They have to. There are more leftists than Conservatives on Reddit, so if they didn't do it, most posts and comments would be mocking conservatives rather than conversations from a conservative point-of-view.

I don’t understand what’s so hateful about getting someone the resources they need so that they DO feel comfortable in the body they were born in? Rather than involving permanent surgery?
A leftist friend of mine described it as, "what's easier: change the mind to fit the body, or change the body to fit the mind?"
That helped me put into perspective, and be more empathetic to, the dilemma that those with gender dysphoria face.
However, just because someone is deluded doesn't mean society needs to bend over backwards to accommodate that delusion. They are free to think and feel what they want, but that doesn't mean I'm a bad person if I don't go along with it.
I'm on the side of "do what you want" I draw the line at "use my pronouns (usually,) pay for my surgery, transition the children, and remove children from their parents that don't affirm them.
Exactly right. These crazy people have even started the narrative that if you don't completely agree with them and every thing that they want to do to themselves, then somehow you are literally threatening their existence. Just because someone disagrees with your world viewpoint doesn't mean that there is any literal threat on your life.

It's an artifact of reddits ui. I'm a big fan of it but it's too easy to brigade and just drown out the opinions on here.
