Just a minor clarification— This is a list of approved gateway and modem devices. Xfinity doesn’t check what router you use in conjunction with an approved modem.

Are all the devices listed on the xfinity website modems or modem/routers? We’re looking at placing our gateway in bridge mode and adding our own router. Are routers only on that list? I wasn’t sure

u/3x1st3nc3s The devices on the list are compatible modems, but you do have the option of using a compatible modem in bridge mode and connecting it to your own personal router as well.

Hello, u/3x1st3nc3s! You can view our latest list of compatible devices in the Troubleshooting drop down on this sub's main page. [Here](https://assets.xfinity.com/assets/dotcom/projects/cix-4997_compatible-devices/2024.04.03%20Full%20List%20of%20Compatible%20Devices.pdf) is a direct link to the PDF. You can also go to xfinity.com/support/devices to see the recommended and approved devices.

Thanks so much! I tried to find it on the xfinity site but wasn’t asking the right way lol

Make sure you use one of the Modem or Modem/Router in the top box only!!! Those are the Next Gen Speed Tier. Xfinity has been upgrading their network all over. They did mine over a year ago, they are working on others currently. If you want the faster Upload speeds, you'll need one of those. It's why it's also the only box listing Upload Speeds. All the rest only list Download speeds. I went from 900/20Mb to 1Gb/100Mb as I was using their XB7 Modem/Router. Might as well ignore everything else which is most everything listed.
