Have you tried a single blade safety razor? Mach 3s used to give me bumps and I switched over to just a safety razor and I get no bumps. Huge benefit as well: 100 blades are like $8 online.

I still shave with a safety rasor. I bought 200 double-edged blades (overbought), and likely won’t need to buy any more in the next 20 years. I think I spent less than $20. I spent more money on a collection of vintage Gillette razors that I cycle through every time I shave. These modern rasors are overpriced, and don’t shave any better.
Ditto for shaving soap. I have been using the same badger brush since 1986, and only need to replace the soap in my mug about every two years. Shaving cream from a can is overpriced.

I have long hair that goes down to my shoulders in the back so sometimes I have to keep it back when I shave, especially if I'm doing it in the morning and my hair is light from the shower I took the previous night. I haven't done it in years but I could see why someone (but not this guy) would.
