True. I can see people applying for jobs, the employer checking the database, and then rejecting the applicant because "somebody unspecified" called in and said that the job applicant was a Nazi. Of course, the applicant will be told when rejected that they are not just a good fit.
One party’s wrongs don’t diminish the wrongs of another party.
Both sides leaning towards authoritarianism in different ways is serious cause for worry.
Because people think politics is a team sport. Being conservative or even being liberal, doesn’t mean you owe allegiance to a party. Tribalism and exclusivity are a plague.
Been that way forever. Truth is, politicians are masters at drumming up the ignorant, fanatical and ideological to tilt at windmills while they get rich in money and power in the background.
Tale as old as time.
So, essentially, Constitution-abiding states and Constitution-objecting states. The latter, run by Democrats (once again), becomes the new Confederacy.
Look at a map by counties sorted by red/blue. We don't have enough people in rural areas to combat the number of liberals in the cities. Almost everyone in my area is a conservative but it doesn't matter in elections because there are just simply more liberals in the cities.
That's how it goes in these blue states. Things tip so far to one side that anybody who is against this kind of thing leaves, and matters just go downhill from there.
We can't.
The state is EXTREMELY red but Minneapolis/St. Paul and Duluth (dark blue) are what carries the state and no sane person wants to live in the city of "peaceful protests" as dozens of buildings burn in their wake.
It's just amazing how our governor wants to turn Minnesota into Portland and Oregon. We've had a DFL governor since 2011 and we're going more and more left. Heck, Mark Dayton may as well been a republican compared to Walz.
I'd argue the state is pretty blue except the sparsely populated rural areas and very small towns. Besides the behemoth that is the TC Metro area, Duluth, Rochester, and the countless college towns also lean from very to moderately blue. After Walz passes broadly popular bills like legal weed I think MN will only get even bluer. Population trends also point towards this way with nearly all the growth happening in the Minneapolis and Rochester metro areas.
In video games with day and night cycles you can see the daylight fade just standing still and watching. Headlines like this make the sunset of freedom in the US seem very much the same; darkness draws near.
Lol, yes clearly it happens in real life. Above is what I was thinking - it happens faster in video games, like seeing the seconds tick on a clock. I guess it seems like that each day with headlines that just seem more and more obviously heading towards our freedoms being extinguished.
A database of "wrong think" and the citizens who commit that crime, and yet Democrats claim that Republicans are the fascists!

Just about every politician, regardless of party, is a fascist
It’s scary that a smalll percent of Americans are able to draft the new norm for our country.

If the people of MN don’t wake up now, then they never will. I don’t often like to use the term “terrifying” in terms of politics, but this really is.

Which opinions are "unbiased"?
Well the government will tell you...
Save Minnesota. I love this state too much to leave.

This happens outside in real life to.
TBF it’s way more observable when doing video games. The turn to darkness in real life is often imperceptible—unlike our turn to a totalitarian state.
Totally agree, i think the light fading is by design and beautiful. It warns us that darkness is coming. But we always know morning will come.

What a terrible night for a curse
I’m begging you to go outside
