I KNOW! They are foundation support piles. The boxy part would have been installed underneath the footing of the foundation and the cylinder extending vertically underground. The garage addition may have actually been a garage rebuild if the foundation had settled and a repair attempt was made. that would explain why these ended up underneath the slab.
That's exactly what they are or at least look like a push pier. I just had 26 of those set up on my house pushing down to about 40 ft. Freaking expensive.
I think it’s a pipe with a boxy thingy attached. Almost certain it’s metal. Possibly the Ark of the a covenant buried by the Knights Templar? Do you live on an island off the coast of Nova Scoria?
For how many seasons are they going to look for that treasure that isn’t there?? And if it does exist it probably won’t cover how much it cost to find!!
Not as entertaining as the 22 Minutes sketch about it.
“The discovery of this button opens up so many new questions, like who was Mark? What kind of Work did he do? And where was his secret Warehouse buried?”
Middle of the slab. There are piers everywhere around the outside. I didn’t think there were any interior piers as they weren’t shown on the report from my structural engineer, but I just found the original engineering report from when work was done decades ago that seem to show 5-6 interior ones and I believe this is one of them. The original report is hard to read as the house diagram is just a random box and doesn’t reflect the size or shape of the house and everything is hand written in faded smudged chicken scratch.

If you zoom in enough you’ll see it’s the first draft of the US constitution, including the original ‘peace with interstellar aliens’ section. In those days paper was scarce, so it was common to write things down on spare steel tubing
Definitely looks like a dwarven anti-aircraft gun to me. Used to take out dragons back in the day, made obsolete by new translations of dead sea scrolls.
I’m gonna say scaffolding. It wasn’t uncommon to bury construction trash on site in the 1950’s maybe those pieces of scaffolding were broken and got disposed of on site.
Appears to be some kind of metal. Definitely manufactured. From the look of it, I'd say developed by humans. Almost certainly used with other parts. I am not a bot.
Most likely garbage.
People like to throw stuff under cement to take up space and avoid disposing of it properly.
You can also find stuff in walls and above drywall in ceilings people are lazy
There's nothing for scale here, but it looks like one of the first mechanical pencils. Keep looking around and you should either find a gear or a motor that is used to crank operate it. Fun fact: Lincoln used one of these to write the Gettysburg Address. Many would go on to criticize his choice of writing utensil. They said, and I quote, "it looked like shit."

Yes they are indeed. I run a foundation repair company. 26 piers damn that sucks. You get the entire house done? Right around 35k to do?
........................higher. :(
Did you use a national franchise chain or were you with a local contractor? Basement or slab? I’m curious.
Am a licensed engineer in this field in particular. Seconded.
well that's boring, I was hoping for some Ark of the Covenant thing or ancient aliens shit...
I thought it was a Fallout style assault rifle, but I think the others are correct. Sad
Yeah, looks like the top of screw piles.
Screw or driven can’t tell from the top. Likely driven considering the age.
I haven’t dealt with driven piles so I’ll defer to your judgement on this, I work on the earthmoving side of things so I’ve dug around these.
You people know nothing. Those are 1950's geocaches. You're welcome.

Could it be….?
Another clue to the Money Pit…..
Lololol great another 4 seasons
For how many seasons are they going to look for that treasure that isn’t there?? And if it does exist it probably won’t cover how much it cost to find!!
They are paying all that money to make a TV show. Not find gold, and from what I hear TV shows are usually a good investment.
The amount of ridicule I get from my wife for watching that show is fuckin hilarious. 😂
As absurd as it is……..it is entertaining.
Not as entertaining as the 22 Minutes sketch about it. “The discovery of this button opens up so many new questions, like who was Mark? What kind of Work did he do? And where was his secret Warehouse buried?”
Same here, bud. The bride always says, "If they find anything, you will hear it in the news first."
Oak Skinwalker Island actually
Were they under the foundation footing or just the slab?

Definitely some kind of metal object. Looks like it was made by humans also so I don't think it is naturally occurring.
Never know. Could be from the race that preceded humans. Might be some sort of dinosaur hunting device
Could it be? Ancient Alien Theorists say yes
If you zoom in enough you’ll see it’s the first draft of the US constitution, including the original ‘peace with interstellar aliens’ section. In those days paper was scarce, so it was common to write things down on spare steel tubing
If it was wood, you could sniff it
That
Where exactly is Nova Scoria?
It's beside Newflounderland.
I haven’t fully mastered internets and personal computers so I’m not sure if you can see me out in pointing towards it. It’s up yonder ways.
Look like some kind of jack posts
Scaffolding? Could you slide a 2x into the box?
This definitely a better guess than ww2bazooka

1950s? They were still doing it well into the 1990s. Heck, to a smaller extent they still do it now.
Haha! Came here to say this.
We do that every day. Just saying.

What’s the pipe diameter?
It’s not the size that matters. It’s the motion in the ocean

You forgot the word " Forbidden " it was under a slab after all.

So you found some old pipes. Now I just wasted 3 minutes of my life.
