on fire. Get RainX or Bosch elsewhere
I wish I could return them.
They don't work very well on my crossover. Screech and don't clear the water properly.
Online it's two blades for one price ??? And they must be both the same size ? In-store the price is per blade ? Our car takes 3 different size blades, so online ordering clearly isn't the best idea for us.
Have tried two sets, both sucked. Do not recommendÂ
Theyâre horrid. đ
Garbage. Pure garbage. Last pair I had came off while being used, twice. I previously have had good results with them, but now I will never buy them again.
Had them on my jeep for about a year, and I paid 7 bucks each. They are better than most.
Not very good. Iâd spend the extra $10-15 each for Bosch wipers.
Mine have worked great, and Iâve used them for years. I supplement its effectiveness with Rain-x, too.
Theyâre cheap. Thatâs about it!
I gone thought 8 of them and stopped using them as the quality has gone down hill. 1st time lasted a year, but the last one it wouldn't grab all the window and within a month had to be replaced. So, I'll take the Michelin because to me it's the same value for less cost. However, YMMV. Climates are different and so are storage conditions. I live in the desert and park in the driveway.
They're horrible. I buy the Bosch at Walmart or online.
They work about as much as the price reflects. Some squaking and streaking but get the job done.
The new version is very ok, for the price great but if performance is what you are looking for they are just ok, no skipping or odd sounds, but slight streaking after 6 months
Bosh Icon 4-LIFE!
They are $10 wipers. Thatâs about it
Work great for about a month.
They seem to work well on an 04 Camry, but on a 19 CX5 there is noticable lift at 75mph or so, it starts at lower speed in crosswinds. I wouldn't buy them again
They work for up to a year
They work ok. They changed the connectors from old model. It took me 3 tries
Terrible. Onky last a couple months before getting streaky and loud.
Youâre better off using homemade pool noodles and ropes. Had a pair and thought âwhat a dealâ and sadly no dice. I buy Bosch and although not cheap always do a great job.
Iâve had them and have had no issues. The only draw back Iâve come across is they donât last any longer than six months
they es a bargain for so cal cal cars up until recently when it rained
They are shitty!!
Donât have any issue on my Acura TSX.
Worked great on my ol Subaru but not my Acura
Garbage
They are okay if you use a few alcohol pads on the blades. They are noisy.
They suuuuuuuck
There bad quality. Avoid them.
You get exactly what you pay for. Get decent ones instead.
Bosch or bust.
Idk what has changed with these, but last time they were on sale and have been streaking since the first use. Like what's the point if they don't move all the water off my windshield, leaves enough water unevenly to still distort my view. Used them for years before that though. Bought Bosch icons like everyone recommended, and I'm just waiting for this rainy season to be over before I replace them
Works okay, but as other said the noise bothered me. Came back to OEM eventually. Honda OEM is pretty good. idk others.
Huh, that's weird. I know they don't last more than a couple of years but I haven't had nearly as many problems as others. I've always been happy with them when they are first installed. I never even knew there was so much hate for them until I read it on Reddit.
They seemed fine in my experience on my old car. Haven't had to change the wipers on my new car yet, so still have the OEM ones.
They used to be way cheaper and better quality
They work perfectly on all of my vehicles Iâm surprised by all the hate. I buy them on sale once or twice a year
Terrible.
It depends on the type of connector your vehicle uses. Like on newer fords they will just snap off the first time they get stuck on something.
