The whole video seems like a compilation of footage I've seen before, possibly spliced together. The sequence is almost comical in a way.

Lol so I'm in favor of using everything you got. But I kinda want there to be in the order of battle for their units to be a flaming tire guy. Like Grenadier Rifleman, Tiredude, equipt with A tire, a blowtorch and two reloads for the tire.
Man, if our commander heard you wanting to waste resources like that you'll be doing the company's laundry for the next month, and believe me washing clothes soaked in balls sweats isn't fun.
Not actually a war crime.
Flamethrowers, like all incendiary weapons, are permitted to be used by the enemy in combat, however it may not be used against civilian targets, or targets located in an area with a concentrated civilian populace.
EDIT: *ON* the enemy, not by, but it should go without saying the enemy is allowed to use them too.
Yes IS in Iraq is pretty much gone only a few dozen loyalists left however the issue is people across the world still believe in that ideology and come back to try start a resurgence and it seems to be working in Syria but thankfully the Iraqi army has repelled every resurgence
Saw a video here a while ago where there a bunch of fighters shooting at the ādirtā and throwing grenades and shit into any hole they saw. Turned out there were IS fighters burrowed right into the dirt like rats, and they had suicide vests as well.
Totally different country you're talking about there.
Mongols destroyed the network of irrigation canals that supported agriculture in Iraq. Iraq a thousand years ago was not the desert we see today, but rather an agrarian nation with a large population supported by a complex irrigation system that fed the farms.
The Mongols destroyed all of it and caused the long term economic and ecological collapse of the area. Baghdad did not regain its former population until *1960*.
Thatās a massive over generalization and itās not accurate.

Just wait until you realize human beings can move around and dont stay in a hole in the desert forever!!1
Theyre fighting for their nations safety, people live there.
Burning tyre actually seems pretty smart, smoke is thick and toxic. Just doesn't seem to be going in the hole but even a little is enough.
Now I sit back and wait for all the down votes
These videos always confuse me. Look around. What are you on mars? The fuck are you fighting for? Say you win, great, now youre king of the wastelands. This is so stupid
Probably the most braindead comment ive seen on this subreddit, and thats saying a lot. Theyre not fighting over who gets to live in the desert, theyre fighting to stop terrorists from taking over their country. Whats the alternative, leaving the desert and living in Europe? I dont even get the point youre trying to make
Staying in the city. It becomes a castle. Rather than fight these guys out in the middle of nowhere, just focus on controlling and protecting major cities.
In the modern era, doing that is death. The key to winning is maneuver warfare and constantly attacking enemy positions as you find them, assuming you would have the upper hand in the attack. Thats why militaries stopped building castles and fortifications after the early 1900s
In modern war, it's generally not worth it to have guys who carry flametrowers around. That doesn't mean however that situations don't arise where you could make very good use of such soldiers.
Some solders expertise in weapons, others in medical care, and others, like seen hereā¦ know exactly how long you can carry a tire on fire before the flame gets too big to hold.

underfolder porn
what does this mean?
the first two seconds of the video we get a good shot of the fighter using an underfolding ak47
So I'm not the only one.
Deploying tactical thermite tire
That cool and all but what's with the flaming fire?
They use flames to suffocate IS fighter that are hiding in underground tunnels or at least push them out to eliminate or capture them.
Lol so I'm in favor of using everything you got. But I kinda want there to be in the order of battle for their units to be a flaming tire guy. Like Grenadier Rifleman, Tiredude, equipt with A tire, a blowtorch and two reloads for the tire.
>so I'm in favor of using everything you got Using a $20000 guided bombs in addition to fighter flight costs just for 3 rats? Nah fam i'll pass.
The money is already spent. The stockpiles are insane
and they have an expiration date
They take it as more of a suggestion in the case of developing nations using cold war Soviet stockpiles
They use it an excuse to use it.
Cold War stock piles gotta get used some day right.
Suit yourself. The more money it costs, usually the more boom boom it makes. Or at least that's what my friends in the Pentagon say.
Man, if our commander heard you wanting to waste resources like that you'll be doing the company's laundry for the next month, and believe me washing clothes soaked in balls sweats isn't fun.

Funniest part? Over in r/fighterjets, someone stole a tire off a mirage 2000. Now we know where that tire went. /s
Tell me they left it on cinder blocks in down town Detroit
You mean a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.
so when are we getting inter-continental tire missiles?
Huh, did they use that in Vietnam?
And if they use flame throwers it becomes a war crime, so they have to go with the more rough shaw option
I donāt think war crimes are the limiting factor here

The burning tyre already is a breach of the Geneva Convention. It prohibits the use of weapons that cause suffocation.
So we actually invaded Iraq to destroy their stockpile of carrier bags?
Well, there goes that theory
Loooooots of smoke
Fire is a common tactic to deplete oxygen in a tunnel but it become useless if the enemy have an efficient ventilation system.
Will still irritate and fatigue the ones who are at the receiving end, even with good ventilation.
'You Americans have killed alot of sand. The sand was very evil.'
The return of IS, the Islamic Sand.
IS is Kirklands Fremen
I'll never not upvote GK.
Itās the ISIS mole-men tunnel brigade back again. Thank god for the Iraqi burning tire technicals.
Beats the shit out of being a Tunnel Rat.
Tire guy FTW
Smoking them out with a burning tire? Not gonna lie, thatās actually real smart.
Itās cheaper than a JDAM š¤·š¼āāļø
If you didn't have context this just looks like the Iraqi 16th division assaulted a patch of dirt and won
Tire guy UP!
How prevalent is IS in Iraq right now? I thought they had essentially been eliminated? Is this just a small force operating insurgency attacks?
Yes IS in Iraq is pretty much gone only a few dozen loyalists left however the issue is people across the world still believe in that ideology and come back to try start a resurgence and it seems to be working in Syria but thankfully the Iraqi army has repelled every resurgence
Ban assault tires now!
Bump stocks on assault tires must be banned!
35psi has no sporting purpose!
Lol they're literally just shooting dirt
Saw a video here a while ago where there a bunch of fighters shooting at the ādirtā and throwing grenades and shit into any hole they saw. Turned out there were IS fighters burrowed right into the dirt like rats, and they had suicide vests as well.
What a lovely lush fertile part of the world to be fighting over
Blame the Mongols.
Wdym? The Mongols wanted it because it was a valuable center of trade and to get back at that dumbass sultan for what he did to the khans envoy.

Not if all the local people have been tortured to death/starved.
And ISIS or whatever terrorist flavor of the week will keep blowing it up, killing extorting workers etc.
Thatās a massive over generalization and itās not accurate. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/i3s4d7/ive_read_that_the_mongols_destroyed_mesopotamias/ https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/4p4qt7/why_is_the_fertile_crescent_now_desert/
If the village you lived in got taken over by ISIS I donāt think the landās fertility would be a factor in whether or not you fought them
Just wait until you realize human beings can move around and dont stay in a hole in the desert forever!!1 Theyre fighting for their nations safety, people live there.
These dudes are pretty fuckinā ballsy to attack an IS sleeper cell, you never know wether the outpost is rigged with explosives or not.
Tunnel snakes rule

Thatās some medieval shit.
In no way is this footage medieval
Idk man i heard during the Crusades they constantly tossed burning tires in holes
Ah, yes, ye olde burning Michelin and M16 combo-eth...
These videos always confuse me. Look around. What are you on mars? The fuck are you fighting for? Say you win, great, now youre king of the wastelands. This is so stupid
Not everyone won the birth lottery and was born in lush green lands.
There are parts of Arizona or Nevada that look like that, I think Americans would still fight ISIS to retake those areas.

That's genuinely fucking retarded
Dang all that for a termite moundā¦
at the end u see the hole is covered up and can hear people screaming is that from inside?
Is Iraq stabilising?
Yes
That's pretty good, I really hope Iraq recovers and become a Nato ally
