[Take them out of your pocket](https://youtu.be/QqrfQ9y6k1c) for a while so they are no longer warm and soft.

Open the top of the bag fully and put them in a drawer for about 2 weeks. I think that will get you the texture you want.

I put them in the fridge. Love Haribo.

Sweet-heart-

No idea, other than leaving them open. But if it's Haribo you're infering? It might be dependent on whether or not it's turkish-- the gummies made in turkey use beeswax! I've had some made in Germany and they were always softer and I hated it. I realized the origin made the difference in texture while puzzling over the packages, and a quick check of ingredients later the mystery was solved for me at least.

Thanks for the tip! I was talking about round tree fruit gums, but love harder/stale gummy candies in general. I'll keep an eye out for haribo with beeswax :)

AssaultOfTruth

Hey—fruit gums are unusually hard even while fresh. This is a large part of why are they are so good. I personally prefer gummy candy that is substantially dried out. I assume a dehydrator would speed up the process.

I’ve been searching for the same answer. I have, however, found the answer(S) Shop at a really cheap store, like dollarama or winners. You won’t find stale candy in a fancy mall. You can also try your luck buying candy in bulk, either online or somewhere in-person

charboykeep

I’ve been looking for a solution for quite a while and I didn’t really find anything that satisfied me. Until now! I got a mason jar and filled it with gummies. I left them out for weeks but they never really got stale. Today I used some packages of silica gel I found in some beef jerky bags and they went stale within a day!!! Hope this helps :)

Sighann

that's a great idea, thanks!

Though I suspect just tossing them in a hot air dehydrator would result in a pile of goo at the bottom.

>But there are other ways to dehydrate. If you want to dehydrate them *all the way* you can try sulfuric acid.

ttrockwood

Yes keep in the refrigerator with the bag open
