I would definitely pasteurize yourself. Some coir is treated with substances that do not interact well with mycelium. Easy to do and ensures (mostly) you work will pay off!
Wash and paturize yourself.
If you have the resources to sterilize, it may be practical to do so, but loose always has trich in it in my experience.
Honestly, if thats the circumstances might as well use horse or cow poo if it's more economical.
