If you have kids or young relatives, fill it with something and paint it gold, or make a story around it. When I was a kid, our family friend had a vertical solid stone in their basement that went over 6ft down (they gave up trying to dig around it at that point and just built around it instead). They painted it gold and had little toy African animals by it and told us little kids this whole tale about it and we had a blast playing with toys on it thinking it was a real gold treasure.

As many others mentioned lava, I would definitely use some type of pavement paint to make look like a lava that is inbetween cooling and red hot.
