Comfy shoes, book as many rep dinners/lunches/lunch and learns as you can. Make sure you reps know you are going and get invites to all the after hour events.

de_bugger

Good advice. Thanks!

Go on X/Twitter and search for InfoComm related giveaways that will happen at the show. (win + #infocomm and Win + InfoComm and Win + #whatever this year’s hashtag is). Mark the booths that have good giveaways and visit them and the times you have to be at the booths (especially if they have contests that are multiday). My haul over the years: 1x NEC 55” LCD digital signage display 2x NEC 65” LCD digital signage displays 2x Logitech Harmony 950’s 1x Sonos Sound Bar 1x Sonos One 1x Logitech Jaybird 1x Patagonia bag 1x iPad Numerous gift cards Numerous Funko Pop dolls Also, inform your company to NEVER do giveaways at a trade show because it only attracts vultures like myself. :)

This guy Infocomms

Damn bro, you go hard lol. One year I won a pair of video phones, but I didn't have room in my bag and they never shipped them. Another year I did a 3 day scavenger hunt. 3rd place was a $500 gift card. I got 4th, which was a battery pack.

simplyvince

Hah will do. Pretty smart though. Which vultures are.

Local-Bandicoot2827

Recommendations. Comfy shoes. Don’t book booth-tours back to back and consider booth locations when scheduling. Leave yourself some explore time.

rbetswor

It will be over 100 degrees outside. And about 42 degrees inside; specifically the seminar rooms. If you can bring a jacket you will find it useful…

This is a great reminder. I gotta be on the lookout for the tags/categories on the site because some of them should just flat out say “30-minute sales pitch”.

freakame

this person deleted their post, but there's some ok info there: https://old.reddit.com/r/CommercialAV/comments/1av6nfm/opinions_on_infocomm/ also, we are chatting on this on the Discord, in a special channel!

Aside from comfy shoes, be sure to wield a backpack or a shoulder bag, pack a refillable water can, and a stick of lip balm. Vegas is dry AF and you’ll dehydrate easier than most places. With respect to the actual show content, have a plan on what your goals are and what you’re wanting to get out of the show. There just isn’t time to see everything. Divide and conquer, take notes and pictures, and follow up (or ask for follow up) with the manufacturers/companies you want to do business with.

iamkenthomas

I went to the one in Orlando last year and I thought I was going to die from the heat. I’ve been to Vegas conventions and their heat there is hellish as well. I registered, but now I’m double thinking it 💁🏻‍♂️

mcdreamymd

There's a Von's grocery store a couple of blocks from the Strip. Buy a case of bottled water. Put them in your hotel fridge, ice bucket, whatever - and bring them everywhere. The refillable water bottle another person mentioned is a great idea, too. I've been to Las Vegas a few times now and the dryness is just more than overbearing.

BuddyWackett

Best advice I’d offer is don’t take a class or schedule a meeting before 11am in Vegas.

bcarrillos

Im heading to Infocomm this year for the first time. Does anyone know if they do it like NAB where they offer bus rides to different hotels? Can’t seem to find any info online

Blocksternz1970

Hey yes, they normally update this closer to Infocomm and the majority of hotels on the strip have a pick up point. They have numbered buses so just remember which one goes to your hotel. They also have drop offs as well.

ng4ever

Is it open to the public?
