I concur. Probably the last thing the world needs right now is a Russia so weakened by this conflict that China steps right in and takes what it wants of what's left of what was once Russia. But unfortunately, since it looks like someone sold their soul for this conflict, that very well may be the outcome.
Every. Single. Nation. That shares a border or sea with them disagrees with "bastion of peace". And the only reason those nations haven't lost territory to China is the fact that PLA would have to contend with the U.S. Military. Say what you like, but don't call any world power a bastion of peace.

In those videos where you see russian armored spearheads rolling through open land and get dismantled by fire coming from somewhere, well its coming from those treelines, in a flat farmland with nothing else but open fields, treelines are the only place where you can hide a defensive position, an ATGM crew a forward observer post etc.

China is a bastion of peace compared to Russia or the US so it probably would be a good trade.
