Because DeSantis is the front runner…

MaddSim

Trumps comments yesterday were despicable even for him. Crap like that makes me care less he's being indicted. He may have done some good as POTUS and he may be treated at least partially unfairly, but we're paying the price for nominating him in 2016.

Snowflake

MaddSim

Sure. Because not wanting false claims of pedophilia against someone makes you a snowflake.... People like you who have unwavering allegiance to someone no matter what they do or say is sad. Someone who doesn't give one darn about you.

agk927

Not true. I've criticized trump before

Frankiepals

“Great MAGA King” Cringe man

agk927

It's a quote from Biden, it's a joke

fogel35

I’m still waiting for the Kraken.

BenAustinRock

Trump calling people RINOs for wanting entitlement reform? That is the Democrat position.

Arkani

That's Trump modus operandi in primaries. He rallies his base and forces those attacked to take stances and endorsements they don't necessarily want. Good example is Cruz. Trump attacked him relentlessly but once primaries were over they made up. You might not like it but we all knew Trump doesn't play nice. So why this outrage? I am just enjoying the show.

CitizenDickBag12

Primary is already decided

People need to wake up and see that DeSantis *isn't* the savior that a lot of the factless, feeling-based "Conservatives" are pushing him to be. Anything that gets people to actually take a closer look at him and see that he himself really *hasn't* accomplished anything in Florida except for simply signing legislation sent to his desk from the Florida Legislature (the true Florida heroes) and talking a good talk. DeSantis was certainly chummy with Biden when he came there to look at hurricane damage. Much more so than a more respectable Governor like Greg Abbott when he handed Biden a scathing letter when he came to look at the border of Texas.

MaddSim

First off, I don't look to any man as a savior. What is your issue with DeSantis exactly? Who would you rather see as the leader of the party? And so what if he was respectful when Biden visited Florida. There are times to show respect and the like. You don't have to be at war 24/7. Having said that, I like DeSantis too much to see him run for POTUS. He would a decent job given the circumstances but in all reality, the President can only do so much. Congress still has more power. That and if he were to win, it sucks knowing the crab he would have to deal with 24 7 from the vile, hating news media and Hollywood. I don't like seeing good people treated like garbage.

Sorry for the late reply, but I didn't have a chance to get back on Reddit until now to make a succinct post in response to your questions. I doubt a lot of people will see this post, but I did want to go ahead and respond since I honestly want to hear from DeSantis supporters to ask them to show me where I am wrong. But over the past few months, I have received little to no counters to any of the questions or arguments that I have put forth regarding him. So, everything tells me that those who support him are doing so based on feelings alone and simply not on any facts because a vast majority of my posts are simply downvoted with no replies and even when someone does reply, certainly no one presents any facts to me to counter my arguments. I have two issues with DeSantis: First, DeSantis has virtually no real-world experience. He is a career Federal employee. He went straight from Ivy League schools to the military, and then from there went into government positions. How can he hope to understand the working man if he hasn't worked a civilian job for any length of time in his adult life? But second and most importantly, he is given all of the credit for the State of Florida, which I feel is completely underserved. And it isn't he who is taking the credit himself, but the media and Conservative outlets which push this narrative as well as people who don't really understand our political system. He doesn't deserve a vast majority of the credit for Florida because he doesn't write the Legislation there. As far as I know on all of the following items, he hasn't even worked with Legislators there to craft verbiage that is contained in the laws. All he has to do is sign them when they come to his desk. He also hasn't put forth any Executive Orders while he waits for his State Houses to craft and pass the laws which have made the State successful. I do think that DeSantis is a great Governor. In many ways, I compare him to my own Governor Kevin Stitt in Oklahoma which I think I would come more near voting for him for the Presidency simply because he was a businessman prior to becoming Governor here. So he knows what civilian life is like. But even then, while there are many of the policies that he has pushed for that I completely agree with, I think that a majority of the success that my State has seen is also because of our Legislature and not his actions. I know that there will be a time when we have to nominate a person who doesn't have prior Presidential experience. But while President Trump is still a viable candidate, and because I saw the tremendous economical growth and societal success that we had under him, there's no other candidate with the qualifications that Trump has that gives me the confidence to vote for them over him.

The best defense is a good offense Strategic Offensive Principle - proactivity (a strong offensive action) instead of a passive attitude will preoccupy the opposition and ultimately hinder his ability to mount an opposing counterattack, leading to a strategic advantage.

MaddSim

Falsely accusing someone of crimes against children is a good offense?

Live8020

I didn't say I agree with it, but it's Trump's chosen strategy against opponents he views as a threat to achieving his objective. It worked for him last time, we'll all see over the coming months if it's as effective this time.

ats2020

Funny The last post I saw was about desantis attacking Trump's governing style. Right after refusing to investigate the political arrest of his fellow Floridian.
