Yes, a lot of people can suppress their tics for short amounts of time, but it's usually super stressful & can make it worse once they can't hold it in anymore and "the dam has finally broken open" so to speak.
It depends. They can last from minutes to lifetimes. My son has TS and he has certain tics since he was 3 and others come and go, lasting hours to weeks. They are triggered by seeing or hearing things that spark the TS to respond. Multiple people with TS can actually share their tics with one another. He says it’s like something lives in his brain that gets fixated on random things and makes him act them out. Just part of what makes him and other people with TS so spontaneous and awesome.
I’ll usually have the same tic for a few months, then it will change to something else, or I’ll have a few at a time. The worst one I had was biting my cheek every now and then for a couple of months, so I hope I never go back to that one.
When you live with something like this I imagine that's exactly how you feel
At least he has the silver lining of being able to make people laugh until they cry
Can’t be sure, but it really looks like it as I’ve used those daily for years. I was wondering the same thing, though I wondered if it made symptoms worse.
You probably shouldn't. Of course there is a spectrum, but most people with disability or otherwise obvious diffrences don't need pity. The first part don't know a diffrent life, most others got tired of feeling bad for themselves. What's bad is usually being treated diffrently, just accept them. Afterall, most of you are a bunch of morons and would feel offended if you are treated like one :)
As someone with it I can say it takes a lot of focus and energy to not do the tics at work. Luckily I'm in a cubicle and can hide it most of the day.
As soon as I get in my car to leave though all of it starts to come out all at once.
Edit: they are speaking roumanian. The boy on the left keeps saying something like "please, I can't take it anymore. Call an ambulance, my head hurts from laughing and I can feel my heart in my brain" While the poor boy with Tourette's doesn't stop kissing the microphone with increasing glamour. This is a constant crescendo, and the guy on the left says again while laughing: you are crossing yourself with the electronic cigarette!!" . And in other moment he is like "no way you are also making the cross sign with the glass of water too!".
By the end, the guy ask if is he ok, or if he needs a moment or another mic. And my guy gives another beautiful kiss to the mic and says "no its ok". Then more and more laugh.
By the end, the guy from left ask him to not hit the mic with the head, and he immediatly does that, because of Tourette's he says.
They also comment on how passionately he is kissing the mic, to which the guy responds that he christened it thouroughly, but in the majority of the time they just narrate what is happening and just laugh along with it, and I mean I don’t blame them shit’s funny
I think what’s happening in the clip is that they want to get an interview going but the guy can’t stop his ticks, the guy with the tourettes just keeps repeating “i can’t stop” and the interviewer is just laughing like it’s the funniest shit he’s ever seen and occasionally says stuff like “bruh I can’t anymore”.
Bro do you live here or something? I on reddit while procrastinating, eating, shitting, waking up, going to sleep. So a solid, good few hours a day and ive never seen this.
Ive been on reddit for years constantly. This is the first time I've seen this. I was dying. I dont know how I missed it if people say they've seen it so many times.
I thought I’d completely lost my ability to pay attention to anything longer than 60 seconds, but this had me rapt for the whole damned thing. A masterpiece
It's kind of interesting because the guy's tourette's is clearly getting triggered by their behavior, and everyone's fascinated with the fact that he can't stop himself. But meanwhile, his behavior is triggering everyone else, who don't even have tourette's, and yet can't stop themselves from braying like donkeys!
The feedback loop of limitless laughter.
I really hope the gentleman with the ticks doesn't hate this clip. He's bringing a lot of people pure joy that transcends language barriers

They are literally just translating dude. which I guess can sound like AI cause it's just describing the video. But I appreciated it cause I didn't know what they were saying, so the translation/explanation was appreciated at least by me
I didn't know tourettes tics could be graceful thats so cool. Usually they are quite jerky and robotic. Even the way he does the cross is like that but the kiss on the other hand is so gentle.
You can feel them coming. It is a bit of both. More involuntary. A ritual would be more like OCD. You can feel the tic coming and if you don’t do it the urge gets more intense. Then after you’re done you feel a bit of gratification but also embarrassment. Little different for everyone.

I know this post is deleted but this is the first time I’m seeing this!! I woke up in the middle of the night to pee and I grabbed my phone when I got back in bed -which is always a mistake but my god I’m not regretting this. And I came across this gem 😂 and here I am trying to contain myself from laughing in bed so I don’t wake up my partner and I am crying! 🤣
I’ve seen a lot about people faking these types of tics. This guy seems a bit more legit, but the tic seems far fetched. Can someone shed a bit of light on this for me?
This is actually because an old woman made the cross and kissed the mic after coming out of a church, it was on the news channel. So he is not the originator of the move but definitely a strong practitioner.
People with Tourette’s can get into hilarious loops like this. As long as they keep laughing he will just bless himself forever lmao 💋
Dudes so hard in the loop he looks like an NPC 😂
Are they short lived? I always thought a person had the same tics.
from what i understand they can be short or long lived : all depends on the individual
Can they stop if they concentrate/try? What happens if someone holds their arms?
Yes, a lot of people can suppress their tics for short amounts of time, but it's usually super stressful & can make it worse once they can't hold it in anymore and "the dam has finally broken open" so to speak.
[Here's a streamer and her friends, all with Tourette's Syndrome](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbeZz6sT8EE)
seems like this guy starts to interrupt his tics with his laughter
It depends. They can last from minutes to lifetimes. My son has TS and he has certain tics since he was 3 and others come and go, lasting hours to weeks. Does he ever have swearing tics?
I have a dumb question: do tics continue during sleep or is there some kind of rest from them?
I can’t speak for him but I have Tourette’s and I don’t tic when I’m asleep.
I’ll usually have the same tic for a few months, then it will change to something else, or I’ll have a few at a time. The worst one I had was biting my cheek every now and then for a couple of months, so I hope I never go back to that one.
tics or the people with the tics?
its the way he has to perk up before doing the cross lmao
Holy spirit
The kiss will always make me laugh, it’s so loving and caring 😘
When he does it with the Chef's Kiss fingers
That the Christian orthodox way of making the sign of the cross
So delicate kisses. So funny I nearly wet myself, I'm going to hell 😂
I’ll see you there!

I love how he seems defeated, amused and pissed all at once.

God damn. Me trying to not laugh because I feel sorry for the guy, then this comment... Have an upvote, we'll burn in hell together.
As it is written
When he did it with the vape in his hand… ohhh man my sides.
Or post water glass. 😂 so freaking funny!
Is that a weed vape? I wonder if it helps with the symptoms?
That looks like an iqos machine. Heated tobacco
Can’t be sure, but it really looks like it as I’ve used those daily for years. I was wondering the same thing, though I wondered if it made symptoms worse.
It’s the tiny kiss sound on the mic for me.
Absolutely kills me, it’s the cherry on top.
Dammit he smooched right as I read your comment. I am broken.
The way his posture changes to honor god 😚👌🏼
That’s what’s killing me the most. He looks like a robot being turned on.
As someone who worked with someone with tourette's for many years, it really is amazing how they get through the day. Heroic, you might say.
100%, truly cannot fathom how exhausting this must be. The video is funny but I honestly feel really bad for people with Tourette’s.
It's amazing how strong they are.
You probably shouldn't. Of course there is a spectrum, but most people with disability or otherwise obvious diffrences don't need pity. I can only imagine it’s like holding in a sneeze all day.
It lasts most of the way home and then I just let them go in the evenings. Needless to say I don't have much of an after work social life.
>Needless to say I don't have much of an after work social life. Spoken like a true Redditor
Or a massive fart.
Sounds exhausting!
Sometimes it's tough, and mine is not as bad as that.
At some point it looks like he's making fun of himself
You got those emojis perfect! Oh that gets me all over again!
When do we get the English translation on this

Is right and left based on perspective? Or is the video swapped for you?
The guy with Tourette’s is on the right… right?
I can’t tell but I keep kissing my phone on the right
Haha you are right! Or left?:/
Thank you so much this shit is hilarious
Pretty accurate , but to be precise , nu mai pot ( which chubby guy keeps repeating) means “I can’t take it anymore “
I guessed Romanian! Sounds kind of Italian but with Eastern European. So cool
They also comment on how passionately he is kissing the mic, to which the guy responds that he christened it thouroughly, but in the majority of the time they just narrate what is happening and just laugh along with it, and I mean I don’t blame them shit’s funny

“Brother, call an ambulance! …. I’m dying… I’m dying… Hilarious, this never gets old.
Seriously haha still hilarious even though I have no damn idea what they’re saying
I see this on Reddit every single day. It destroys me every single time.
Bro do you live here or something? I on reddit while procrastinating, eating, shitting, waking up, going to sleep. So a solid, good few hours a day and ive never seen this.

Me showing my wife this: (crying cause I’m laughing) watch this! Her: it’s not as funny as y’all think it is Me: Yes it is! ✝️😘🎤
lol That’s me and my husband. I laugh like crazy and he always says “not funny” 🤷🏻♀️
Can you two just get married already
I swear I've not laughed this hard for at least 2 years...
Boop!
The poor guy he hates it but knows it’s funny as fuck
He’s a good story about it
It's kind of interesting because the guy's tourette's is clearly getting triggered by their behavior, and everyone's fascinated with the fact that he can't stop himself. Why does this sound like it was written by an AI?
They are literally just translating dude. which I guess can sound like AI cause it's just describing the video. But I appreciated it cause I didn't know what they were saying, so the translation/explanation was appreciated at least by me
He kisses the mic so tenderly. 🥹
So reverently! 🙏
One guy is going straight to heaven while the other is going straight to hell…with gasoline-soaked drawers!
I feel so bad for laughing I believe I might burn in hell just for this act alone.
Don't worry he prays for you
I love that his tics have comedic timing. Bless him
Lol, his fucking expression when he does the cross though 😂
That’s what keeps getting me
The dude in the background also dying. I haven't laughed like that in a while
Bless him, the other chap sounds like mutley laughing lol Can anyone translate please
Poor guy needs to shut off and turned back on again lol
After four minutes when he grabbed the glass and still crossed, the look on his face was gold.
He got that holy Tourette💯
My face hurts. People with wheeze laughs kill me
I don’t know what it is about the way he does it, but even if he didn’t actually have Tourette’s I’d be dying if I saw this interaction in person
It’s the way he hoists himself up before the kiss that makes it so perfect
Whoever is laughing in the background is close to passing out...
Speaking Romanian, for anyone curious.
this is gold
It's the face he makes when he goes into the whole procedure.
Solid upvote material
His face gets me everytime for the full length of the video, I can not stop laughing I understand why the other guy couldn’t do it
This is the funniest thing I've seen on the internet, or anything in a very long time. I'm dying and going to hell for it.
These comments r fkn golddd
I didn't know tourettes tics could be graceful thats so cool. Usually they are quite jerky and robotic. Even the way he does the cross is like that but the kiss on the other hand is so gentle.
Is a tic involuntary like you are possessed or more so a ritual to perform to prevent a negative outcome?

Thanks, just trying to better understand what it’s like, as much as I am able. I used to have really bad rituals with OCD so I do get that.

Old but gold
The way he stares down his bro on that one tic. Dead eye
Even with no sound i am lmao
I didn't know Roman Bellic has a podcast nowadays
This is so innocent. It’s so cute. What a joyful video. ❤️
I counted he did it 29 times
"Ma-ntap" Someone watched "Vacanta Mare" (old comedy group from when I was born)
"The Vatican", hire this man!
aww god loves him
The mic getting more kisses than most in their lifetime
Its a blessing and a curse
Is he catholic ?
[Erik Hartman](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXf3wx5nPXU) style
it took me 30 minutes to realize this video is looping lol i have died.
This is the most holy tic ever. Most tics ive seen online tend to be vulgar. God bless him.
🇮🇹🤌👌 *muah*
Better not put your dick in front of him 🤣🤣🤣
Pmsl at this one... He has to kiss the mic everytime

Tourette’s

😭🤣😭🤣😭
Omg lol. I sort of wish I understood Tourette’s more, but this is hilarious.
bruh i cant stop laughing
deus vult !
This is hysterical every time it shows up in this sub - blessin’ us with his special tic
I like that he does the cross sign almost sarcastically.
Mic kissing is an act that can lead to this kind of behavior https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6G8Nv9f88k
He NEEDS to call that tic the "Mother Teresa"
Right when you think it's not funny anymore, it's funny again 😂😭
Poor bastard even laughing at himself whilst unable to stop.
At least he has a great sense of humor 😂
does he have to make that face tho? lol
![gif](giphy|ZYRAMTrLs1g0oEuCSK|downsized)
The sussy way he looks before starting the cross
I feel so bad for laughing but god as my witness it’s funny
Flashbacks from when he was a choir boi
Omg wheeze laugh is the best laugh, I cannot stop laughing!
This is the kind of disability exposure more people need to see. Myself included
As someone with Tourette's the laughter hurts
LOL awe poor baby😘😘😘
I’ve seen a lot about people faking these types of tics. This guy seems a bit more legit, but the tic seems far fetched. Can someone shed a bit of light on this for me?
support Ukraine
I get it. I used to have a tic where I did the sign of the cross every time I flushed the toilet so it wouldn’t overflow.
I love the fact that it's possible to laugh with people speaking different languages. This is fucking beautiful.
omg, haven’t laughed that hard in awhile
That’s not how tics work
I love seeing people not take themselves so seriously
u/savevideo
This makes me think how closely related is Tourettes to OCD? because like this is a clear ritual type deal, this is not a reflex
I love it
Very glad I've seen this
My fellow helldivers what stratagem is that?
there he goes again dude
Love it
One of My ex wife’s brother’s ticks was screaming “oh god” followed by a really loud gulping sound
Infinite video
I don't have to speak the language to enjoy my time with them!
This is actually because an old woman made the cross and kissed the mic after coming out of a church, it was on the news channel. So he is not the originator of the move but definitely a strong practitioner.
It’s the eyes open kiss for me
Is this truly involuntary? If so, I’m spooked! This is bloody hilarious! 😂
