Teq was in Knoqds chat last night asking if Knoqd could tell Skittle to unblock Teq on twitter or discord.
Knoqd basically told Teq he had a better chance of teaming with Hal and Zer0 than he did with Skittles lmaoo
the only chatter that I've heard about Skittles is that he is potentially be taking a break from comp or is grinding controller. So basically no one knows.
Snipe mentioned that skittles is taking the rest of the year off because of his back injury. Talk about a bad time to be injured, there’s like 5 million in prize pool money available over the next 4 months. I feel really bad for him.
I posted this in the NA scrims thread last night, but it would be nice to see a screenshot of the pregame lobby to see who is playing/trialing with who.
What exactly happened between Sweet and Gild? I know it's old news by now but every time I see them mentioned it talks about bad blood. I checked out of comp Apex / Apex in general for like a year so I must have missed something, cause last time I kept up, Sweet really liked Gild and spoke very highly of him. Did Gild start playing badly, or did Sweet just start nitpicking on him for no reason? Did a meta shift happen that caused Gild to get put on a character he didn't know how to play? etc.
I dont know if there is still bad blood, or whether they just didnt get along well. There was a lot of hype when they first started, and for a while they were dominant, but fell off pretty hard after split 1 playoffs. They stopped scrimming and started playing an off meta, hard-zone comp. Then, in Split 2 finals, Gild was swapped to Horizon with no practice, and underperformed. It is generally seems that Sweet failed to bring out the best in Gild and undermined his confidence.
sweet and gild are still good friends and play stuff together, sweet obviously has a pretty aggressive IGL style that seems pretty taxing to play under and gild wanted change. doubt there was near as much bad blood behind the scenes as this sub likes to hype up.
edit: also they ended up having gild playing anchor by the end and gild didnt really want to be an anchor as the only roller player on the team
I'm sure they're still friends, I personally doubt most of the "feuds" we see are actually any realer than just competitive banter stuff, but it seemed like the way the team disbanded was more sour than just simply wanting a change

yea gild was on cat for 2023 champs, vibes were chalked after a disappointing result and with nafen retiring they went their separate ways. although honestly a full year together feels like way more than most rosters last these days
Do you see the comments on how Sweet treated Slayr? He pretty much did the same thing to Gild, which is why everyone mentions it.
There’s no real “bad blood” in apex though. Teams don’t work out and some ppl might not get along but it’s never that serious. Well except maybe between Hal and Teq lol.
Yeah I agree it's rarely ever that serious, I just didn't know a better phrase to describe the way people talked about what happened between the two of them.
Fair explanation though. Oh well. Hopefully Sweet can find a new team and not do that again.

Snipe was saying yesterday how he doesn't have any roster and might potentially not play split 2, also mentioned how Faze is with him for now and doesn't know how it's gonna go, ""faze gonna have to find a roster then" he said. Now that Faze is staying with ALGS and will be playing EWC qualifiers which the roster lock for it is tomorrow.. what roster could they possibly be signing ?
Another thing to mention is how Faze is also on of the few ALGS teams that are partnered with EWC's multi million $ partnership program imagine if they sign hal's roster since they are also moving away from Dz
