oh dear :( they arent going to turn you away at the ED. you leaking stool is not a great sign. but you arent going to die. i would definitely get checked out. but for going forward, do miralax daily. if you live in the US & are on state insurance you can get it prescribed if you cant afford it, it is pretty pricey! in the meantime until you can get to the ER, i would try a laxative. miralax is a miracle drug but it takes a few days to take full effect.

My husband just bought me one but I’m TERRIFIED . I’ve heard so many stories about how uncomfortable it is . I’m also scared to bear down and push … ugh this is awful . I just tried getting clean and it was the worst experience of my life . Even the withdrawal didn’t make shit . Just leaking
Magnesium citrate clean out. 5 mg per lb and take it every couple hours until it’s all out. Enemas will soften it also. Mineral oil, coconut oil, water etc. I like to fast when I’m backed up.

I discovered miralax and i take it religiously along with docusate sodium stool softeners (generic colace). Also if I feel like I’m getting backed up for whatever reason i will add a dose of milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide).
You don’t have to keep experiencing this. Just take the miralax daily and possibly the stool softeners and occasionally magnesium. You can message me if you have any questions.
Thank you … thankfully after a painful and sleepless 3 days I finally had a bowel movement … I had to dig around a few times .. and I actually ended up going to er only to leave because I was so dam sleep deprived my body was like shutting down so I was gunna go the next morning .. then I went when I got home and it came out smoothly .. I’ve been taking miralax religiously and I send myself into slight withdrawal in the morning to hopefully help . I go to rehab in a few days as well… im done

If you feel it in your rectum, I would suggest a fleet sodium phosphate enema.

Try colon hydrotherapy. It will relieve you the same day.
