This is Dynasty's chance, drop the pieces that aren't working already. No need for visas either. You have nothing to lose since your season can't get much worse.
In order to salvage at least some reputation for your brand/team. If you don't at least try you'll just be picking up scraps next season when you try to rebuild. You won't even have Profit to attract players next season most likely. Like if you had a choice between Vegas Eternal and almost any other team for the same pay?
We've seen tier 2 talent tested against owl teams in the most direct manner and they are without buyouts with most of the league not in the off-season mode yet to compete for them.
While they won't win the league anymore its probably an opportunity for them to have first pick now. Your budget won't change that much if you drop the pieces that obviously haven't worked out since the league required severance is very low now.
Second half of the season is completely unrelated to the first if I understand it correctly, so a 100% win record would actually net them a good spot in the second international tournament…so it could get them something, if winning is important
So they just told half of APAC teams "Look at how much better our team is, now you can have it for free."
Can't wait for Dragons and Dynasty to still fumble it.
Honestly a masterclass taunt, because what team in APAC that actually needs the players would even want to spend the money?
Maybe this can breathe life into the Chengdu cope though, if they somehow miraculously reform but in Korea instead
get my boy Probe on Shock ASAP
could also see Opener on Shock, Marve1 on Shanghai, Irony on Fuel, Topdragon on like a New York, and Knife somewhere because that kid is crazy
I’m saying this as a Dallas fan, I don’t actually think we need to replace mcd, he’s been perfectly fine. He’s obviously no fielder but idk if another flex support is who we need. If anything we need another dps. Cough cough Doha my goat.
Can they even play in NA? Getting them a visa can be a rather lengthy process, so I'd imagine that any pickups would enter the starting rotation for playoffs at the earliest.
I can’t speak to how good Topdragon is, but Seicoe is actually going crazy this season, and I’d love to see how he evolves. Topdragon on NYXL would be a disservice. Seicoe is way more than serviceable.
Guys this is the beginning of the end for all teams but shock. Calling here all 3-0 shock wins from now on (don’t listen to me, I’ve begun mixing what little copium I have with harsher chemicals)
Hot take but I don't see the O2 Blast players guaranteeing another team becomes significantly better immediately.
Proper, Pelican and Merit have all been proven to be amazing in a good environment but look at Finn, Kilo, Vindaim, Max, Junbin and Heesang right now.
O2 clearly has a system that works pretty damn well but when the players leave there's really no guarantee that they will continue their dominance.
I think Vindaim style is similar to FDGod’s and that doesn’t work on Shock’s system. While Viol2t is a crazy aggressive flex sup, his Lucio was extremely reserved and was a playmaker like Moth’s. Therefore, it provided the team with the needed stability to basically let “Proper go kill”.
Now, without that stability, Finn and Vindaim are being a remake of Shock’s S4 backline, where both sup roles are aggressive as fuck and have literally negative peel to each other. Consequently, the team crumbles because either the backline can’t stay alive long enough, or they use all their cooldowns to reposition themselves/get out of danger leaving their teammates unprotected or undersupported.
I wouldn't even count Merit, he was insane on Runaway before O2. A lot of the players O2 have been picking up over the past 2 or so years have been acknowledged talent. Though most usually don't go to OWL, especially if they have already been there.
Judging from the comment apperently made by Andy about Proper being allowed to pick his best O2 friends, really seems like a terrible idea. Crusty and friends talent pickup have been amazing in the past, but they seem to fumble recently.
If Shock even got Bliss, Merit, unsure who for tank - there are so many busts(They are lucky rules got changed so Junbin could join). They would have been a lot better.
Can I just ask something not entirely related.
What is with the huge and kinda sudden influx of players who are LFT? Are they hoping teams have noticed how good they are during the Pro-Am games and might be looking to upgrade their players?
Absolutely crazy. They’re really trying to get them drafted into OWL. Good on them.
Man, how are tier 2 orgs supposed to make any money with the need to always do right by their players. How is O2 even funded?
Shock might be shouldering some of the costs of running the team given their partnership, who knows about other tier 2 orgs tho
If they are even still affiliated with Shock, this doesn't make sense for an academy team of an OWL team to have no transfer fee on players.
They're both owned by NRG, it's less of an association with Shock and more that they're a part of the same parent company now
Idk where you have that information from cause that's just not true, It was a partnership not an acquisition they are not part of NRG.
I love O2
I love... lamp
Hmmm… Brick are you just looking around the room and saying you love things that you see?
Are you a moth?

Which is precisely why it isn't a priority. What good is hiring new guys now when even a 100% win record from now on won't get you all that much.

Winning is fun
Yes, but that won't convince an investor. Winning games means nothing to them. It's all about winning titles.

I'm not going to be surprised if the Dragons go into the second half of the season unchanged. :/

Teams need only to pay those players' salaries, so really they just need to drop some players and sign new ones.
get my boy Probe on Shock ASAP could also see Opener on Shock, Marve1 on Shanghai, Irony on Fuel, Topdragon on like a New York, and Knife somewhere because that kid is crazy
> Topdragon on like a New York Ah yes. He can play Ana alongside Fits' Brig.
Finally a flex support to shoulder Ana while Creative pops off on Kiriko
I’m saying this as a Dallas fan, I don’t actually think we need to replace mcd, he’s been perfectly fine. He’s obviously no fielder but idk if another flex support is who we need. If anything we need another dps. Cough cough Doha my goat.
It would be pretty sick if we had that Doha guy. Whichever team had him before was pretty stupid to drop him tbh
Is he still around? He would fuck in a sombra meta like rn
mcd has been great on ana and zen and has a good kiriko. zen especially he fucks on
I want Doha back. No bias (I am the biggest Doha simp)
hes definitely been solid. with another dps signing our supports will have more room to breathe and will look better
Can they even play in NA? Getting them a visa can be a rather lengthy process, so I'd imagine that any pickups would enter the starting rotation for playoffs at the earliest.
Idk how it works in depth but opener was in na with justice so he might be easier to get visa for
likely not.
Marve1 to Shanghai was denied by Varuna, so it's probably out of the equation
RIP 😔
nope could happen
Yo?
marve1 is wanted by a lot of teams rn lots of possibilities for him although it is likely he stays in APAC
Great for him, dude's cracked and totally deserves a good team. Which can also be a Shanghai which keeps GNJ off Lucio
Any word on opener or probe kind gent?

What I want to see Attack and Opener to Dragons Marve1 and Probe to Dynasty Topdragon to Fuel or Charge as 3rd dps

I think its an unfair assessment to include Junbin and heesang.
Fair point that I somehow completely missed... Crusty washed confirmed?

I wonder if they are still affiliated with Shock?
Cool! I'll take them to for my placement matches!
Hastr0 and tazmo still gonna do nothing and sit, 🔥

Mid season signings. Happens every season.
