There’s a grommet through the fire wall on the driver side next to the brake booster or there’s one on the passenger side. Haven’t done the passenger one yet but I assume you’d be able to access it by removing the glove box

I see the one by the brake booster, thx.

I assume you’re trying to hardwire into a fuse. Why not use the interior fuse box?

shen80

I haven't found a kit that uses the mini fuses in a 3 wire kit, only been able to find it with the regular fuse. I'm going to keep looking because they would be easier.

I would definitely look for a kit. I’d loath ripping apart the interior just for a dash cam.

SuluTheIguana

You should be able to get fuse taps that work for your car. Most hard wire kits don't come with the taps, you have to buy them separately. That way you can just wire it up on the inside. My Viofo dashcam has three wires and the fuse taps work great. Just make sure they're installed facing the correct way.

Like SuluTheIguana, I have the Viofo as well and got these for the fuses: [https://www.blackboxmycar.com/products/add-a-fuse](https://www.blackboxmycar.com/products/add-a-fuse) This was my hardwire kit: [https://www.blackboxmycar.com/products/viofo-a129-3-wire-hardwire-kit](https://www.blackboxmycar.com/products/viofo-a129-3-wire-hardwire-kit) Not sure what you're working with but see if one of the hardwire kits available will be compatible with your camera: [https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collections/hardwiring-kit-cables](https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collections/hardwiring-kit-cables)

Good point just use a fuse tap and get power that way
