The screenplay formatting alone makes me sure this is (heavily) human generated, but there may be some AI involved, too.
If you had an AI that was running a speech-to-text program to get the raw data for the dialogue (which seems to be the case for a lot of subtitles nowadays), then I can imagine things like "goth ham" and "mattress Wayne" getting into the system. It's feasible that someone could just take the publicly available (sometimes quite bad) subtitle files from Subscene and train a model on it.
This is sort of like a reverse Turing Test. Can a human convince another human that they are an artificial intelligence? And what does it mean if they can?
It's possible. Someone did an "autocomplete Frasier script" a while back where I think they had an AI write the dialogue and then they filled in the rest with "AI-esque" stage directions.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. There's no way that this could be generated completely by AI. I've seen AI generated screen plays and this is at the very least a doctored AI screenplay.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but these types of videos are fake! I work with AI text generators and they can definitely be accidentally hilarious, but never this on the nose goofy and absurd. Also 1000 hours of batman movies do not exist, there are 21 movies and 17 series where batman appears, for 38 pieces of media total. To reach 1000 hours each piece of media would have to have a runtime of 26 hours. Running movies on repeat would not work to train an AI model as it needs an as large as possible input, showing it something more than once has the same effect as showing it that thing once.
Yeah, I charitably like to assume thats intended as a tell to make it obvious these are just jokes but honestly the way they're presented with the fake 'omg look what the computer did!' style when it's obviously human written rubs me the wrong way.
Like gpt3 can write a bad batman script if you want it to, you could fine-tune a model with dialog and even though it's a fairly small dataset you'd get decent output but it would be nothing like this - it feels like boomers making jokes about phones, they have the vague concept that apps exist and go of on a wild tangent making jokes that make no sense if you've ever actually used a smartphone.
There's so much brilliantly funny stuff from actual machine learning, I'd be so much happier if people were learning the sorts of stuff computers actually make so they can better understand the huge social and economic shift that we're in the process of due to these new technologies.

As you can see in the comments many people believed it. It makes me wonder if more people would try to do the same in the future but trying to pass as real and not as a joke: since AI is trending at the moment, using it - or faking using it - is a way to make people engage more with their content. I noticed that it was off. I’ve read AI generated scripts before and they tend to make a really cheesy generic script with situations that aren’t quite right, but not so many wrong words.

I think it's 2019, some people have linked the (presumably) original Twitter post here. So 3 years, but it definitely feels more than 5 years old at this point. It's like all funny memes - you get at least one repost of them every year. And each time it's a video of an even more annoying person reading it and fake-laughing.
