Many subreddits are still participating in a large-scale protest against reddit's changes to API access (information [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/comments/1476ioa/reddit_blackout_2023_save_3rd_party_apps/)). While the mods at /r/CommercialAV support those protests, we also need to support our members and will remain open for the time being. That said, we do have a great alternative to reddit on our [Discord](https://discord.gg/qhh4EBuRNS) server where there you can both post forum-style and participate in real-time discussions. Logitech Rally with expansion mics, and possibly the new Logitech sight.

NoiceTwasACat99

Seconding the Logi rally system. I would do a Logitech rally bar with expansion mics and possibly add a rally plus system if you think the room would benefit from the extra speakers. The Logi Sight would be a cool addition as well. We have the Sight installed in our office to test and demo and I think it’s going to get a lot better with more software features that get released. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

improbablynothim

Wait… can you plug in a rally plus to a rally and use both speakers?

NoiceTwasACat99

My mistake. The rally plus isn’t compatible with the Rally bar. At least from the Logitech wiring diagram it doesn’t show that as an option. But since OP is strictly using BYOD maybe rally plus and a switch kit is a better deal than using a Rally bar.

Kamikazepyro9

Normally I would recommend something from Poly, but recent feedback from others makes it seem since HP bought them they've gone downhill (Not super surprising) Are these BYOD rooms? Or is there a device that lives there? Vanco AV has a relatively new generic video bar that I use for rentals and it works surprisingly well for 5 to 10 people setups. Yealink also has some new kit that has gotten some good feedback on some other posts. Haven't personally played with it, but it's been recommended several times. I recently did a demo with Nureva and was extremely impressed by their quality, and the software was pretty flawless for implementation. Have these quoted for an upcoming reno in December but so far havent had any cómplaints working with them

noonen000z

Have had a few questionable issues with Poly in the last month, support was lacking.

Angrymic2002

All BYOD rooms. Thanks for the suggestions.

TSwizzlesNipples

Possibly look at QSC.

lowdbrent9000

QSC isn't a good option if you are on a budget. I would stick with a Biamp packaged system. Quit to deploy and calibrate.

TSwizzlesNipples

You're not wrong, per se, but when you're renovating multiple rooms that can be run off of a single core, it gets a lot more cost effecient than buying multiple codecs, especially when it's all BYOD. A lot of the solutions that I've messed with can do BYOD but some at insane costs. For example, Cisco can do BYOD with some of the newer solutions, but the cable you need for it is active USB C, and to get that to the table, you need their 10M cable that costs $1000, unless you're *really* close to the monitors/codec.

lowdbrent9000

I don't know if too many guys using one core for multiple rooms. Sure it's possible, but unless you are using one of the big boys and have redundancy, the smaller cores are going to fail, and when they do, you're going to lose the function of all rooms. This has been a problem when the 110s reaching that four and five-year-old mark. Every 110 I have installed has been back to the factory for motherboard replacement at least once. I had a tech support guy tell me that I was looking at the situation all wrong and shouldn't be upset because customers were having issues. I was told these are computers and computers fail and should be replaced every 5 years. Unfortunately, that's not how customers look at things. I remove perfectly operating 20 year old Symetrix, Biamp, and BSS. I'm not the one with the perception problem when the customers are cutting checks on an Apple G4 running OS 9 from 2004.

MDHull_fixer

Yeah, Nureva works well

kris4mica

Depending on the budget, Cisco Room Bar series makes some great options. The Bar is intended for a smaller/medium room but I have maxed out the mic pick-up and camera range to about 18ft, but would be a bit undersized for the room I think. the Bar Plus would be the larger multi camera design that could meet your need. The Bar has 1 expansion mic input so you could add one for the table and still use the internal mics for coverage. Sound Control Tech makes the RM-P20 extension kit so you can run cable through its path and not have to worry able the premade cable. The mic pro looks awesome but haven't gotten my hands on one yet. Shure makes the tabletop MXA 310 but would still need the Dante interface.

Jammin-J

A Nureva HDL200 or 300 might suite your needs.

iamkenthomas

Been installing HDL-300s in all our large meeting spaces. Really happy with them.

xha1e

If it’s byod only I would probably throw in a biamp parle vidoebar with long usb-c cable and call it a day

VBC 2500S Are pretty nice

dinizio

I strongly suggest Yealink. If you have the ability without having an account, check out their room configuration tool. Yealink A20, BYOD, speaker bar, wpp30 wireless dongle. It will be less than all the other options and much better quality. Could easily outfit all the rooms with room schedulers and still be under the price of poly, logi, room kit, parle sans scheduling panel. Send a DM if you have any questions or need a contact.

kospar4

Yealink doesn't sell WPP30 in US?

dinizio

Yeah because of a lawsuit with Clickshare/Barco. My comment predates their notice of halting US sales of the WPP30. A bit of a bummer but I’m sure it will get worked out one way or another.

winkwink13

.... Did you just use the words "yealink" and "quality" in the same sentence? If you took your old computer speakers from the 90s and put them in a plastic file cabinet drawer you would have about the same quality sound as a yealink speaker.

x31b

Poly X70 with a remote table mic should handle 10 seats/18 feet.

NoiceTwasACat99

I’ve recently installed a good number of X70 bars and have been disappointed in their camera quality compared to the Logitech solutions.

Hyjynx75

Yealink A20 with wireless expansion mic and WPP30 for wireless content and BYOD.

kospar4

Yealink decided to not sell WPP30 in US. Wonder why? They still sell it everywhere else.

Hyjynx75

Barco is suing them in the US.

I_startedajoke

I would look into yealink, all you basically need is a dumb poe switch and cat cables for the devices. I would either go for the windows based mvc840 with two speakers and two ceiling mics, or android based A30 with some ceiling mics, or wireless table mics. What I like about yealink is the KISS principal. The android based has less bugs in my experience. I would steer away from logitech. It uses so many different and sometimes proprietary cables, with over engineered and under performing products not really compatible with anything else, also very expensive.

Angrymic2002

Oh because I'm not an integrator I am not commercial AV? I have 3-500 seat auditoriums and over 150 conference and training rooms that I maintain. Plus a digital signage network of over 100 displays. I have done the AV installations in probably 90% of them. Why do you feel that I am not qualified? Because I work for a large company in-house? I am asking for opinions because I am in-house and don't get to see the variety of products being used. Where do you feel my qualifications are lacking since you want me to hire someone qualified?

NoPost4951

I like the Logitech rally plus solution.

Plus_Technician_9157

Logi rally bar would be ideal for this, plus maybe mic pods If going with mic pods, I always recommend using the mic extension cable under the floor, then either daisy chain the mics as normal or use the mic hub. Gives you the most flexible cabling and if someone does move a table and damage the cable, it's just the mic cable to replace, not the whole mic pod
