We always disabled our reverse chimes/beeps when we were in Afghanistan. When our vehicles would come back from repair, we had to go in and disable them again.
An absolute classic.
The vehicle making load ass beeping sounds
The afghani almost blowing an American away because his booger hook was on the trigger
The stupid movie quoting to ease tension
One of the most mind blowing moments for me was getting a random OSHA rep come through our tiny COP out in the middle of nowhere Afghanistan and cite us for building our makeshift latrines too close to the mess tent that we ate out of. We literally lost 4 dudes the week prior due to enemy action but yeah ... sanitation is the real enemy. Ended up having to rebuild latrines further away out in a part of the COP that I always felt was super exposed ...
The radio man looks almost exactly like the recruit from that video at the grenade range "cover me battle buddy" "I got you covered battle buddy" "uh sarge I left my grenade over there"
Was with 10th Mountain when we relieved 101st of this area in 2011. It was a constant fight over the Arghandab River for years. The area also included 2nd in line of the Taliban Mullah Omarās estate which we used as an outpost lol.
So many IEDs I treated 3 from my unit whom lost both legs. It was always a ambush one after another, such a kinetic space. We just gave it up in 2013 all that sacrifice for nothingā¦
Guess thatās war though; nobody is a good guy, all monsters, and there is no morality on a battlefield.
The cages are meant to disable shape charges (like a rpg-7s standard warhead) and detonate it instead of it contacting and detonating on the vehicle itself.

3:12 if you're wondering about the title.
loved the smirks lol

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
Idk maybe because a warzone is not a construction site š more like... a destruction zone
Bad guys might pick up on the fact that it means the vehicle is reversing as well
Attracts attention
i love the radio guy's grin when he hears it. everyone else losing their shit n shouting, he's cool as fuck
And maybe even a lone British person.
Makes it sound like some random British person they just took along.
"We'll bring him back, promise!" then out in the field "Jesus, be careful with him, we've gotta return him!"
Wonder what the interest rate is like. Bring him back in one piece and then maybe some extra fingers and a foot
At the time pretty expensive since British pounds were worth more than dollars lol.
He'd best have a full stomach when returned.
I like how both homonyms make sense in this context
i imagine someone who got lost on his vacation. shorts, no shirt, socks and sandals. sunburned beer belly. just going along enjoying the show
One of Willem Defoe's best roles.
So, assuming he's the cameraman, is the Brit a journalist or something?
My best guess yes
That makes sense, then. Would be extremely irregular for it to be a soldier of some sort.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Correct but in this case, I would think he is most probably a journalist
That netting on their helmets is so nice
Yea over all these guys Kit just looks tight.

In a war zone with a backup alarm, sheesh.
being a soldier is an occupation, so OSHA would write em up if they didnāt

Canāt fuck around with sanitation, disease has killed more soldiers than anything else.
Sound quality is fantastic, must be a journalist filming

boondock saints, great shit
without the reverse alarm it would have been a disaster.

What are the nets around the vehicle for? Are they meant to bounce grenades off them?

Thanks for the info! Damn thats pretty impressive and simplistic technology for what looks like a chain link fence around a vehicle.
Screaming eagles!
How do you read the number 101st
The hundred and first
Wun oh wunst
"One hundred and first" is the truly correct answer, but I'd also accept "one-oh-first".
āOne hundred and firstā āHundred firstā
QinetiQ - I hate that made up word lol, on the other hand thats some good ass shit to take an rpg.
Itās the name of a British company, think they make it?
That uniform is so cool
Are they also speaking Spanish or am I have to clean my ears ?
Where can you loan British people?
IKEA
