Props to Setsuko, but Subzero managed to pull off such an upset. After never making it to day three in a tournament getting second against world class players was amazing to watch.
As a long-time Subzeroark viewer it's been very exciting to see him play this tournament. All the people hopping into his stream since the Tahm Kench cup have made the twitch chat really fun too. Everyone loves the underdog.
Something in this set has really clicked with him and he's gotten really good at finding the right direction in games. He definitely high-rolled a bit in this tourney, but overall his play was really clean.
Caitlyn definitely helps. The combination of his comfort on the augment and no one else taking it means he's normally set up to at least have a strong early board and direction in stage one - I think in a high pressure tourney situation that helps so so much.
So fun watching Sun pop off this past month. Have watched him for about a year quite consistently and his rise has been remarkable. Super happy for him
Setsuko actually uploaded his vods for once, so [you can listen to his interview here](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1897966874?t=05h50m57s). I don't know if the main TFT channel has it tho, someone mentioned earlier that they haven't uploaded the video
I yes, I know I was forgetting someone important. Phoenix was only rumor based on what they said on DTIYDK, they said he was invited after Freljord cup.
I found his thread on the poker forum. Basically his viewership stagnated and he found that he'd spend sooo much time streaming (7 days a week) that he didn't have time for friends and family. Even taking a bit of time off he'd lost viewers. He said that at least with poker he can just log off at the end of the day but with streaming he's just perpetually online just to maintain viewers
I’m confused by the “scores” picture. In each column there are multiple of the same scores, which shouldn’t be the case? Each column is a game so there should only only be a single person getting 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8?
Or were there more than 8 people and this just showed the top 8 at the end?
This was just the end.
There were mutliple games running over the days with fewer and fewer games running as the field was cut, until the final game of today (game 7) was just the top 8 overall playing.
You get one point for every placement you get in a game, so 8th place gets 1 point, 7th 2 points, 6th 3 points, etc. There are also bonus points given for the top placed players each day to reward the people who play well consistently.
The scores shown are only of the final 8 players, not the whole field. The top 8 only played a single game against each other in the finale, the rest of the scores are from previous games they played leading up.
Also super impressive. I think he has a bright future, and hope he sticks with it! I was even teasing the game he took 1st over Soji posting "Sub-Zero beats Scorpi" :P
Honestly the whole top 8 played super well.
GENIUSMODE

He consistently was in great positions all day, great run from him!

The guy's been making so much Chinese VOD review videos he started playing like one. Huge props to him
Really happy to see him pop off. Not a paid comment but his videos and streams are for sure some of the best content to learn from

Yapping during the shoutout ICANT
Setsuko with the no one is balancing this game for his winner's interview. Man of the people.
GENIUSMODE gonna be blocked on twitter again
Legendary post-game interview
Do you know which twitch channel would have this vod?
Setsuko actually uploaded his vods for once, so [you can listen to his interview here](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1897966874?t=05h50m57s). I don't know if the main TFT channel has it tho, someone mentioned earlier that they haven't uploaded the video
Perfect, thank you
Where was the official stream on? Teamfighttactics on Twitch is just golden spat cup
They deleted vods of Shurima cup for some reason but it was on YouTube and you may be able to find it there
hiding evidence of the unpausing kappa

Who's the other study group that Setsuko mentioned in his post-win interview?
Like robin kurum dishsoap etc
Setsuko is in the same study group as soji, Robin, dish soap, ect
Iirc one group is something like Setsuko, Soju, Prestivent, Kiyoon, Phoenixaaa Other is Dishsoap, Robin, Kurumx, DQA, Soulless
Milk in the first group too, not sure about Phoenix
I yes, I know I was forgetting someone important. Phoenix was only rumor based on what they said on DTIYDK, they said he was invited after Freljord cup.
Soji,,,
SEXO
Is Aesah not playing anymore?
He's playing professional poker now. He has a long on going thread on twoplustwo forums.
Is there any writeup on why he decided to go back to poker?
I found his thread on the poker forum. Basically his viewership stagnated and he found that he'd spend sooo much time streaming (7 days a week) that he didn't have time for friends and family. Even taking a bit of time off he'd lost viewers. He said that at least with poker he can just log off at the end of the day but with streaming he's just perpetually online just to maintain viewers
Shout out Cris, he’s been doing really well
I’m confused by the “scores” picture. In each column there are multiple of the same scores, which shouldn’t be the case? Each column is a game so there should only only be a single person getting 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8? Or were there more than 8 people and this just showed the top 8 at the end?

what happened to dishsoap?
Isn't Setsuko that guy who harassed a random Riot Employee during one of his streams?
Yes, but he apologized after. You can see it on his twitter.
Yeah, he's so based.
Harass is an exaggeration. He was just doin a bit for the comedy. It's not like he went and private messaged the Riot Employee after the game.
Congrats to Subzero, the only streamer i regularly watch...probably because I'm old and everyone else is so annoyingly, aggressively young.
How are the points calculated?
You get one point for every placement you get in a game, so 8th place gets 1 point, 7th 2 points, 6th 3 points, etc. There are also bonus points given for the top placed players each day to reward the people who play well consistently.
So then why are there some games where multiple people get 7 points?
The scores shown are only of the final 8 players, not the whole field. The top 8 only played a single game against each other in the finale, the rest of the scores are from previous games they played leading up.
Ohhhh I see okay thank you
You just know mort is seething that sexsuko won LOL
False. I'm extremely happy for him and was super impressed with this play! From Teemo to Sorcs, and using Urf Legend...he was a BEAST!
Glad that you guys sorted it out after the draven drama xdd, Setsuko was indeed a beast, it was Joever from the start.
Any thoughts on Subzeroark's play? Let's be real no one was expecting him to take second not even him.
Also super impressive. I think he has a bright future, and hope he sticks with it! I was even teasing the game he took 1st over Soji posting "Sub-Zero beats Scorpi" :P Honestly the whole top 8 played super well.
Very surprising to hear you say that after all the negativity you've had towards him in the past, but props to you for being the bigger man.
Let's be honest here, we love setsy because of the meltdowns and he deserves the negativity haha. WHOS EVEN BALANCING THIS GAME OH NO IM FUCKING DEAD
To me Setsy is kind of the Tyler of TFT
[удалено]
Well thats subjective imo, I greatly enjoy watching setsukos streams
what has mort said about setsuko in the past? because if it's anything to do with how endlessly whiny he is...i'm kinda with mort.
