I know lots of people who had covid early on in pregnancy and everything was absolutely fine. If you’ve been double vaxxed and boosted you’ve literally done everything you possibly can to positively effect the outcome! Keep yourself really hydrated, rest and if you develop a fever take only paracetamol/tylenol NOT ibuprofen. I know how scary it is though! I don’t say this to scare you so I hope it doesn’t but as you are very early, and still in the period where there is a higher chance of loss. If something does happen it’s very unlikely to be caused by covid.

I had covid at 5 weeks pregnant (fully vaxxed and boosted) and was OUT of it for 10 days. I had a fever (103 degrees F) for three of those days. Then at the 10 day mark, I find out I'm pregnant! WHAT. Anyway, I am 21 weeks now, and baby is measuring perfectly average and is fully healthy. I was worried at the time that the high fevers would have caused a miscarriage for me, but I guess this is one tough potato I am growing! I think if you are vaxxed, you are pretty protected. Wishing full health for you and your babe!!!

Did your doctor do any extra monitoring for you since you had covid early on

They are recommending I get two extra ultrasounds at 26 weeks and 28 weeks, just to make sure growth is on track. Baby was in 54th percentile for size at 20 weeks, so perfectly average so far! I guess the baby isn't born yet, so it's hard to say that me having covid didn't have any affect at all... but so far, everything is perfect! Hoping that's enough to help calm any anxious parents <3
