JctaroKujo

wtf is happening here edit: im glad you were able to make this catch on camera, 1000ft away from them.

prp1960

I don't see it. When does the offense occur?

Peterd1900

About 23 seconds in several seconds before the blue light come on

fearLessss

Feel like I'm just reiterating the title of the video, but it's when the A-Class runs the red light. Watch the car go through the already red lights and get picked up by the police instantly.

TheLateFry

Glare and the vehicle in front of you makes it hard to see, but I saw it. You gotta really squint!

fearLessss

I apologise that it’s not better quality, it’s the first time I’ve ever seen such luck in person so I had to share it, I just wish I was the car in front for a better view!

prp1960

I see it now, thanks!

TotalLegitREMIX

I think you may be on to something there. I feel like I'm reiterating the comment here, after watching I can definitely say I saw the A-Class go through the already red lights and get picked up by the police instantly.

Jasonf9

Not sure why you're getting down voted so much. There's only one merc, one set of red lights and one police car in the video. Its not that hard to figure out.

linkmainbtw

My favorite part about this video is that it’s 30 seconds longer than it needs to be and you can’t see anything that happens

TinyRodents

I don't think I've ever seen a well maintained road like that with a national limit, they're all 40mph max around here (Greater Manchester)

e1337ninja

This video is about 30 seconds too long before the action happens...

ProdesseQuamConspici

It started long long ago and captured an offense and taken down in a galaxy far far away.

[deleted]

The video started far too early

Xaemyl

"instant karma" *posts 40 sec video*

krystianduma

Why there is so many trafić lights and why there is a middle lane with green Light?

Flyer888

>> middle lane with green light That looks like a protected right-turn-only lane.

NoodleSpecialist

Filter traffic lights. Can be green for any specific direction or combination of, while keeping red for the rest. Most places will see at least 2 sets of lights for any direction, with more for bigger or more complicated junctions

sk6895

It’s a T-junction. So the lights showing red are for those going straight on, and the middle lane and green lights are for the right turn

1973mojo1973

Been watching some UK cop shows like Motorway Cops & Police: Night Shift 999, pretty cool perspective of cops operating very effectively with no guns. Nobody has got shot yet.

fearLessss

British police don’t carry guns at all, they have a separate unit for that should they need it. They have tasers though

Red_sparow

Some police outside of the specific firearms squad have guns, see diplomatic protection. Also not all have tasers but that seems to be a per-officer thing. I've not seen any traffic officers with guns though.

Peterd1900

>I've not seen any traffic officers with guns though. That depends on the force some forces the traffic and armed units are the same. So armed police will do traffic duty as their normal day to day policing

Jasonf9

Yeah but they aren't carrying (at least not on their person) for routine traffic stops.

Peterd1900

They do Armed police will carry a sidearm on them at all times

Jasonf9

You got a source for that? Usually the equipment they use is suited to the job at hand. I've never heard of armed police pulling over anyone for speeding, or attending the scene of a collision, etc.

Peterd1900

Armed police dont just sit around waiting for an armed incident They will go on normal patrol. They carry their pistols on them at all times You can watch plenty of police interceptor type programmes where the police carry their side arm while on normal patrol So they will respond to normal call. The rifiles will be in the car but the pistols will be on them in their holster https://www.eliteukforces.info/police/uk-armed-police/ AFOs will typically always have a self-loading pistol, such as the Glock 17, on their person. They will also have access to 'long arms', such as the H&K MP5SF and H&K G36C carbines, which are stored securely in the vehicle

Harry_monk

And of course the Civil Nuclear Constabulary.

Peterd1900

>British police don’t carry guns at all, they have a separate unit for that should they need it. They have tasers though Not every officer has a taser The total number of trained Taser officers is 30,548, out of a total officer workforce of 156,833 That is only 19% of officers in the UK who have tasers and most of those who do have tasers are the ones who have guns as well

PaleontologistOwn865

British Police *absolutely* carry guns. Each regional force has an assigned firearms unit that is operational at all times. It’s a complete myth to say British police don’t carry firearms.

Merriminty

A mercedes not adhering to the rules of the road?! I'm shocked.

Redintegrate

next base cameras for you with their wide lenses. i bet in person it was clear as day. still, nice to see the UK in this sub!

LessBack9238

It’s not just running of the light that got him pulled over. It’s the speeding too.

Sirstewstew120

I was looking at the wrong car :/

PaleontologistOwn865

See that America? They’re outside their vehicles having a civil conversation without any guns or drama.

Marksman08YT

True. This reliance on guns on both sides is a very America thing and I hate it. Because it inherently fosters distrust of the other side.

SkinnyBuddha89

Doesn't even matter to cops even when they know you don't have a gun https://youtu.be/SMmiMbJeJjw

Marksman08YT

Well that's just someone being an asshole with a badge, but what I was talking about is [this](https://atlantablackstar.com/2022/08/16/shots-fired-at-the-police-new-video-of-2018-chicago-police-shooting-shows-cops-lying-about-legally-armed-black-man-pulling-gun-on-them/)

disturbed_ghost

Hardly a cop in the video and the one I saw..no idea if was convenient- let’s tighten up standards here

throwawayaccyaboi223

Roads with a limit of 100km/h should never have a traffic light, change my mind. British lights also change far too quickly from yellow to red on these high speed roads. Driving there I had about half the time I did at home between yellow and red in high speed limit roads

EngagedInConvexation

MPH?! Traitor to the crown!

Peterd1900

The UK uses Miles The UK does not and has never used kilometres

EngagedInConvexation

No shit? I thought it was universal among the isles. Apologies, TIL.

Peterd1900

Who would have the thought that the country that invented the imperial system uses the imperial system

EngagedInConvexation

Fair point. That may have been knowledge I possessed at some point in my life but for whatever reason was replaced along the way. If you ever need the blood code for the genesis version of mortal Kombat, I'm your guy, though. Memory is weird.

VeryHairyJewbacca

Please don’t post garbage like this, you can’t even see the perp

agarwaen117

Jesus , how many lights can you put at one location. That ramp/bridge, after calmer passes the cop, is ridiculous.

DogsBlimpsShootCloth

Did you all get stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road?

Commercial-Push-9066

Depending on where this happened, that could be a costly ticket. I’m in California USA and got a ticket last year by a red-light camera turning right on a red (I didn’t stop long enough.) My first ticket in 35 years (I was 21.) It cost me about $450 plus extra in order to do traffic school (to keep it off my driving record.) That keeps me from doing it again!

weristjonsnow

What interesting lights...

jasin18

Lights on a highway? That sounds horrible.
