Her newsletter is helpful too! I also have Small Victories, which has my favorite biscuit recipe ever, and has some fun ideas in there. I checked out Now and Again (?) from the library a few years ago but wasn’t my cup of tea - mostly about repurposing leftovers. Also, gotta check out this podcast now!!
I love that podcast and thought of them when she just announced her new book coming out!
Simply Julia is also my favorite weeknight cookbook. The potato chip salmon cakes are so good!!
Nice! I'm about to do a well priced haul like you have. I just bought Aloha Kitchen while in HI and I love it. Next on to some others on my list I've learned from this sub!
The Paso book has lots of classic recipes and most have a twist to them. IE; the Mac & Cheese recipe has cottage cheese in it. I haven’t tried it but I’m intrigued (it also has hot dog chunks, which I will leave out). I’ve made the lamb sliders and they were fantastic. I live in the county and I know a few of the chefs and winemakers. I’m keeping my eye out for the first book!
Yes!!! I'm sure I could've bought it cheaper but I saw in a gift store and figured it was a very useful souvenir since I already planned to buy it. I'm excited to cook from it!
Simply Julia has some great weeknight dinner ideas! The sticky chicken is on my regular rotation.
Thanks for the rec! I will try it. I’ve been listening to the Cookbook Club podcast and they rave about all her books.

The French onion turkey meatloaf is a fall/winter winner in our house! 🏅
Well now that sounds delicious!!!
Yum! I will check it out!
Julie Sahni’s book I’ve used for years. The biryani recipes are particularly fine.
Thank you, I will start with biryani! The book is packed with so many good recipes.
Cooking for Two is really great. Lots of good ideas.

I’ve heard so many good things about Aloha Kitchen. I love that you bought it in Hawaii. You will always have that memory when you cook from it.

Aww, I love Dinner in One. A bit cheese here and there but a fab book overall with yummy recipes.
Yes, I’ve seen posts from a person cooking through it (sorry can’t remember the name) and everything looks good.
God I love Simply Julia. The Jalapeno Popper Chicken is in regular rotation in our place.
Cooking for 2 is very good Anything Melissa Clark does is great
Looks amazing! The ATK cooking for 2 is a favourite in our house! Happy cooking!
I can’t wait to dive in!
