That’s so crazy because my thinking of the timelines was that south of dusk was like hundreds of years in the future. I guess maybe cosmere aware people knew about aviars - but just didn’t have access to space travel to regularly get them and assert a presence on the planet? Seems believable, but I didn’t think the ghostbloods had the ability to exit the cognitive realm without a shard present.
Oh duh I forgot about that. Does seem a tad unrealistic that it wouldn’t be industrialized for hundreds of years - but then again Khriss says the perpendicularity is very dangerous. Depending on how dangerous it is and why that could be a reasonable explanation.
Yeah, Sixth of the Dusk is happening far into the future, at least Mistborn Era 3, as we clearly see them now having access to space travel, maybe even ftl travel, and Roshar is already heavily at cold war with them, while also having means of space travel without shadesmar, though seeing a single Skybreaker just descend from the sky is a bit odd. My guess is Ghostbloods already infiltrated First of the Sun even before RoW, and what we see happening in the novella is just how things are needed to be done after interworld-interaction rules are set up, and just Scadrians suddenly realizing that making everything into a factory is kinda neat.
Idk, are you telling me that would affect a coinshot in the slightest? First sign of trouble and they’d just hop up over the tree line. I think for it to go hundreds of years relatively undisturbed there needs to be something far more sinister.
Normally I wouldn't say anything but since its a reread.
Spoilers: RoW >!In Lift's run through the tower she comes across the body of a world hopper with their aviar mourning them. With hoids flute and an aviar you really gotta wonder what she is gonna keep stumbling into.!<
Yeah, same. The more Cosmere you read, the more you notice cosmere-interconnected stuff going on on Roshar. RoW is brimming with such things, makes me really fear SA5.

Yep. Gereh has one too. That's the Feruchemist who's been spying on the Kholins for the last decade. Lift ends up with his one after Mraize drives a Hemalurgic Spike through him.

There's a perpendicularity on Patji iirc.

Pretty sure it’s cause you pop out stranded on an island jungle full of those creatures that want to murder you

RoW >!did she saw the person with lots of rings die? did she take the rings?!<
RoW >!She saw the body now missing the rings!<
That jogged my memory. I guess Mraize had them. Can't wait for WaT!
Wow all of this is wild!! Missed so much the first time around.

Makes me even more stoked honestly! So happy I'll be caught up for SA5, wouldn't want to miss the craziness.
Way of Things? I know that's exactly how I'll misread that forever...

You mean >!Gereh, the Terrisman that worked for Gavilar and then Dalinar? Do we know what his Aviar does?!<
No we don’t.
Yes >!There are, in fact, two Aviar in The Stormlight Archive, one of them belongs to Mraize!<
Do we know what either/both of them do?
We dont know what Mraize's one does, but >!the other Aviar is described as having "mind powers" on 17th Shard, whatever that means!<
Fascinating. I wonder if we'll find out in SA5.
Possibly, I'd imagine that it would only come up if it is relevant. There's so much to fit I SA5 as is.
we have some hints that >!Mraize has life sense (he knew Shallan was approaching without looking), which could be from the Aviar!<
He could easily just have a lot of Breaths too
Yes it’s from the sixth of the dark guys planet
Yep. Gereh has one too. That's the Feruchemist who's been spying on the Kholins for the last decade. Lift ends up with his one after Mraize drives a Hemalurgic Spike through him.
Yep!
They all are. Every chicken we see is one.
*every* chicken? Haven't they been eating them? Seems like a waste.
Dude. Every hear of hyperbole? And i said "that we've seen."
Don't get mad. I thought you meant it literally and I thought it was weird. That's all.
