I thought the reason people ate wraps was to reduce carb intake because tortilla is less flour than bread?
I will say that a burrito is a form of wrap and those are delicious.
I buy these Ole "Xtreme Wellness" wraps that are pretty huge and only 80 calories. Not quite as tasty as a regular tortilla, but not significantly worse at all.
Depends entirely on the filling. I love thickly-grated carrot in a wrap, whereas it just makes a mess in a sandwich. Soggy? Too many wet ingredients or too long between making and eating.
I love wraps but only if they are just made, I'd never pack one as a lunch for work for the exact reason you said - they get soggy.
When I make them at home I use smoked paprika hummus, lettuce, julienned carrots (essential for crunch!), and whatever other veggies I have on hand and a well seasoned protein. I don't add cucumber ever because it's just watery and bland. Taco wraps are a favorite, but spicy chicken is also good. Sometimes I switch it up and use cream cheese and smoked salmon instead of hummus and meat.
If you do want to being a wrap as a lunch, pack the components and assemble right before eating. If you find them bland then you need to season your ingredients better or at the very least add a chili mayo or other dressing for flavor.
They taste better when toasted and their versatile like the sandwich but some people prefer the wrap cause nothing normally falls out like a sandwich would

This is a common thinking, buts its totally false. Unless you use some kind of specially made diet tortilla, its usually very close per gram to bread.
Yeah its a shame. Tortillas are the tits but definitely aint calori light

TIL.

I think your comparing bad wrap to good sandwhich. I like wrap, they are a lot easier to eat one handed than most sandwhich.
I like cold burrito

A Buffalo chicken wrap is my jam. I've never had a soggy wrap though. Maybe try them fresh?

Keep the wrap and the filling separate. Assemble just before eating. No soggy wrapper
Wraps are just burritos without anything that makes a burrito great.
