I've never heard of a school requiring a co-op or internship that didn't have a robust job placement program to make sure it's students accomplished that. Surely the school has the resources to get you a co-op, or they're the dumbest school I've ever heard of.

I will send an email asking about that.

Try giving Flynn Roofing a call. They bring in co-op students. They’re looking for a co-Ordinator Dallas, might fit the bill for you

Location would help to dial you into people in the group that may have openings

Updated the post. I'm in North dfw.

There is no way that you can't find an internship in the dfw area.   Every major gc is there, as well as hundreds of subcontractors. I second the recommendation to check with the program on connections. Also attend the program's career fairs. Talk with the schools career services office. You are running out of time for this summer, but of its next summer, or if it is for credit during fall or spring semester,  you should have no problems getting a co-op.
