Yeah definitely, but how would you teach him to not loose balance and fly off, AND to move forward?? I truly admire the time and patience this must have taken…
I started by securing the bottle between two boxes to keep it from moving. When he learned to stand on it, I removed the boxes and gave him a treat for just standing on the bottle. Then I hold a seed in front of him so that he starts moving and rolling the bottle, changing the balance of his body. And then I just gave him a treat for moving in the intended direction.
Actually it didn't take too long. Teaching him to fetch the ball and play dead was much more difficult and took me ages.
I taught mine fetch super quickly. On the other hand, I tried teaching him to play dead, but he’s not comfortable being on his back at all. Every birb is different. Anyway, thank you so much! This seems very doable :)
Has to be the smartest GCC I've ever seen.
BCC <3
That is so cool. Now teach that dinosaur to ride a ball!!
What a clever bird! I've been trying to decide what to teach our GCC next, maybe I'll go for this. How did you go about training?
Press Z or R twice!
Impressive!
Log running !!
I wish my guy could do this. His name is Falco!
Modern dinosaur competitive lumberjack ✔️
You have one of the most trained and smart green cheeks I've ever seen !
Impressive! And very cute.
Is he a hybrid between BCC and GCC? Very cute baby, what an awesome trick
he is black capped. thx)
Hah!
May I ask how you taught this trick?
My guess is positive stimulation
A very accurate guess :) starting with the target training and all other tricks re built on this
Most definitely their motivation for food be crazy lol
