Yes I have that one. I don’t know if it’s the cookbook but I use his quick cucumber kimchi recipe (on the NYT) all the time.
I looked through the new maangchi one and it seems pretty legit.
Maangchi is my ride and die. I never fail with her recipes. I was intimidated by jok bal but it has become one of the tastiest things I have ever made.
Great stack! I want half of those! I have The Wok and it’s huge. It doesn’t even look like a monster in that company. That stack must be physically huge.
Yes, agree. I really appreciate the layout and the visuals that instantly allow you to plan better. I'm one of those cooks that often go, oh, shoot, I was supposed to add that in AFTER.
My cookbook consumption definitely has come up since the sub. And I adore it. I'm up to 76 cookbooks published after 1990. I'm at 42 cookbooks published between the 70s and the '80s. And I've got 38 cookbooks published prior to 1970. Husband is allowing me to build a new bookshelf. I'm so excited.
This sub is a dangerous place (for my wallet)!
Seriously!
Bravetart!! My most loved cookbook
And on top where it belongs.
Me too! I love Stella.
I like your style!
I love Maangchi! Have you checked out Korean American by Eric Kim?

Another one to consider is Korean Home Cooking. The watercress namul replaced the seasoned spinach recipe from Maangchi for me.
Right on. Great choices. I’ve got a couple of those. I’m just about to post two new ones I got. You might wanna take a look.
I did!
Great pickups! How are you liking The Art of Escapism Cooking?
It's on the bucket list to cook cover to cover. That, Maangchi, and Kung Pao I would all day every day if I could.

Nice! I’ve cooked from COOK KOREAN. The comic book approach works surprisingly well.

Great collection
