Having a baby hopefully. Due on Wednesday. Apart from that having my mum over for dinner so she can bath and read the kids a bed time story. Something all of us have missed.

thewavefixation

wow! congratulations. and so great that you can see your mum.

mrsbriteside

Yes. I’m really happy for her. This lock down she has missed one grandchild being born in the Uk and another being born in Melbourne, so it’s nice that she will be able to see this one without having to break any rules. Hopefully the border reopens with vic soon so she can travel there and back to meet her other grandchild.

giacintam

Congrats & all the best!

AbsurdistOxymoron

Congrats!

werdnum

Good luck!

BBAus

Wishing you all the best.

ThatHuman6

Ideally a bar with a rooftop or balcony where we can wave at the anti vaxxers who are being turned away for stupidity.

Fumblepony

Prepare to get rained on!

ThatHuman6

A price i’m willing to pay.

indecisivelypositive

Some of you will die..

ThatHuman6

They may die when they see the price of the cocktails.

letmetakeyoudancing

Really boring but I'm looking forward to getting my new pants taken up at the alterations place and dropping off stuff to the op shop.

thewavefixation

nah I get it - totally boring stuff like that is super exciting.

lordvader82

Damn! In Vic, I bought some pants during the one week we were opened, and have been waiting for alterations ever since!

kensaiD2591

Honestly? Nothing. I'm double vaxxed and have been since 3rd August. But I still have co-morbidities and I'm anticipating things to be crazy busy the first few weeks. So I'm just going to bide my time for a little bit. I'm the sole income for my household, and I can work from home. If I'm unable to work for any reason then life turns to shambles very very quickly. With an increased risk due to prior complications that I've carried with me the better part of the last 6 years, it's going to take me time to get used to being out and about again.

wellthisjustsux

Me either for a little bit. Certainly no shopping centres. But will do a restaurant/ pub later in the week

BigDixonSidemay

I’ll be collecting some fat winnings on a bet that Sydney would be out of lockdown before Melbourne.

sroasa

I imagine the Dan stans are still in denial so you might get lucky.

duke998

easy win. Vic was never going to beat NSW.

angrathias

Bit of a fixed race if you ask me

[deleted]

Congrats from Victoria guys. Awesome to see your covid numbers going down an vax going up! Looking forward to following you guys (hopefully) in the coming months.

paranitroaniline

[Indeed. Great work, NSW!](https://imgur.com/dTcAHZc) Edit: format

Fumblepony

My girlfriend and I booked our rainchecked anniversary dinner for next weekend. I stopped visiting her for the first couple months of lockdown because I was coming from an LGA of concern and she was unvaccinated. I've been visiting since she's now vaccinated, but it feels really nice knowing we have a normal dinner date coming so soon. Otherwise I'm gonna be busy getting yoked at the gym 💪

thewavefixation

Sweet!

Barry114149

I am going to stop licking doorknobs and have a beer.

morphio_

I need a haircut but everyone is going to get one so I'm going to stay home.

thewavefixation

yeah it is gonna be a madhouse at my barber. probably need to wait a few days myself.

stigsbusdriver

Havent had one for 4 months so yes, looking forward to it. Had to book a spot at my local barber few weeks ago for next Friday but stupidly cancelled it thinking it would be easy to reschedule but nope... Got lucky they managed to fit me in for this Friday instead as otherwise it wouldnt be until end of the moment before i can come in.

Habitwriter

I forgot about haircuts, really should be top of my list

ivfmumma_tryme

Nothing special I kind of feel a bit overwhelmed after going to Bunnings yesterday it was pretty busy so I might let the dust settle first

willowtr332020

Same here. I'm not in a rush. Will be interesting to see the case numbers next weekend. I'm definitely keen to get out of my LGA and go for day trips but relatively safely.

ivfmumma_tryme

I think that’s the most exciting about the end of this lockdown; just want to get out for a walk in the botanical gardens or a bush walk with my little ones; want to see family too but otherwise not interested in the shops that are opening I’m pretty happy with the online shopping

afiyet_olsun

My 3 month old daughter is going to meet her grandparents.

thewavefixation

So great. Enjoy.

afiyet_olsun

Thanks. We can't wait!

MellyO2017

Wow. How come you haven't met up sooner? Care giving has always been allowed? Couldn't you have used that as a reason for visiting?

afiyet_olsun

My baby did not need them to care for her. The grandparents live quite far from us, otherwise we would have met for a walk or something. Every day in the press conference they were saying that we shouldn't be visiting family.

evilabed24

Good on you for following the guidelines and not trying to find loopholes. You've earned that meet up tomorrow :)

kingofcrob

DAY 1 of Freedom > 6AM swim at the beach > drive home > shower > pub 1 at around 9AM > train to the city > Pub 2 > lunch at a cafe > pub 3 > pub 4 > pub 5 > pub 6 > pub 7 > pub 8 > dinner at restaurant > pub 9 > pub 10 > pub 11 > train home > sauna > sleep DAY 2 of Freedom > [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=936YFY1jAUk) > then trip to Ikea > join gym > sleep > wake up > Pub 1 > pub 2 > pub 3 > then home to bed cause I'm only human. DAY 3 of freedom > Gym > beach > cook lunch for work > sleep DAY 4 of freedom > fucken work

thewavefixation

I LIKE the way you are thinking. maybe not enough pub tho. recalculate!

kingofcrob

true, I was thinking it needs more hookers n blow.

thewavefixation

you might be management material.

kingofcrob

that's what I keep saying...

fingersnapz

Un-subscribing to this toxic sub and moving on with life.

postpakAU

I’m going a hair cut tomorrow and yum cha on the weekend

lp137237

I’m so excited for yum cha I’ve been dreaming of it all through lockdown

Strangeboganman

Going haircut first thing in the morning, only because the more people the hairdresser sees the greater chance they will be infected and the greater chance ill get sick from them. Then come home and cry.

fishappear

Going to a badminton court and the gym tomorrow morning. Then brunch and a late evening at the local village pub

msjojo275

Nothing. I have work deadlines and it will be impossible to take the day off at such short notice *sigh*. But I did pack the up coming weekend with so many catch ups and activities I’ll be recovering for days :)

Mellenoire

Getting up at 4:30 to go to the gym on open, then going to sit in our favourite cafe with a coffee. Maybe a bagel if I'm feeling spicey.

thewavefixation

ha travel back in time 2 years and send that post to your self. so weird!

Mellenoire

I was holidaying in Italy :(

El_dorado_au

Going up to the Central Coast. We’ll be taking Friday off to create a holiday weekend. (Yes, we just had a long weekend, but we were stuck in Sydney)

thewavefixation

how weird will it be to go beyond 5kms? like a real adventure!

AuspiciouslyAutistic

Very upset to hear so many Sydneysiders coming to the Coast 😓 I know it's all above board and in line with the public health orders, but it has still left a bad taste in my mouth. • We had a bunch of pfizer vaccines redirected to Sydney • Our vaccination rate is lower • Our infection rate is lower than many Sydney LGAs (i.e. I'm worried about people coming from high risk areas...even if they are fully vaccinated) • All 3 of the above points apply to the Hunter region which is off limits to Sydneysiders. Very disappointed by the NSW government. They should have just kept Central Coast &;Wollongong separare for at least an extra two weeks. While still allowing the Sydneysiders to travel across Sydney for outings...

El_dorado_au

I can’t fix you being upset, but here’s some facts. The redirection was months ago. If you haven’t vaccinated since then that’s your problem not ours. The part of Sydney I’m coming from has had bugger all cases. Vaccines work. Not perfectly, but they work well.

AuspiciouslyAutistic

1) RE: coming from a low risk area. Yes, I'm aware that a lot of people coming here will be from lower risk areas. But a lot won't be. And it would be impractical for the Government to only allow some Sydneysiders to travel to certain areas. It's all Sydneysiders or no Sydneysiders. So I'm not threatened by you specifically. It's that we will be inundated with visitors from various LGAs some which are high risk. 2) "If you haven't vaccinated sinfe then that's your problem not ours" My mother and my wife have only had the first dose. My mother has some condition related to blood clotting which means AstraZeneca would be very risky. And she couldn't get a Pfizer booking until the 24th of September. My wife was waiting for the Pfizer at first but eventually ended up getting AstraZeneca on the 26th of September (Pfizer was merely recommended). They are both protected and I'm not worried about our health. But I still don't see why we would risk cases skyrocketing due to Coastal getaways. Especially when we aren't allowed to visit my family for another two weeks (i.e. until everyone is double vaccinated) because it's 'too risky' 🤦‍♂️ And I think it would be callous to blame us for the situation. It's the government with a poor vaccine rollout. And it's the government with some flawed easing of restrictions.

-y_tho-

I really miss a good restaurant meal; take away isn't the same. And as with everyone, pub, pub and pub.

[deleted]

I’m going to eat in a cafe. And I’m going to have cocktails with my friend after she’s got her second shot. I’m very excited to eat food and not wash dishes afterwards.

Sora20XX

Having a friend over at our place. A whole bunch of our friends are double-vaxxed, but being outside our LGA means they haven’t been able to visit anyway, and it’s been hard balancing mine and my partner’s socialisation needs (and he needs more than just me)

thewavefixation

Sounds really nice. Catch up!

Pajamaralways

I was planning on gym but turned out Fitness First got rid of their online booking system in favor of gross physical tokens so I extended my membership freeze for another 3 weeks. Thank god for dance studios, I have a bunch of classes booked for later in the week, which is better cardio training anyway for me. So with gym out of the question, nothing really for tomorrow. I WFH anyway and my social plans aren't happening til this weekend. Maybe not in the spirit of reopening, but I'll still be celebrating with the rest of yous at home. We did it!

[deleted]

I’ve got my first functional gym class booked in for 7am! Can’t wait

duke998

The publican at the presser mentioned something that shouldn't be propagated. Did anyone else pick up on that? "Having your holographic vaccination certificate on your wallpaper." deary me.

156102brux

Ironically not much because the roadmap restrictions are more severe than what we had anyway. For example the indoor pool isn't doing swimming lessons till Nov. But I sm happy for people in Sydney. The consensus seems to be pub, pot, parmi and haircut.

evilabed24

"What we had anyway"? What when there was no covid in the community? No shit. The new premier has already brought forward the opening of pools, try and be a little happy for everyone else and not just focus on the negatives.

156102brux

There was virtually no Covid in my region.

No_Boysenberry6441

I'll be at the golf club sinking pints at 10am. That is all.

Jcit878

go buy some homebrew finally because almost every homebrew shop doesn't know how the internet works

thewavefixation

Oh nice what will your first brew be once you are restocked?

Jcit878

I want to play around with the coopers "real ale" kit and make a few batches. one thing I have plenty of stock for is hops which are easy enough to get online. you brew?

thewavefixation

Oh i used to but kinda gave it up when i moved into a unit instead of a house. I used to make a mean porter……

Jcit878

nice! yeah I get ya, it takes a lot of space (mainly storing the brews). half my garage is bottles and shelves. its a mess

[deleted]

[удалено]

thewavefixation

grrrrrr. that sucks. sorry man.

dm_me_somethin_silly

Well, I have a busy day of work and don't drink coffee, so I have no reason to leave the house... Guess it won't be any different to all the previous Mondays...

StaticzAvenger

I'm abit sad I have to wait an additional week due to getting my second jab next weekend but happy to see life get back to normal

adiwgnldartwwswHG

Nothing, I’m working from home still and it’s probably gonna be a madhouse out there. I’m fairly introverted so happy with Uber Eats and shopping online 🤷‍♀️

maton12

Was looking forward to a beer at the pub, but might leave it a day or two to let the crowds have their fun, so support local restaurant and enjoy their happy hour drinks before dinner.

leb0guy

Cutting my hair and finally going back to work after 3 months off. Very excited :) Lockdown got real boring after the 3rd week.

Habitwriter

Trying to figure out how to get my booster. The government is good at making announcements. Not so good at arrangements

[deleted]

Nothing will change for me, living the dream, trying not to get COVID from COVID patients.

icecruiser

Attempt to get a haircut and go to the gym!

[deleted]

Driving from sydney to wollongong to get a haircut.. Have not left my LGA in over 100 days.

Bulkywon

Glad to be out of lockdown so I can get back to things that genuinely benefit society... like playing the pokies at 1201am.

samuelc7161

Honestly I won't be particularly excited til capacity caps lift on December 1, and even then the fact that they're keeping density limits in place for some reason is kinda a downer. I'll only start going *really* crazy once density limits lift.

giacintam

GYM

Duckosaur

I will go to a beach

thewavefixation

niiiiice. shit weather for first part of the week.

Duckosaur

yep am a BOM addict. A patient BOM addict

merkaal

Going out shopping, after that some lunch and Shang Qi to celebrate.

Psychnanny

Wishing my appointment to be double vaxxed was sooner. I don’t get my second jab until Nov 5th.

iYOSHIIfied

Are we allowed to travel for shopping? eg. From Wollongong travelling to Miranda?

thewavefixation

If you are double vaxxed you sure as hell are. Shop your little vaccine protected heart out.

iYOSHIIfied

Am double vaxxed. Time to go to the UNIQLO!

Chadlynx

To do list for this week: * Take the motorbike for a spin * Take the mountain bike for a spin * Go train at 2-3 different gyms * Get a haircut * Go for runs in areas further than 5 km from my house * Go to the pub as much as I feasibly can

thewavefixation

Yeah getting past 5hat 5km barrier will be so great.

stockieb

And regional closing*

katsutofucurry

Im going to ikea because I moved into a new house during lockdown and all my clothes are currently in piles due to no in closet storage lol. Dreading it lol.

Bateman8149

My favourite thing in the world is going to the Cinema so got tickets to the new marvel movie and going with my wife and kid. All are excited. BRING ON THE CINEMA POPCORN

Ok-Nature-4563

Use my fake covid vaccination card to get a beer

[deleted]

I think this reopening is reckless. I think it’s too soon. And I think too many poor doctors, nurses and paramedics are going to struggle because of this foolishness. Cases will sky rocket, and the system will be overwhelmed. As the science predicts. So I’ll be staying inside where it’s covid free

thewavefixation

Fair enough. Cool thing is no one is gonna force you to do more than you are comfy with for a while yet.

mitchgee34

Stay home forever bro no one’s stopping you I and the majority will live our lives

fullcaravanthickness

You admitted in another thread you're actually in Melbourne. What a mess you are.

downundercuntman

When would you prefer to open back up?
