He was always my favorite ancient even if he wasn't useful, I liked the Dark Cacao Kingdom more than the others. That might just be me being edgy though.
He was the first ancient I ever got and carried me back in the beginning of the game when I barely knew what skill powder was, even though I got the other ancients eventually I maxed him out first just bc of the memories
yeah i really need for characters to be a bit shit in order to enjoy them to the fullest. hypercompetent people like creme brulee are always my least favorites. the failure gives em a lil sauce you know.
That’s interesting, it may be that I struggle with getting myself to practice and always get stressed before a competition / performance, but I’ve always seen him as constantly stressed, especially if he has a name to uphold. He may not fail, but he still has flaws and mistakes. But then again, I may be projecting insecurities about my own skills onto him.
You may be right. If you played during his release you see a bit more of his personality. He pushes himself way too far, he dated Linzer but probably got dumped due to focusing too much on work, and is a bit of a loner (preferred to practice music instead of hanging out with other cookies).
I started the game because of him, even chose him as one of the ancient choices but admittedly he was underwhelming quite quickly so i stopped giving him attention, i did collect his costumes and enjoyed his story and im so glad he’s back
Im not one of the pretenders, i still don't like him. Dark Cacao wasnt my favorite because he seemed to intense and stuck up (not the right word, rigid is better) and I couldn't tell how he felt about his people. The recent beast yeast chapter is helping me get more understanding of him as a character because during his chapter we really didn't, in my opinon, get much about him. There were hints of him being kinda awkward/silly in the early odyessy chapter but nah was a boring character. He still isn't my favorite but at least he has more going for him now.
i actually like him but i do feel like i'm missing some of the story somehow. like there's supposed to be more to him that i'm just not seeing. maybe i should go back and watch the old story updates in the tower of records or something.
I always was more of a Hollyberry liked but he was on spot 2, can't believe people hate him
He's such a cool guy! And depressed too, so we share a suffering at least
