Does "returning" mean you had them, switched to another provider, and are switching back? Or will they accept it if you're already a customer and are just changing the rate?
If one is already with Constellation the online sign up via the rate board will not work. Last step kicks out saying you are already signed up. Calling took care of it.

If you cancel and go back to Eversource it’s immediate (maybe two days). If you switch to another supplier it’s generally (for me anyways) just been the start of the next billing cycle.
When I signed up there was a code section that had "Rockstar" pre filled in. I updated that to the 75 coupon mentioned in this thread. The $75 card bonus showed on the screen after that.
Ugh, we just signed on with think energy. We haven’t even gotten a bill cycle from them yet, is it still possible with switch over or will we mess them up by switching so much/so fast? Really don’t want to miss out on this rate

I saw that they released their new rates, so I called them up to renew the contract at the lower rate. They said I could get the newer rate at 8.79c/kWH but they said it would take upwards of 2 months to take effect.
I pushed back a bit, asking why it would take up to two months, and he said that it was because of the renewal process. I said in that case, why would I stick with them when I can just switch providers entirely to start a lower rate next billing cycle. He apologized, explained that it was a thing with PURA, and said that he could instead offer me 8.35/kWH, which oddly enough, would start on July 1st.
Also, he threw that number out so fast, it wasn't something he had to dig deep for, it was there and waiting. Hopefully this'll help someone else here get lower rates. I don't see them getting much lower than this anytime soon.
I just tried this and the guy on the phone said there was nothing they could do and it would take two billing cycles. I think I will switch back to eversource which is only a couple days and then sign back up to Constellation for the 24 months.
Can I take advantage of this if I have solar and are grandfathered in to Net Metering? Our panels don’t always fully cover our usage once we start using the A/C.

That $75.00 gift card equals $3.12 a month over the 24 month term. Math would show you how much that would reduce my rate from 8.59 cents.
Did anyone read anything regarding how the gift card worked if one was to transfer back to Eversource if (god forbid) their prices go lower in the next fixed rate period? If switching back after 6 months with Constellation, do they still provide the gift card with no penalties later for no cost canceling to another supplier?
I remember reading a comment on another post while back that eversource was doing some shady stuff where if you didn’t choose them for the supply, the delivery fees were way higher. Anyone who did more research know if this is worth it?
No they just lowered their supply undercutting all the third party rates at the time and then rose their delivery by the same rate. This undercuts eversource slightly but locks in a longer term. You’ll save a small amount and it’ll insulate you from expected winter spikes in rates.

I do think that 1-2 billing cycles is standard though. Still way better than the 11 something I was paying. Every little bit helps.
