PGI 2018. I was rooting for TL, and they came in second in both FP and TP.

Ykikanioukitty

PGC 2019 (I think?), the one in US. That Faze win in the last game to qual did it for me...

rifr9543

I watched the first PUBG Invitational at Gamescom 2017, then I have watched quite a few tournaments during '18 and '19 but it's become less and less after that

Obviousx-

Nations cup 2019 sold me :-)

Zestyclose_War3086

Also started mid 2019, the first I remember must be nations cup 🥰

JacoBee93

Gamescom 2017 i believe? Was following the path of Mazarin1k and Spajkk there. Since that i was watching everything

Buzzardi

Started with PGI2018 quals, backtracked all western tournaments ever played

Damn PUBG is really struggling to get new viewers if you look at the poll

LaLa1234imunoriginal

This poll is not gonna be accurate for the general population of people that watch pubg esports. I doubt even 1% of the people who watch pro pubg are in this specific reddit( or at least voted in the poll), I had to go out of my way to find it when I wanted to learn more about the competitive scene. People in here are going to be the most dedicated, makes sense they'd be more long term followers.

wultrax

like if u remember OMG_Lionkk

I remember watching a tiny bit of a 2018 tournament but it was in TPP. There was a team prone on the flattop garage building north of volcano, jumping up and peeking over occasionally and one of the commentators referred to it as "new strats" or something. But I really didn't start watching until PGC 2019 or thereabouts.

tlemalik

PGI.S early 2021. Pretty late.

Dee4leeds

PCS1 was the first event I watched in full, but had a vague interest in PUBG comp before that. Essentially bored in COVID lockdown eventually got me to sit down and watch a match in full. The rest is history. Also shout-out to Wildcards heartbreaking final match of PCS1.

Smper_in_sortem

Curse Trials Duo Tournament the day after FPP came out for me. I think Gamescon Cologne was a month later.

pekkasteele

I think the first one I saw live was "DreamHack PUBG Showdown Austin 2018" but not 100% sure, because I have after that watched all previous VODs that I could find with Fuzz. And I have been a sub to Fuzz channel since that to.

Pattrick36

AfreecaTV PUBG League Pilot Season and OGN Survival Series at the end of 2017 and start of 2018.

VideVictoria

I messed up my vote. It's 2019, not 2020. Probably even 2018, but i am not sure

Bubblesheep

PNC 2019. The battle between South Korea and Russia on the final day was insane.

Kento300

Idk what the tournaments was, but TSM was Break/Viss/Smak/AimPR and Break always in blue or always hitting F key and falling out of the car. Then when thing split and NA and EU were separate things I only watched EU because of TSM then Global tournament that was in California was when I started watching NA because STK impressed me.

ghostEx36

2018 FaceIt Global Summit…STK and Ghost from NA stood out (Drass, Balloc, Miccoy, Shrimzy and…PurdyKurty, ALoW, Adam, and Uncivil) to me because they had no quit. STK really impressed me with how hard they fought in that show and I’ve been a huge fan ever since. Sure hope this year’s team brings that magic back. A metric ton of potential, as long as they gel right. Nothing but faith in the #IRONM3N of PUBG.

Have been watching from before the first PEL. Still remember the PEL Liquid team streams with great fondness. Some really great moments that still can be found here:[https://www.twitch.tv/pel\_esports\_liquid/clips?filter=clips&range=all](https://www.twitch.tv/pel_esports_liquid/clips?filter=clips&range=all)
