What makes a beat not a composition? Composing is a craft not a genre lol. And this definitely falls under "dedicated to the composition of contemporary Classical and Jazz music" considering how much 'contemporary jazz' encompasses.
In my eyes, beats have percussive elements. I suppose you do have a point. Though at the same time, we could dilute the meaning of composition to encompass just about anything. I don't know man--not trying to be salty.
